Had a really early flight home this morning and then a full day at work. Trying to at least get my tracking caught up. I have less catching up to do as a result of this trip than most previous trips this year. It looks like I have been working on self-defense disproportionately to poomsaes, but at least now I can remember most of the newer I ones. I still have plenty more to work on. Tomorrow will come soon enough.
Tomorrow is the first cross country meet of the season for my school, and I’m fairly nervous about it as the season just started. We got our uniforms today which makes the meet and season feel a bit more real to me. Hopefully it goes well.
Today was a great last first day of high school I will ever have. Im going to be honest I really liked all my classes: not to mention this is by far this was the best first day of school I have had. When I got home I ate Alfredo that I cooked up and then headed to go work out. I had a pretty good workout it was fun and long, after that I headed to work. I was helping out in class I had a pretty fun time teaching students how to do hop step kicks. Well know I have to study a little bit then hit the hay. Duces.

Long and busy day. It was first day of after school at King Tiger. Classes were huge, I just played games and kicks with a little review. A lot of kids were new, or were gone over the summer. Also, it nice to have a fun game-like class every once in awhile.
Today was the first day of school with the scholars attending. It was a hectic morning, but we all made it through okay. I then was able to work in a workout, which I definately needed. Then I picked up my little man and had dinner with my family before heading back out for TKD class tonight.
Did not do any requirements today. But i cleaned and decluttered my room. I sold/donated most of my clothes today and I cleaned under my bed. I also meal prep today. My mom gone the whole week, usually I make breakfast and lunch, but she handles dinner since I always come home late. Made homemade pizza! Finish up some homework. I don't like how one of my assignments is coming out, so ill tackle it tomorrow with a more cleared head.
Today was overall pretty relaxed. After I got home from church I went on my run, did my other requirements, and then started going through old clothes to donate them. This took a couple hours but it’s something I’ve been meaning to do for quite a while now. Also, I was able to finish my oil painting.

Yesterday I went to sparring and BBC. During sparring, we did some sparring rounds and lots of kicks. During BBC we did kicks, nun-chucks, and stick techniques (which I'm not sure what the name is). During the hour between sparring and BBC, I went on a mile run with some other Bo Cho Dans and others. Thank you, Mrs. Badia, for motivating me to run!
I woke up at 6 am to start getting ready for the new school year. Then went to sparring and it was really fun. After sparring went a run in the rain and it was kind of chilly but it felt really nice. After that had black belt class and it was very fun and exhilarating.
Today was an emotional day. Saw a lot of family and friends that I don't see often, or haven't seen for years. It was also a little disappointing since some we were expecting, were unable to make it. I have had a few different people volunteering to help me with self defense, so have been able to practice that some with a person, rather than just in the air. Had the opportunity to get a rowing lesson from my rowing coach cousin on the Schuylkill River in front of Boathouse Row in Philadelphia. This cousin is like my sister, so it was great to spend some quality time with her and learn a bit about one of her passions for the first time.
today was interesting. I started by spending the morning at tae kwon do. After that I was brought to lunch by Mathew and his Father (it was delicious) the place we went to was called the tin tin something and is located across the street from Grand Master Evans. after lunch I was brought home and went to my friends house for the afternoon. I returned back to my house at around five and had dinner at around seven with my family.
What a big difference from yesterday weather, One day I'm sweating the next day I'm looking for a sweatshirt to put on. Felt good about doing my requirements today.

Today was a day of learning for me. My takeaways from today's classes were: to videotape myself to see my progress and areas of neednever question a senior belt...duhnever ask about credits during cycleeven when I think I'm extending my, I'm not enoughchill out (which I already new, but is a big work in progress) This black belt journey is tougher then I thought in certain ways. Prior to this experiences I knew that: I didn't like making mistakes; I'm too hard on myself; and I psych myself out and get 'into my head' too often and too fast. Even though I knew theses things about myself they are blaring loudly now and can't be avoided. I'm on this journey to face them head on and hopefully conquer them. I'm not even close to being there 'yet', but I have plans in place to help myself along the way. I need...
