Today wasn't the most exciting day. At school, we began doing our 6 week assessments. Today I had my Literature test and tomorrow I will have my Social Studies test. I hope for a bright day tomorrow!

Yesterday was a good day. Had great time in school. Came back and did my regular class, leadership and Hyper. We did a lot of rolls and falls. Today I will help out my sisters class and then have my mentor and mentee session before Black Belt Class. Really long day.
Actually doing an entry before nighttime, this is a new concept to me. Rolls/Falls and Situps are still giving me some serious trouble but working to get all my other numbers up. Now to get those sparing classes and rounds. This should be interesting since I don't think I have spared since my Bo Cho test.

Tombstone may have deviated from the true story a bit, but it was darn right entertaining. It's even more fun to let the boys watch the movie, then listen to them repeat some of the lines around their mother. Whack! Whoops. The one who got the whack was me. I guess she knows me too well. Let's see, ever get to the end of the day and you have no idea what you did? You would be amazed how long it took to write this line because I am racking my brain trying to think what happened today. I went to work, and that was very non-eventful. Oh...
So excited about Jr Instructor's Camp this weekend. Lake Norman has about 16 students going and they are so excited! We are going to have so much fun!
I use to lecture and teach classes at my old job all the time but it is very different when you are constantly moving and working out vs standing in front of a lecture hall and giving a presentation or speech. Never realized how difficult it is to say "left foot up" and then have to bring up your own right foot to mirror everyone... Really messes with the brain. Class today was pretty awesome, it is great to be back in the "swing of things". Working on regaining my strength to beat my low pretest numbers.
Long day. Been going since I woke up this AM. I know it is going to be a busy week. What a relief to work out a little. Long day. Working with this pull up bar. I can hold my weight off the floor for a few seconds. That's progress from yesterday. I may be able to work myself up to half a pull up. Working on the first part of Working with this pull up bar. I can hold my weight off the floor for a few seconds. That's progress from yesterday. I may be able to work myself up to half a pull up. Working on the first part of Koryo. Kinda got the stick form. Can't remember e staff form....should have video taped the form. Too tired to study the study guides....they would just get more jumbled than they already are in my head. u
Today was my Birthday! The sad part about it though was I had to go to school. Anyway I had a great birthday. Went to school, my parents gave me a funny birthday card before I went to school as well. Came back and started doing homework and requirements. My mom was preparing some Indian Food as well. The smell got me so hungry. Then I went to Hyper and after took a class, Then came after class and my cousins were home. We all cut the cake and had some amazing dinner. So good! Hope everyone had a great day!
Okay, lets see, where to start, well, today was just a usual normal day for me. Went on a run, worked out, took class, had a mentor session. Nothing really special. I got a lot of self defense in today. Did some sparring, nothing much. Well, I think i'll wrap it up short for now. Good night.
Happy Febuary everyone! I hope nothing to drastic happened to anyone over the last month, like a flu or something that was caused by the winter. I am suffering from a stuffy nose and my brother and sister both have a cold. Winter is not my favorite season. I hope for a bright day tomorrow!
Weekend went by very fast. I could not do any requirements on Saturday as I was very sore. Yesterday was a better day could get in some stuff done, prepared for my upcoming exams. I am totally sleep deprived. Today was good. I am done with most of requirements. Will try to get in some more pushups and situps before hitting the sack.
Yesterday was great. The weather was also wonderful. Did all my requirements and then played football with my dad in the yard. Also helped my dad in cleaning the cars.
Finally got outside today and ran the first mile. It was slow, but still running. I will have to work my way back up to more. Downloaded the written test questions and answered about 3/4 of the questions. I will need to do some research on the rest. Put it off longer than I should, but had to take care of some work stuff this weekend and I am expecting a long day tomorrow. This should be an interesting week, although likely a very long one.
Currently packing up my apartment for my move to a Townhouse in mid February. Can't believe it has been a year since I moved from Florida to North Carolina. Hopefully this move will be the last move for a while. I now remember why I bought my house in Florida and lived there for 6 years, packing up your life and moving really sucks.
I always liked that line from an old movie that I can't recall the title. It was John Ritter (Threes Company) who said it as he was dating a female body builder. Of course, John Ritter's dead and I'm sure Arnold is probably divorced, so it's a little out of context, but I can relate when I'm to tired to lift my arms. Anyway, today was a great day. We went to church, found out Katherine (wife) is a shoe in for heaven because she married me and brought me out of my wicked ways, mostly just being from the west coast. The juries still out for me. Hopefully she can put in a good word. Got home and went for a two miler. Played with the boys. Spent the whole afternoon outside because it was so awesome out today. Went zip-lining over at the neighbors house, which we built a...
