Productive Plannings

When I got up, I read my book as soon after that way I could do the other stuff and not read after doing pushups and situps. At black belt weekday class, we went through taebeuk, relearned the steps of geumgang and then did a very short hapkido 1-5 lesson before it ended. At home I continued the hapkido practice on my own time, I had dinner afterwards. Atleast it wasnt storming like yesterday.

8/9/24

Today I woke up pretty late since I had nothing this morning and decided to sleep in. I started my day with a run, which sucked. I felt very tired today, it was burning hot, and it felt like my body and mind were disconnected; it was like my body was doing it's own thing. I then came home and did about 3 hours worth of requirements, trying to get ahead for when school starts. I then went to Black Belt Class and did a mentor session afterwards. I left a little more confused than I entered, but I now have several small things to work on. I then came home and now I am here.

Today, I woke up as usual and did some requirements and then went to class. I walked the dog 2.5 miles tonight. My doggie was not good on his walk. He kept pulling me and he walked close to a rabbit.  I was shocked he did not try to go after it.  Then I went and got chicken tenders for dinner.  That was my day.

 Today I woke up and did my requirements for taekwondo. Then I went to the pool. Once I got home I cleaned up and did my chores. Then I watched the Olympics with my mom and my sister. Then I went to teakwondo and did bbc class and rolls and falls class now I Am done for the day.

Prep day

Today I woke up a little later than usual, because I had a sleep over with some friends. So I did my run a little later, then we went to down town Kannapolis to get something to eat at the bank with all the new food stores. We had the Asian food place which was really good and super tasty. After that we went to work and picked up one of my friends Avery on the way to Tae Kwon Do. We had black belt class and advanced sparring which were great classes, and got to see a bunch of friends there and got to talk a little. I ordered all of my school stuff today as well to get ready for school next week.

Journal

Today was my first day of school. We have a project due on Monday. It’s not a long project though then we went to night kids. I did a challenge with my friends who can hold A Low plank And I won then we went to taekwondo and did rolls and falls I did Some requirements there I held my plank for two minutes. That’s the longest I’ve ever ever done before. It was so fun. They came home. Ate dinner and that’s all for today. See you guys tomorrow.

 Today It was my first day of school it was a fun day too my fourth grade teacher Miss Francione is really nice. Push-ups are kinda get an easier for me planks and sit ups are also getting easier I had Chick-fil-A for dinner then did pull ups and played with Elise see you tomorrow.

Today I went to school then I got home I only stayed for a couple of minutes before I had to leave for black belt class after that I went home and then I ran on the treadmill after that I also did the rest of my requirements.

Hi King Tiger Family. I hope everyone is doing well. I had a pretty good day. Work went well. Got LKN to do some rolls and falls, and then BB class. It was good to work on Poomsaes and some self-defense. Then we did a mentor session and worked on some 3rd dan items. Then we came home to eat. All in was a good TKD day. Looking forward to the PMAA class tomorrow. Nate and I both signed up. See you then. Take care.

Friday 8/9/2024

Hey guys, Today was a long but productive day. I went to school and got all my homework done. I’ve also ordered all my school supplies that I need. In terms of Tae Kwon Do I had a mildly productive day earning the following, leadership credit, black belt weekday class credit, and a mentee session, as well as attending rolls and falls class for 10 minutes. Need to work on catching up on requirements and mentee sessions. For the rest of the evening, I plan to eat dinner, do the dishes, and a watch a movie with my dad. Have a goodnight everybody.

Today I got back from my dad’s so it was a bit of a re warmup. I went to rolls and falls class which was a little tough because my hips and shoulders hit after but the pain quickly dissipated. I then went to bb class which was cool because I relearned Kicking Defense and learned the “Devastator Kick”. overall a good day

Realistic expectations

Not much happen today, but mostly cause I woke up at 1pm. My boyfriend and I took are cars to get repair/toned up for inspection. We help my cousin take her puppy to the vet. She’s a single mom (dog mom) who works to jobs (job and school internship-unpaid!). I did my requirements. Worked on my pancake/straddle and hip flexor strength.  my cousin’s dog is a pit puppy, she has tons of energy, and a lot of separation anxiety. I definitely see the progress with her behavior, but she still very jumpy and then your face. The sense of annoy people like my aunt, or even my boyfriend, but I think they have to remember that she is young and even if my cousin was the perfect trainer things like this takes time.

LMP August 9

Today was my last day at camp, as I start my school trainings and work shops Monday. I was actually able to go to the gym today and do a decent workout including my requirements!!!   Off to practice poomsaes, self defense,  stances, and kicks.

8/8 Journal Curtis

Last day in Ohio, got up early again and was able to get a mile in and my exercises done. Spent all day on my feet and headed to the airport around 4. My flight wasn't delayed which i thought it would be with all the weather, so i made it on and thought i might actually be able to get to the Thursday night sparring. Unfortunately, we then had some electrical issue and sat for an hour while they fixed that. I ended up getting home around 9pm. I was able to work through my Poomsae's and finish my daily requirements before bed. It's always nice to sleep in my own bed.