Today didn't exactly go as planned. I had to stay home from school today because I wasn't feeling well, which also meant that I had to miss cross country practice and multiple classes that you usually can't afford to miss because of the workload. Despite that, I got what work and requirements I could done, and got some painting done.
Last day of summer camp, kids were crazy, but I just rolled with it. We played tons of games, ate pizza and ice cream, and had our last award ceremony. Kids award me the "nicest counselor" award. I going to miss some of the summer campers only, but I'm excited to start the school year. I didn't get a a lot of requirements done this week, but that okay. This is was the first week of school and I have a pretty good idea of how to build my schedule. I love building and managing my time. Finishing my night call my dad, who off in another state, to talk about careers, school, and just tell him I miss him. I don't think he'll be back til October. He travels alot more now for his job, which is amazing and so cool, but I miss him. I remember when he came...
Today was an amazing day. It was the first full week of school. I felt a weight lift of of my shoulders literally and physically. I feel like I have learned most of the things that I had forgotten over the summer. But today will be very fun because I an going to a party at a friends place.
Lots of fitness and poomsaes today. Lots of TKD and tonight will be a family movie night.
DAY OF REST. Had a Very wet day at work today. Water was coming out of the hole body. From head to toe. Got home cooked dinner for Chris and I, then sat down and a Hour later Still have my dinner in my hand.????????????????????☺️
Had to travel to Ohio for work on Wednesday...quick day trip - about 30 hours total...managed to get some requirements in but not a full day's worth. Getting harder to travel for work and stay on top of requirements...starting to feel the stress.
It's Friday...heading into the weekend with goals of tons of requirements. Been traveling for work again this week and starting to feel very behind. Last night Black Belt Class was great, thank you Master Cavasos for double stick review...and thank you Master Connor for being my partner. Also, good kicking line...good job everyone.
Thursday sucked! I mean it was probably the worst day I've personally had in about seven months. basically how it went down was I woke up went to open house for the morning were my wonderful mother decided to pressure me into ALL the clubs. then in the afternoon Mom, Will and I went to Wills open house which went ok but Mom got into a drawn out conversation with another Mom and we ended up getting to tae kwon do five minuets late which wouldn't have been that bad if the pants I packed didn't happen to belong to my nine year old brother. I literally couldn't bring my knee up to my chest, that's how small the pants were so Will and I had to get picked up by mom before we could even take sparring class. But Thats not all because then we went to the grocery store...
As I suspect future days will be, today was quite the full day with school, then cross country practice, then leaving for class half an hour after getting home, and then homework once I got home from class, but today was good. I found it funny that in practice we did a 30min run at an easy pace in 95 degree heat and then as soon as practice is over it starts to rain and cool everything off.
Today was open house. I went to all my classes and met all my teachers, and I like them a lot. Since I’m a senior I have some le-way and also other perks but I’m ready for the school year. I saw a lot of my old teachers and it was nice seeing them.
I've been helping teach more classes. I've been working at King Tiger for so long now and I really want to help out more, plus I need to step out of my comfort zone every once and while. Me and and another instructor go back and forth teaching on class. It been nice, I was really worried, but I've been managing. Today I made the class work on basic blacks and stances, as well as teach them study guide questions. Then at the end of class, we played a study guide game. Worked with Master Natasya on kicks, hopefully when I;m less sore and tired I can work on them more. Then I took sparring, we did some awesome stretches, I felt great.
This may be Thursday for most but it's my Monday at work. Didn't get as many miles as I wanted to, But still got some in. When I got home today started on my requirements The body was a little slow on doing things but got through it.????♂️????️♂️
It's been hard lately. Trying to balance all my stuff with Taekwondo is difficult. I also figured out I was not doing enough for the cycle so now I have to do extra. But that part is my fault. I got a lot of work to do so I better get going.