Very busy, but good, weekend. 2 Birthday parties at the school. Both went well. Had grand baby and my Dad spend the night on Saturday. Good family time. Ready to hit it Monday am!
Hello. Not much happened today. This morning I went running with my dad. I emailed some colleges and did some studying, European history and Biology. I feel like I havn't been sleeping enough lately.
Had a nice couple of Black Belt classes yesterday. Lots of work on forms. Lots of changes to get down.
Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a wonderful Sunday. Today, my family and I ran a birthday party for a 5 year old at King Tiger. I think it ran very smoothly for the three of us. After that, I went out to eat at a sushi and hibachi buffet and it was awesome!
Hello, this is Jason, sorry I didn't journal these past few days. Yesterday I had a sleep over. But I still got a lot of requirements done. The sleepover was my birthday party. I had so much fun. My party was star wars themed. We had candy lightsaber pretzels, a sarlacc pit cake, it was amazing! I also figured out a way to do my rolls and falls not on hard wood floors. You see, I have this futon upstairs and I took it and laid it out so this way i'm not falling on wood. That would probably hurt a little. Well, everyone have a good day.
Today I spent time with my family. It was a fun day! We went to Church in the morning. Ate lunch, then started doing my requirements. Went to the movies and came back at 5. Finished up my requirements and then started studying for SS test on Tuesday. Today was a pretty good day. Hung out with family and went to movies. The only sad part was that when we started driving back I remembered we had school the next day. Ugh. Anyways hope everyone had a great day!
Nala and I had a nice run/walk in the greenway. We took it easy, my low back has been hurting and I decided not to push it. Finally got a pull up bar. As predicted, I could not hold myself up. I could do some modified pull ups with the chair holding most of my weight. I'll really have to watch my back and shoulder with this thing. Did not get as much done as I planned. So it goes. At least I've got some food cooked and the cat and dog are happy. I have to remember to ask if the sparring combinations, stick and staff forms are online somewhere. I can't find them.
Today, I spent most of the day sitting around while my family was asleep. We had lots of people over, which was not planned but I predicted it. For dinner, we went with the rest of my family to Tenders. I hope for a bright day tomorrow!
Yesterday we had a great Saturday Black Belt Class. We went through all our staff and stick forms and also our Pal Gwe Forms. I have been practicing all my forms everyday and my self defense too. Came home and finished my assignments and then went out with my parents for some shopping. My dad took us to a vegan restaurant downtown near the bank of america stadium. Its a place where he goes for lunch / dinner with his clients. It was good.
Around 20 Jr Tigers in class this morning. It was a fun red stripe class. It is really nice to see how much improved kids that have been taking classes for a short while are. When you watch them do something like situps that they really struggled with months before and they can now do them without their feet being held and no elbows. It may seem like such a little thing, but to a little kid, that's pretty big. Reviewed a lot of poomsaes in class this morning and worked on some self-defense after class with Master Tucker and Master Natasya. Thank you ma'ams!
Fantastic sparring class. Even though I was the only adult in class, which worked out to my benefit because I got to spar Instructor Marcus. He's fast, quick, powerful and really knows his stuff. It's always a pleasure spar someone like him. It makes me get out of my comfort zone and step it up a notch. I hope it improves my skills as well. Of course I had a leg crash with one of the rounds with my fellow classmates. I'll be gimping for a little while, but it's a good pain. For those who saw Kung Fu Panda 3, that was awesome! That is my favorite animated movie series. Even at age 45, I can really enjoy a good cartoon. And if you don't think they are made for adults, watch the old Warner Brothers. I laugh more than the kids. I wonder when we get to master our...
Today in black belt class we practiced lots of the black belt forms including staff and stick forms. I was still sore from Thursday but someone showed me how to ease the soreness. I hope for a bright day tomorrow!
I was feeling a little beat down yesterday, but today was a much better. Thanks to Master Randle for talking me off the edge. Thanks to Master Knight for his never ending patience. And of course, I can not forget my Tae Kwon Do buddy, Instructor Foster, who is always my cheerleader. We started out in the Tuesday/Thursday morning adult class together. He is so talented and such a great family man. Y'all are great. Masters Hartle led a great class today. Learned a lot. I appreciated that it was well organized and moved fast. I can better study on my own and with my mentor, now that we have had an introduction to forms and sticks in class. This cycle will be challenging because of schedule changes, the new location, and snow days. Subtle changes in the forms does not help either. Just finished my conference (it lasted 1 to...
I am up a hurry to write journal. I am about to go to a Family Freind's house. Anyway today I finished up my pre-test requiems to. Went to BB class and then sparring. Came back home at around 2 and ate. Then went to guitar class and came back home. Feel like I felt accomplished today. I don't know why but it just feels like it. I got 3 credits in total today. Debating on whether using the extra credit bonus stuff all on sparring. Still trying to make up mind on what to do with that bonus credits. Hope everyone had a great day!
Good day yesterday with surprise in the evening. My parents took us to see Kung Fu Panda 3 in the evening. It was hilarious. I did the challenge which Master Evins posted and thank you sir for all the bonus credits. Getting ready for Black Belt class this morning and will do my run in the evening today
Another long day at work today. I missed dinner with the family. Trying to work on higher belt self-defense is more challenging without a partner. I need to get in more practice on poomsaes too. Looking forward to the nice weekend and hoping to get outside some.
Rochelle, hopefully you might read this. It takes an incredibly strong person to be a physician, and you are one in a million. I don't know how you manage running a clinic and doing all you do, but you have always impressed me. Your "can do" attitude has inspired me many times over. I take for granted the spare time in my life too often and I want to let you know we are here, and we believe you can do this. God Bless and drive on!!!
Ahhh! It's good to breath again. I'm finally getting rid of this head cold and what a difference it makes doing requirements. For those who are still suffering with a cold, I will be praying for you. It's been a nice day even though I was stuck at home with the boys for school. There's no better way to test a dads patience than schooling his boys and spending all day with them. There great boys but sometimes I get this urge to leave out a bowl of water and a bag of chips and drive off into the horizon. But, what fun would that be. I'm sure I would get bored soon enough. Hope to see a lot of you at the Kung Fu Panda movie. We are bringing some friends of ours as well and maybe we can hook them up with some King Tiger mojo. I think it's...
Went to Weekday black belt class today. Master Chelly made us do that challenge, which is cool as I lack self motivation. I better write down all the homework I have to do over the weekend. It's quite a bit, but I'll handel it. I should do a longer run this weekend, maybe tomorrow morning if I get up early enough.
Today we did the daily challenge and practiced poopmsaes and self defenses. I am still very sore from yesterday's kickboxing class but I will power through it. I hope for a bright day tomorrow!
Generally, people go along taking their lives for granted. Then they get that call from their doctor and their lives are forever changed. They no longer have the luxury of taking life for granted. All of a sudden, life is very precious and every moment counts. What is most important becomes instantly clear. I have had to make that call too many times this past week. I have more to make next week. So far 2016 has been unhappily busy. Feeling weary and tired down to the bone. Hard, physically demanding surgeries this week. Difficult conversations. MRI to evaluate this persistent upper back pain/chest pain. Not enough time for everything I have to do, not to mention everything I want to do. All I can do is keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Loving all the challenges! The extra work out is great, the credits are even better....but I really love how everyone is getting into them! Not just the peeps on the cycle, but even my other students! Today, even the black belts that are not on the cycle wanted to do it....yesterday, after we finished, my after school kiddos all grabbed jump ropes! Every time I went into the back they would tell me who had the most rounds! Too much fun!
My legs are sore since yesterday. I can barely walk. Need to get some leg "rest". Anyway had a good day at school. Happy I got good grade fore test and quizzes. Also finished up my Writing Assignment for ELA. Then went to programming club. Had some fin there as well. My freinds and I made shriek head and 3D printed it. Pocket Sized. Funny to see. Then came back did the challenge. My legs were pretty sore while doing the challenge. Still manged to do it. Also need to buy a new jump- rope. I can't find my other one even though I used 3 days ago. I had to jump higher that normal when using this small jump- rope. Still did it though. After that played some games with my friends. Right now about to go to my cousin's house. Hope everyone had a great day!
Crazy long day yesterday. I came back from school and went straight to Kumon. From there went to swimming class. We worked on our techniques. Primarily worked on breast strokes and back strokes. We did not do any Individual Medley. At school did a lot of running. We played football and I was the wide receiver. It was fun. Did the Cam Newton bow after touchdown. Finished all my requirements for the day in the morning and school and when I came back tired from swimming class my parents showed me the challenge which Master Evins posted. It was tough but I made it
So Master Chelley had us do the FB challenge yesterday, but she forgot to have us do the poomse before and after each round. So,... we did the challenge a second time with the poomses. Nice quad burn going there. Also ripped the seam of my pants doing the first set of air squats. LOL With about 4 days to go in my initial 24 day challenge, I have lost 9 lbs. Goal is to loose at least 12 more lbs.