I am super thankful today, because I have so many amazing people in my life. If I didn’t have my husband, Dave ,who is the greatest partner, and always there to help me I don’t know what I would do. I also have such amazing friends, Chelley and Jennifer, who help me and love my kiddos when I can’t physically be there for them. I decided to carve out some time for myself and I got a workout in before going to work. What a great decision that was! When in doubt lift heavy ????????????????
Today was my first day of school, and it went pretty well actually, though I’m still getting used to so many things being moved around. It was also the first official day of the cross country season; we have a small team, but I like how that brings us together as a team. Also, because I have the most experience, and the Athletic Director is trying to fill a coaching position while trying to find a cross country coach with more distance running experience, he asked me to help coach the team for lack of better words due to this being my 7th season.
Yesterday, I uploaded a YouTube video onto my account, Adventures of Yoshi, using plush Nintendo characters that I collect. Today was a very tiring day, as I spent all day playing golf in hot and humid weather. I was kind of glad when the clouds came to block out the sun. Today was the 3rd day of my white belt challenge, and class seemed shorter than usual today. I haven't been able to post anything because the internet was out at my house, so I was glad the internet was on when I uploaded my video yesterday. Right now I am using my dad's portable Wi-fi hotspot, so I don't have to worry about the internet going down.
Today has been an average day. However, I am very disappointed and disgusted by the people I am surrounded by at school. They say bad words and are incredibly disrespectful. Whenever a teacher leaves the room, the students talk negatively about said teacher. One day I hope to take this into my own hands. Alright, I’m done with the rant. I got a leadership 1 today. Red Stripe means tons of exercise. Great Job to everyone in the 6:45 PM class. One thing I’m happy about is my textbook. My history textbook is online, so I don’t have to bring a heavy textbook home. Also, there is a vocabulary and summary section. Last year, I disliked my social studies teacher because he made us take lots of notes and we never really learned anything. My history teacher this year is pretty nice. Anddd that’s all for today!

Yesterday was a crazy hectic day. Work, carpool, TKD, and sparring class. I was tired and today my body is sore. Today I’m in a work conference all day and taking the night off from heading to KT tonight to dial in and be a mom.
Life is funny. When I was younger, my mother would have to drag me out the house to go running, or promise we would eat after. I remember she was better at running and would have to push me to keep up with her. I would sometimes sprint farther ahead then walk the rest of the way or hid in the bushes and say I finish early. Now I actually go running. I was excited to do the King Tiger 5K a couple months ago. My mother and I went running earlier this year, but she been traveling so much that I haven't seen her much. Hopefully once things settle down we can go running/walking more. Life is funny. There are things that I do now, that my past self would have never thought I could or would do.
Today was a very casual day. Went to work then came and home and worked out then ate dinner. Nothing really special happened today but after eating dinner took a shower and now getting ready for bed.
Today was my last day of summer break, and overall it was pretty good. I got a decent amount of artwork and schoolwork done before going to summer camp and in between that and black belt class. Hopefully the school year goes well.
Great black belt class tonight! We did seven rounds of sparring in class and prior to class I was able to do tons of self-defense. A few Burpee’s at work, a few push-ups in the morning, slowly ticking off requirements.

Today was a pretty average day. I went to school as usual. Went to BBC. Did some sparring rounds and self-defenses. At my school I've been noticing students saying profanity. Honestly, some kids today are so disrespectful. They need to focus on class, not their gossip.
When downtown for my first ASL class. The instructor is deaf. So today we had an interpreter, but after today, she won’t be there. There will be little to no English speaking in the class, only signing and gestures. The instructor said “I live everyday in the hearing world and manage, so you guys can handle 1hr” So this is going to be an interesting class!