Today I did the daily challenge and it was super hard! Started with my 4th dan poomsae and went down to 1st dan. The jump ropes were pretty easy but the air squats and pistol squats were killer on my quads. I will definitely be sore tomorrow.
Today would have been nice to get some pushups done at work, but that doesn't work out for me very often. I'm still trying to recover from sparring class and then today's challenge. So glad tomorrow is Friday, but January is practically over and still so much to accomplish. Still more to do today and tomorrow is fast approaching.
Well. Regular day today, I guess. I'm a bit behind on homework, which is a bother. I absolutly want to get all my requirments in the green. None of them should be in the orange. Anyhow, I have the weekend to work on both school and TKD, so that's good. Instructor Marcus's class was excellent. As almost everyone knows by now, we did some kick boxing.
Today was so exciting. I was chosen to play the saxophone! I'm very excited. I start on the sixteenth of February. This way I have enough time to go to the store and switch out my clarinet and get my new saxophone. Did the challenge today. We had to do it twice because we forgot to do the poomsaes the first time. It was hard the second time because it makes you so sore. I did so many squats, their are not even words to describe the pain! Then, we were kick boxing and we had to do even more squats. I think i've had to do enough squats for a day. Well, good night.
Started the day forcing myself out the door to run my 3.2 miles....made it in 39:27. I was a little surprised, I thought I would be closer to 42 or 43 minutes, but I had Inst Dege's 40:23 stuck in my head, so....thanks for the push, ma'am! Got to the school and did some push ups, sit ups and kicks. Wanted to do the challenge, but thought it better to wait for my other peeps so that we could do it together. So at about 5:00, me, Master Hartle, Jaylen, Jason and Hannah did our challenge, went great.......until I realized that we did it wrong!!!!!! I forgot to have us do the forms....so we did 4 rounds of jump ropes, air squats and pistol squats all in 5 to 7 minutes.......just enough to get good and sweaty.... Luckily, just before I posted the video, I noticed that it took Mr. Foster 10 ish...
I figured it would be wise to skip class tonight since I'm hacking like a thirty year smoker. I found the challenge on Facebook and had a good time with that one. Those pistons are tough. I was really working hard on doing the double unders. Those look cool, but I haven't learn the technique yet. Maybe next challenge. Master Hartle was flying with that jump rope. Clarify, Master Chelley Hartle. I'm sure Master Conrad Hartle was doing his best:) I would have loved to get up to Lake Norman King Tiger for there sparring, rolls, and everything else they were offering. Hopefully I will kick this cold soon and get in on the fun. Stay classy King Tiger!!
Today is one of those ugh days. Woke up. Did some requirements. Went to school. Came back had a lot of homework. Did some requirements. And then started studying. I have 2 quizzes and a test tommorow. Also did the challage. My legs are still kind of sore from that might be because I did BB class today as well. Anyway sorry if this journal is kind of short. Just trying to study for tommrow. Wanna do good and enjoy the weekend.
Well we survived challenge #2 followed by kickboxing in which someone made us do even more squats. But at least PMAA is a nice relaxing class, right?
Today I did my first sparing class as a black belt it was kinda hard but at the same time easy. We did kick boxing and did roll's and fall's. Im glad I went to sparing class because I'm now in the green in some of my stuff. Also I needed it.
For Heath/Physical Education at my school we had our height and weight measured. I found out I am 5'3! I also ran one mile (23 laps) around the gym to add to my requirements.
Yesterday we had school after a long time. It was picture day as well. Came back from school and went to Kumon. From there went straight to Tae Kwon Do. Did my regular class and then Hyper too. We did a lot of footwork in sparring. Another long day today. I am really looking forward to the Super Bowl
I plan to run my 5K run to get my baseline for the physical exam. Not expecting to break any records. Just getting over (I hope) this cold I have had for the last couple of days. My pre test results were a little disappointing. Push-ups (1 min) 38 V-ups (1 min) 26 Burpees (1 min) 22 Pull-ups 5 Really need to work on my endurance
Today at work was a pretty good day although I got spoiled not having to get the kids up for school for 5 days in a row. My nose is still annoying, but nothing like last night. I think pushups are the worst due to the angle of the head. It would be nice if this is short lived. Rest is required. Tomorrow is another day, but I need to stick to the list better.
Unfortunately today was the boys' home study day so I was able to suffer at home. Head colds can really take it out of you. This afternoon I went to lay down for a short time. Woke up 3 1/2 hours later. Felt good. I think that should be one of our requirements, Nap time. I felt so good I went for a run before we headed out to see the circus down at Time Warner Cable Arena. Great show, the boys loved it. I know there's a lot of controversy with circus', but a kids has to experience it at least once. Disappointed with the clowns. They were more dancers than clowns. I remember clowns being funny, not all this choreography stuff. Well, that's my old school talking again. "Back in my days clowns were funny!" and everything was uphill right? Take care out there my fellow Cycleillians. To obtain...
Quick shout out to Master Chelley for somehow getting me to do the FB Challenge when I had decided it seemed to much during my recovery period. I wish I could feel my right shoulder, but I doubt that will happen without a large dose of Tylenol. I am slowly chipping away at these daily goals but still slow going while I try to not push myself to hard.
Today at school I was leaving my lab and I cut my self on my binder! Boy, did it hurt! I had to see the nurse because it would not stop bleeding. I washed it in the sink and it just started bleeding again. The nurse had to put a really thick pressure dressing on it and three band aids. Then later she took those off, put two more on and now those are off but i'm wearing saniderm now. It's like a clear plastic saran wrap. This way the cut doesn't open back up and start bleeding again. I got scared during the nurse visit because she checked to see if it was deep enough to where it had to get stitches. I was so nervous and scared. Thankfully I don't. Well, good night everybody and stay safe, by which I mean don't cut yourself on binders.
I missed a good opprutiniy. I could have done the challenge but didn't check the Facebook page till now. I have to start looking at Facebook more actively. Anyway did my requirements for today. Except kicking. I forgot all about that. So have to do that after this. Went to school. Got a little overwhelmed when half my teachers said I have quizzes in their class on Friday. I need to study a lot. Excepcially French. That language is so hard for me for some reason. The class itself goes very fast. Today we had to make 2 days worth of lessons because we missed days of the snow. Then our teacher said we would have a quiz on it on Friday. Had a bit of homework to do today. Came back home did my requirements. Then had to get ready for Religious Ed. Class. Came back finished up some SS....
Things are not going as planned for me. This semester is getting tougher than I expected it to be. There are days when I just want to give up everything. But tend to muster the strength back again. I am unable to give my best on many things going on in life. Well nothing much to jot down today, keeping up with requirements well, will be starting my mentee sessions today.
Great day yesterday. No school again yesterday. So did my requirements and revised my study guide. I saw Master Evins post the challenge in FB but my dad was in meetings all day. So i did my challenge after the Black Belt class in the evening. Had a great mentor session and mentee session.
Yesterday was a recovery/get well day. Continued with 24 day challenge. Let shoulder rest for the day. Plan to do the jump rope challenge this morning after my workout.
I left work a little early to get in my pretest run. I completed that in 40.23 minutes. I have had a bloody nose twice tonight, plenty of sneezes and probably gone through a full box of tissues because my nose is now running like a faucet. Maybe that run wasn't such a good idea today. Thanks to the challenge today I have done some jump rope, pushups and situps, but I sat down to work on an essay and keep reaching for tissues. Not fun and not much of the essay done either. I have obviously not run in quite a while and need to get back into running more, but maybe it needs to be a little warmer for me.
This will be short and something due to my head about to explode. Great day, but went down hill after class. Grateful to Master Evins for his Facebook challenge. I terrible about checking Facebook, in fact, I'm not a fan of Facebook. But, this was fun and some good extra credit, so maybe there are some good things about Facebook. Ok, my head is spinning. going to bed now. Take care out there.
No school today again. I ran a bit. Went to sparring and family class. I'm quite tired at the moment.
Long day, but good day. Proud of my peeps for doing the challenge. Looking forward to working out with some of the Master Instructors tomorrow morning! Master Evins just posted some extra credits for doing the challenge on the Black Belt Facebook site....woo hoo! Today is my Dad's 70th birthday.......and tomorrow, Tyce's Birthday! Much Love!
Hello, today I had 2 mentor sessions and 1 mentee session. I did the jumprope/situp/pushups challenge today. I must say, it was a little bit harder than I thought it would be. It really got my arms tired. Today I got in a nice 2-mile run. Did some requirements and other stuff. From now on i'm gonna take this a step up and do more pushups and sit ups a day. When I first read the challenge I wasn't paying attention all that well so I thought we had to do 20 double unders and 40 singles. When I saw that, I was like, oh man, this will be a while. But then Mrs. Master Hartle explained to me the concept. Well, have a good night!