Today I got some work done on my very first oil painting, which I’m having a lot of fun with. In the evening, I had orientation for school, which overall went pretty well, though I just found out my schedule has me going from one side of the campus to the other after pretty much every class, but I’ll get used to it after a week or two. Also, I got to see the art room (the setup for art classes has moved around a lot in the past couple years, but now it’s back in the room it used to be), and I couldn’t imagine the setup being better; there are only 2 of us in the school (it’s a very small school), and the art teacher set it up so that we still have access to the rest of the room while still being in our little painting areas/corners...

He's back and I'm heading out to visit other family. It would be nice if he could come too. I may get a chance for my first rowing lesson with my rowing coach cousin. This week is the last week of summer camp. I just went back to school on the 15th. Life is hard trying to balance school, homework, Taekwondo, and the cycle. I am running behind on some of my stuff for the cycle. it's going to start getting a lot harder when I start getting loads of homework. I am having my first test in school on Friday and my favorite teacher is my advance math teacher. Have a good week everyone!
Today was a loud day just with three people in summer camp and we are starting class right now. The cycle is going well its a lot of work but I am getting a lot done, I think it is even louder than having a bunch of kids,the thing I'am still having a little bit of trouble with is running. Today was the last day my aunt is in town; she flies back to Louisiana early tomorrow morning, but I had a good time hanging out with her and the rest of my family. Also, as a really early birthday gift, my parents allowed me to get some oil paint, and I’ve already started a painting with it; so far I’m really enjoying it and I’m very grateful my parents allowed me to try this new medium of art.

today I just got Minecraft which I wanted for a very long time and I also got to play with my friends on Minecraft which are across the us. I also found out how to download a special mod for Minecraft which I also wanted for a very long time. also I practiced a lot of requirements and I did my poomsaes like master loyd asked
So the good news is I finished and did not get hurt. I also did really well on the physical portion and I think my kicks are pretty good. My self-defense is okay, but I totally bombed the pomsae section and got in my head. I also didn’t do well on the written test which is another known weakness for me. Overall what surfaced during testing were my weaknesses. I disappointed myself and felt like I embarrassed my Do jang and Sae Bum Nim. I need to work on poomsaes, Korean, and self-defense. This black belt journey for me is more about personal growth and less about TKD. Besides my ego being bruised, I’m taking this as a learning experience and the reason why I’m on my cycle. Here I grow again.
The pretest always humbles me. We've been doing the new self defenses long enough now that I should remember them and not be confused. I got a score of 3 on high yellow belt self defense. That's a failing grade. I'm glad I have this audit cycle AND my next cycle to practice. I need as much time and practice as I can get.
Today was the pretest, and overall I think it went pretty well, though I felt the best about the run than the rest of the physical test. This afternoon though, I was sitting on the floor painting when my dog, who weighs between 45 and 50 pounds, sprints by, tries to jump over me/my work, and runs straight into my head, so now I have a nice little knot/bruise right above my left temple. I used a bag of frozen corn to minimize swelling.
Welp today was an amazing day once I got back to work I fell asleep I just woke up like 20 minutes ago ! I’m about to be up all night I might just work out no cap. I had a great day at work too so far it’s all good!
I had a very good day today. Today was the pre test which kicked my butt, but I think I did pretty good being a first timer. Then after that took black belt class and that was exhilarating and fun and definitely SWEATY. After that I had a great mentor session with instructor Catherine. Then came home and went to a friends house and that was a adventure and a half. Last part of the day, I came back home from my friends then worked out for 2 hours for with a good friend of mine and now I’m sore so tomorrow is my chill day.
I am super happy with the pretest today. I remember during my first testing as a bo cho, I could only do 12 pushups at the pretest and 25 at the physical test. And when I did the mile, I ran it in 12 mins. But now I did 31 pushups this time and ran a mile and a half in 13 mins. I never though I would get this far physically. I'm so pumped!!
Another hot day at work but had it lot easier today. Was able to get my requirements in And added a few more set ups and some pushups.
August 17, 2019, the day of the pre-test for the fall cycle. I have been doing most of my self-defenses two or three times each day for at least the past two weeks and I feel more confident about the newer ones, except of course when I get completely mixed up, or when my focus is less than it should be. Now I need to work on them more intentionally. Time to work on catching up on some things I've been slacking on.