Back to school. Went to school today. A normal day. Had a bit of homework. Went to marching band practice. Came back did my requirements. Went to BB class. Did some requirements their as well. Came back home writing this journal. Have to eat dinner as well. Then finish up reuqments. Had a great day. Hope everyone else have a great day!
I have finished most of what was left of my pretest. I did my push ups, sit ups, squat-thrusts (burpees) and v-ups on Saturday. Today I finished my run. I only have to do my plank and pull ups. I hope for a successful cycle run this year.
This past couple of dayshave bean good for me. I got a lot of things for my black belt done. The reason I do not get things done that much is because I do not have time to do them. I also have basketball, and helping my mom with my brother. But know I have all day to do that
Attempted to do my pretest but didn't realize how much muscle mass being sick for 2 months can make you lose. Not sure if I want to post the results or not cause they are highly disappointing to me (compared to what I could do in November before I got sick). On another note, I came back from vacation to a nail in my tire. Was really upset until I remembered I had road hazard protection for the first year after I bought the car so instead of $200 for the new tire, it will only cost me 50 bucks.
Yesterday was a great day. Woke up a little late and saw my neighbours calling us to play in the snow before it melts. So my sister and i went to sled in our backyard with our friends. We played till noon and then i came home and did my requirements. I did my pre-test run yesterday at 7:24mins. Went to my regular class and then did leadership and then finally Hyper. It was great working out. No school today as well as CMS is closed. Came home and had dinner and watched a movie with my parents. Today is going to be a long day as i have to help out my sisters class at 6pm and then all the way upto Black Belt class which finishes at 8.30pm.
Slipped on the ice and aggravated my shoulder. Heavy snatches and overhead squats left me in pain all day. I did my pre test, but I was limited by my pain. I will redo today.
Logged in completed requirements from last week yesterday. Did not run yet since there was more snow and ice remaining yesterday. I might have to leave work early one day to fit that in. I will have to take my flashcards with me to work and hope I get a chance to review them.
Finally got a 3 miler in today. Weather temperature was perfect for it. The only problem was it was like running through a 7-11 Slushie. Spent most of the morning trying to get my piece of junk car out of the driveway. Chevy makers must be having a good laugh at my expense when they made the traction control on my car. It basically doesn't allow the wheel to move any further if the car feels it's slipping. So, the piece of junk was just sitting in my driveway making that annoying thudding sound and I wasn't going anywhere. Good times. For those who are or will be driving soon, take the no text when driving seriously. During my run, I always face traffic just in case, and here comes this teenager girl, car wandering into the shoulder of the road where I was running. I watched in amazement as she...
Ohhhhhh my gosh. You would not believe the weekend I have had. So yall know how it snowed right? Well, I couldn't go outside at all! I was sick and that was not cool. I couldn't do any requirements because I was weak and had no energy. All day I laid on the couch watching batman. So about the whole hapkedo thing, well, one day my uniform bag was so full I took my Bo Cho Dan out. I forgot to put it back in. So today, I got to wear a hapkedo black belt of some sort. It was cool. Well, good night.
Already tired of the snow....I prefer the warmer weather! Have had a sinus infection thingy going on. Felt better today and plan on doing my pre-test tomorrow. Great job to all those who have done it....I fear that my numbers will not look that good !
Are you serious? CMS is off tommrow while our school is still running normal schedule. That's sad. Anyway had a great sleep inn day. Did my requirements all throughout the day. Played some games and then went to hyper. I also had some homework to do today. Finished up a project then did a class after hyper. Have to get ready for school tomorrow and wake up early. Hope everyone had a great day.
We opened an hour late today. One of my staff could not make it in because of childcare issues. Needless to say it was a tad crazy. We were booked friday, so trying to reschedule that many people is difficult when the week was pretty full already. Doing that while being short staffed is next to impossible. But my staff rolls with the punches and patients take their clue from the staff. If we act like it is crazy, the patients feel that tension. Luckily my staff acted like it was business as usual. We were all late getting out of the office, but they seem to take it in stride. I began to work out as soon as I got home. I hit an all new high with my sit ups and push ups today at 125 each. I'm quite proud even though I'm still not at my daily requirement...
No school today which was suprising. I shoved the driveway of ice the entire morning. A nice layer of about 1 inch, probably a bit less. I did some requirments, not enough really. I heard that there's class today, so I'll be going in just a bit.