Wow! Here it is, already two weeks into the cycle. I need to find a mentee still. Work was a long day today. After work my friend was very encouraging when we were doing some miles. And yes, it was hot. Finished with that and then went back for some more work. My lower back is bothering me some today. I need to take self standing moray work. Just not enough hours in the day. I have some catching up to do this weekend.
So tomorrow is the pretext for the cycle and my wrist is hurting again (the same wrist that I problems with before, that I had to get physical therapy for). It’s kind of worrying me because I might have to wear my brace in the morning and I won’t be able to do my push ups, burpees, and half pull ups. The more I push through it, it hurts more so I don’t want to do anything to it tonight but I’m going to keep putting ice on it and hopefully will see what it feels like in the morning.
Today I had to do my requirements in the afternoon as my morning was completely booked. I had a doctors appointment at 8:00am to get my physical and to get my shoulders looked at; the doctor still doesn’t want me doing pushups for while, and Im starting to feel bad about it while also understanding that it’s to prevent further injury so I’ll make do. After that I had to go to the post office with my dad to apply for a passport and then ran some various other errands.
Had all intentions of coming home today AND doing my requirements. But ended up staying at work for an extra 3 hours to finish a job. By the time I got home the body said NO , NO , NO. The heat and the job got to ti. Big REST DAY.????
This has been a very long week. My patients have been really sick- lots of abnormal heart rhythms and issues with their implanted devices. My father is supposed to go home from the hospital Tuesday. He will have been in the hospital for exactly 2 months. He’s definitely a tough old ex-Marine. Just finished some requirements and now heading to bed. Big day tomorrow - pretest!!
I've been working with Master Natasya on color belt poomsaes fo the last couple of days. She has helped me alot with technique and how kukkiwon does poomsaes vs how we do poomsaes. It has been really good mentor session, but so many little changes. I worry about more changing my forms later. I cannot change too much right before the Pre-test. Super pump for tomorrow!!! Let's go you guys!!
I’ve been going to school for the past couple days. The campus is not the best, but I’ve learned to cope with that. Also the pre-test is tomorrow. I’m kind of stressed but excited. I really hope I do good. I wrote down some important information from the study guides. We’ll see how it goes.

Today was overall pretty quiet. I worked on my summer reading and some artwork after requirements, and then went to King Tiger for summer camp and helping with testing, which went pretty well. I also spent a bit of time with my aunt, which was nice.
Had a productive day at work today, but still so much to do. Got home a little earlier than usual, so got something to eat and worked on pushups and kicks until it was time to pick up Master Randle so we could meet up with Master Tucker and be supportive to our friend. There really are no words. When I got home, after making arrangements to meet up with a friend after work tomorrow for some miles, I worked on some poomsaes and self defense. Thankfully they weren't muddled as they were the other day. I really need to study study guides.
Today was another day of testing. All of the students did amazing and the parents thought that as well. So proud of all the new Bo cho dans, they worked hard to get it.
One of my co-workers left for college. Really sad, and I'm going to miss him, but I'm happy for him. I started classes today and I am super excited to start the school year.
Today was a long day full of things to do. I had cross country practice in the morning, which took care of all my running today, I played golf at 10:30, I had to go to my school's orientation soon after, and then I went to sparring class in Tae Kwon Do. Afterwards, I was kind of tired (mostly from the orientation because we were out in the sun's heat most of the time with no hat or sunglasses :( and it was boring as well), and I played a couple rounds of Fortnite to relax.
Work was another hot and muggy day. Glad the South has air conditioning. Tonight I want to support a friend in her family, My heart weighs heavy for them.????
Today is the first day of school for my kiddos. Both kids will be in middle school together. This is the first time they have been at the same school in a couple of years. I'm hoping my little guy has a good day since I know it's going to be a tough transition into middle school. I'm nervously sitting here waiting for them to get home. I can't wait to hear about both of their first days. I had a tough workout at boot camp today and I have sparring tonight. Two beatings in one day (ha ha). Tomorrow is my first day of school (work).
I woke up at 5 am this morning to do requirements and focused on pushups, burpee’s and sit-ups. The burpees take me a while and are a big challenge for me. I’m also working on making the Tae Kwon forms stick in my memory. For some reason those forms are my nemesis. Just need to do them over and over and over again.
Today was testing day at the dojo. The junior tigers did so well today and it was fun seeing the stuff they learned and then perform for everyone. I am so proud of my summer camp friend/ buddy because she has gone from a junior tiger to a full yellow belt and it was so exciting seeing her excel.
Today was overall pretty good. My aunt came in this morning from Louisiana and she’ll be visiting for a while. I do feel quite bad that I forgot to journal yesterday, but today I did finish another essay.

Today at Tae Kwon Do, my mentor and I worked on some color belt poomsaes, and I plan to review some study guide material for the pre test on Saturday. I have no idea what it is like, and I originally imagined the pre test to be like a color belt testing, but since it is my first time on cycle I can only guess what it will be like.
Today was orientation for my son going into middle school. The kids and I then finished last minute errands to get them ready for school tomorrow such as sneaker shopping and other last minute things. The kids are ready to start tomorrow. I made it to help with a TKD class and was able to get in a class in myself. Unfortunately, I did not have a mentee or mentor session. Hopefully tomorrow.
So far it has been a very quit day at least how long I have been here. I have been at home most of the day but we are just playing pokemon. We are having snack right now, you get more and more used to the cycle every day. Sometimes I wish I could play a lot of games, but I still have to do requirements. Today I got to celebrate my birthday with my family. I worked out with my husband, went to the movies to see The Lion King with my kids, then watched and snuggled TV with everyone. It was a fun, chill day!
Today was my first day of school. I was on a new campus. I'm in a class with all my friends. Everything is pretty chaotic because it's a new year. I will do requirements after school.
It has been a super long week full of craziness the cycle is tough and its supposed to be tough. The easiest thing for me is the pomsaes and self defense and the hardest is the run. The hardest thing about the run is finding time to do the run and sometimes knowing you have to run everyday even though you are tired. Easiest thing about pomsaes and self defenses is you just have to remember it and do it strong.
I got my Tonsils out and now I am working on my written exam and essays. I hope everybody has a good Tuesday!!!
Today was a chill day so I got a lot of requirements in. It rained a lot today so we did not do much but I did go to the pool for like 30 minutes but then it started to thunderstorm. After, that we went to a fancy restaurant and the food their was really good.
Today, I started mixing up poomsae, so figured that was enough for now. Today was a doozy of a Monday. Work was hectic. I did manage to get in 40 pushups throughout the workday though. Tomorrow is fast approaching. Studying the color belt study guides would be appropriate this week.
Today went pretty smoothly; I woke up early enough to be able to make progress on both my artworks (I’d work on one while the other was drying) and do my requirements before summer camp. I ended up finishing my still life once I got home as I had to wait for previous layers to dry and then varnished it.
Hot day at work , took a little Bit out of me. Water, water Stay hydrated. In all and all it was a good day.
Today I did The cycle in the morning and then me and my sister hung out in then basement. After that I went to my friends house well my sister went school shopping. After that I went to my friends house, had tae kwon do, and had dinner. Now I am at home typing this.
I don't do well with testing so I'm super stressed about pretesting on Saturday. I had an okay class tonight, but I really need to step up my self defense game. Tomorrow's my birthday.
This has been the first day in days that i finally had WiFi. I already did what I had to do here in Peru now I’m just waiting on some things to finalize.
Long day at work. The patient workload is essentially tripled on Mondays because of the weekend and I’ve been very whiney all day. I need some motivation and energy! I know I will feel better once I get started on requirements, just need to get started.