Today is beginning to one of the worst day ever. The snow on the ground and my snow balls from the snow ball fight I had are melt away. I don't want it to go away so I better enjoy it wile it last. But before I go I had to wright this journal Entry.
I did all m requirements yesterday. I am on red/orange on pushups, I seriously have to do more of them each day. I will be starting my mentee sessions from wednesday. I have two important exams coming up, one on Feb 9th and the second on Feb 12th. I am overwhelmed in their preparations. The one on Feb 12th is the toughest. Though I am preparing well, I am a little nervous. Today is going to be busy with kids at home, will squeeze in requirements and studying for my exams. Have a great day all.
Yesterday was fun day. Finished my assignments in the morning and then went to sled in our backyard with our friends. We had so much fun going down the sled... We were exhausted and had lunch. I finished my requirements while watching the Broncos game so that I could be all set for the Panthers. What an amazing game the Panthers played. The destroyed the Cardinals and are now in the Super Bowl. No school today. This means i will do extra requirements today as well. My dad said that we have regular class at Tae Kwon Do today.
Wiped out today for some reason. I need to get my throttle revving again. Probably need to change up the pattern I do my requirements so it doesn't get repetitive. It was fun doing my one mile in the snow. It was like running on a slip and slide. Adds a little adventure to the run. I reminding me of that dream I get some times, when your being chased by something down a long hallway and you start running as fast as you can, but you end up doing the bionic man slowmo run. Our school cancelled for tomorrow. Something about the possibility of a random snowflake making it's way to my cars interior, causing a slight discomfort in temperature.
I just got back after 8 days in the Southern Hemisphere off the coast of Colombia. Not going to lie, wish i was still there. Got a ton of walking and running done while on the boat and on shore but wasnt really able to get much done in the way of other workouts. Wish I could count lifting a 18 month old and 3 year old up and down as pushups and i would probably be halfway to my requirements. Had a couple nice falls when the boat was really rocking last night (10+ ft waves can make even a very large ship roll) but not sure if i can count those as falls/rolls. Was very interesting to be in the middle of January and experiencing spring/summer weather on a beach on a tropical island, would recommend it if you havent tried it... To bad the casino beat me...
When I went over to my aunts house I was taking her dog's out. They were close to the fence so I pulled and pulled and pulled but he wouldn't move. I pulled even harder and his leash popped off. I tried to get him but he was too fast. I went home with a sad look on my face I was thinking to my self what was I going to tell my aunt. At the time my grandma was looking for me too. So she found him and go a better leash on him the next day.
My baby brother turned 6 months yesterday. He is acting like he wants to crawl but he's not babies are so unpredictable. His name is Ethan . I also have a dog,so when my brother sits in his lithe baby chair my dog comes up and starts licking him. Ethan is petting him so he starts smiling and he's having a good time. On the first day Ethan came out I wanted to hold him so bad. He looked kinda weird at the time but he grew out of it.
Watching Panthers game right now. Decided to write this during a commercial. Did my physical test today and just have to put it in when my dad comes. Did some snow shoveling today to clear driveway but couldn't get much because of ice. 2 hour delay for school tommorow, even though everyone else is off. Panthers game started, GO PANTHERS!
I went out to jog, and the ice was too bad. Hard to even walk. Ended up doing .8 miles of suicides up and down my steep driveway (which was bone dry thanks to my work of the previous days). Also went for a walk and did 150 pushups and 100 situps while outside. Took a little over an hour. Actually nice and sunny today. Probably wait until tomorrow or Tuesday to take pretest.
How am I going to do all the daily physical requirements and get my work done? Even on these snow days, I'm spending hours doing requirements and I still have not done all my daily requirements. I think I'm just slow. Now I'm in the red in several areas. I'm going to have to do Burpees at the Do Jang, because they are too painful on hardwood floors. I still need a pull up bar. My brain is a sieve. Each night, I study the study guides and the next night it is like I've never seen the material before. Where are all those brain cells that got me through school?? I need to calm down and not panic. If others have done this, I can do It too. Stop whining! Good grief, get a grip, girl! I've gotten 2 essays written and a plan for 3 more. My heroine is...
Well I'm back from my 'run'. The side walk was so covered in ice, it was nearly impossible to distinguish it from an ice skating ring. Most of the time I wasn't even running, I was just walking at a fast pace while trying to keep my balance. Although I slipped several times, I only managed to fall once. No damaged muscles or bones, so that's good. I guess I'll do some studying then do the other requirement testing. I really don't want to put an 8+ time on my pretest, so I'll run when it's run-able out.
It was a great day yesterday. I finished my assignments in the morning and then did my requirements by noon. Then went to play in the snow with my sisters and friends. We sled down the hill in our backyard and it was real fun. My friends and we spent probably an hour or so and drank hot chocolate. Then i went to help my dad shovel the drive way. It was really tough. In the afternoon i did my pre-test. My dad and mom recorded all my requirements. Last year when i did my pre-test i rushed through all my requirements. This time my focus was to get the technique right and do it in the right manner. Very excited for the Panthers game this evening!!!!!!!!
It is motivational to see all of the posts with the candidates pre-test results. Will do mine later this morning. Still don't think I can get my run in today. I will run, but not sure if I want to time my run on ice and snow. Then time to watch some FOOTBALL!
It was nice to get to sleep in this morning. I spent some time this afternoon working on a work issue that will need some more work on Monday, but I will need some help to solve this one. I did not venture outdoors today, but was hoping the snow / ice would go away so I can do my run tomorrow. It was kind of odd doing the physical part of the pretest alone. The cheering section is not very loud and there is no extra encouragement. I did better than I thought I would. Maybe some day pull-ups. I will work on being more diligent about logging in.
Reality doesn't always become me. In fact, I'm not a big fan of it. But sometimes reality can be pretty amusing. Like when you show your kids how to ride a sled down a steep snowy hill standing up. In my head, I see this awesome surfing maneuver cruising down that hill and bringing the sled to a stop by turning it sideways and spraying all this snow at the bottom. In reality, I go about ten feet, then I'm airborne, as I see earth, sky, earth, sky in repeating order. Only to find me sprawled spread eagle at the bottom of the hill with a roar of laughter proceeding my demise. Needless to say, my kids were smart enough to stay in the seated position on the sled for the rest of the morning, not following their fathers phenomenal example. Following my spectacular performance, I came home, cleaned up, did...
Snow day. There are good and bad about snow days. The good is that I get to catch up on requirements and just play with my friends and hang out with family. The bad is that I have shovel the drive- way. It was ice I couldn't finish it all till it melts a little. Anyway today I did my requirements and plan on doing all my physical tommrow except for the running. Other than that had a great day. Hope everyone had a great snow day!
It was friday morning and I looked outside and it was snow no school I thought to myself. The first thing I did was wake up my mom put on my clothes and opened the garage and I felt falling snow on my face I enjoyed the amazing snow. I have this big hill in the front of my house so I ran up it and when I got to the top I jumped,I started to get dizzy it was a terrible idea. So I did it again and I got dizzy but i didn't mind it.
It was fun to see the snow when we woke up yesterday. Played in the snow in the afternoon. I finished all my requirements by noon before i went out in the snow to play with my sister. Then it started snowing again in the evening. I am going to do my pre-test today except running. My dad and mom are going to time me on push-ups, sit- ups, vsitups, plank and pull ups!
Today was on the abnormal side. I went to work and saw a few people not have a good day likely because they weren't practicing patience. Very few people were in the office. I only stayed a few hours and then worked the rest from home. Time still gets away from me. I had a good conversation with Pam in that time too. I did some situps and kicks on that call. I look forward to training with her again. I finished reading my book tonight and should be able to take care of that essay this weekend. Looking forward to a good 8 hours of sleep in a row tonight.
Bogged down with lots of Girl Scout Cookie orders today. Got in some requirements early. Had to make a decision on classes tomorrow in Lake Norman and then alert everyone to the cancellations. Still working now on Girl Scout stuff. Will do physical test tomorrow with the family.
I guess we are now the new owners of a cat it seems. This cat came out of the woods yesterday, meowing like crazy at me, like I was the focal point of all it's problems. I went inside the house hoping it would go away, but instead came to the front door and kept meowing. Katherine and the boys heard it and instantly wanted to feed it. I refused. That lasted for all about three minutes as I was quickly out voted, and next thing we know, my wife's friend is bringing over cat food. So, knowing I was defeated, I built it a box and put some blankets inside so it would stay warm. We fed it some left over scrapes from our pot roast and then some cat food. It ate as if it hadn't eaten in weeks. Now, the thing has me waiting on it hand and...
On monday when we were out of school for martin luther king jr. I went to a museum based off of him. It first was talking about the war and then it was talking about what he did and when he was born/died. It was a cool museum it also had an old school car and they had a barber shop in there too. I think it was the best museum i have ever went to I had so much fun.