Friday morning

I meant to journal yesterday, but somehow got sidetracked. Yesterday started with a 3:15am Amazon shift in the pouring down hurricane rain. I delivered 36 packages in Matthews to houses with nonexistant or severely inadequate front porches. I had a moment of gratitude for my porch which can keep many packages dry during storms. Got home, did my requirements, got another Whole Foods shift that I was able to fit in before my real job began, also in the pouring down rain. Very treacherous driving conditions yesterday. I witnessed flash flooding, power outages, several downed trees. I had to drive under one which was balanced on the wires above. Made me a little nervous. Anyway, went to the gym at lunch and had a training session. By the time I was finished work, my brain was fried, and my energy was depleted, so I went to bed at an unreasonably early...

Day #27 - 8/08/2024

Today was for speed workout. Felt a little better and ran 2 quick miles. After that it was game on! Kick combos and self defense, alternate with burpees, seat ups, and jump rope. A little bird (big) said to cut the sugar and thats working overtime.

Up, Down, All Around

Tonight was color belt testing.  I didn't get to get any mileage in because of Debbie so I was glad that things lightened up in time to go to the dojang.  Unfortunately, in my rush to get out the door, I left my book at home and had to turn around to get it.  Testing went a bit faster than normal - I guess we just had fewer kids testing. We had one new BoCho Dan tonight - and this one was just barely out of solid white belt when we were on our first Cycle back in 2021.  It's weird seeing kids who were just starting out get to the end of color belt curriculum.  There are fewer and fewer people that probably remember us from before we tested for our First Dan.  Most people only know us as Black Belts and Instructors.

bonus requirements

Master Foster had originally cancelled the kids' classes today due to the Cabarrus schools open house but that was in tern cancelled due to the flooding. But the roads were ok so Master Foster invited anyone to come for open floor and I took my son and i went too and was able to get a mentee and mentor session in plus work on the first two stick forms.

  I woke up and it was pouring down rain then there was a Hurricane it stopped raining for 15 mins so I went to camp but a tree fell in the road so police came and moved it we got there late then I came home played Nintendo games with my dad then we ate dinner then I went to sparring class then watched some YouTube video's then I played some guitar for a while then I texted one of my friends then I had a shower then me and my family watched some Olympics. Good night everyone.

Today I woke up and ran my mile with my dad. Then I practiced some of my taekwondo, then I went to taekwondo, and I got my mentor and mentee session. Last I went to a baseball place where you work on hitting, fielding, and pitching. Last today was a great day and I am pushing through the cycle. Last me and my dad helped two baby cats in our bushes, and we took it to a shelter to have a safe home.

Sparring and clean up

Today I worked on cleaning up my email and organizing things. I Was going to go to the dog park today and work on staff, but that was before the rain. I worked my reqs at the gym before the heading to TKD. Sparring was fine, I guess I should work on be more offensive, I think everyone is more defensive. I made protein brownies, to help with my sweet tooth. I’ve removed excess sweets from my diet for the nutrition challenges, but realistically I don’t want to not have sweets for the rest of my life. I want to be able to have good self control. So I also bought ice cream sandwiches cause there portion out. There’s 12 so I told my self I can only have one every two days.

08/08

School got cancelled so I slept in today, but when I woke up I completely all the online classwork. I ate lunch and started some physical requirements. When I was headed to the orthodontist, luckily the rain let off so I didn’t end up looking like a drowned rat. After that I headed to the dojang for a mentor session. We worked lots of self defense and it was great working with other candidates too.

Today I woke up and had my yearly physical. It took longer than I have ever seen, but I got all the paper work done for this year's sports. I then came home and got ready for work. I then headed to work; luckily, as I pulled in the rain started to die down. Work was pretty good and after work I went to sparring,  which was equally as good. I then came home and did a Peleton ride because it is so wet out. Now I am here.

18th Journal Entry

Today i woke up and ate. then i played games. i did some burpees and went to the gym. my favorite part of today is when we had freddy's for dinner. I learned how to do crossover jumproping :D. This cycle has a lot of integrity to it because you have to be honest about your requirements. Okay i'm done now.

4 days til school

I'm dreading starting school because I am not ready for summer to be over. I don't think any of us are to be honest. Also my schedule makes absolutely no sense. But school aside, today was pretty good. I woke up and watched some tv and played with my cat. Then I did my requirements and went to the gym and ran 2 miles which I got done super quick. Fastest 2 miles I've done so far. then did my pull ups and went home and tried to make eggs, which failed and tasted funny. Then worked on my essay a lil bit and am about to go to bed. goodnight

Today I woke up rather late.i was tired today.  I then went to king tiger for class and sparring. I tried out my new mouth guard. I was really tired after. I had Panda Express for dinner.  I made cookies afterwards.  I ate some and saved some.  That has been my day.

Bar of soap?

I'm pretty sure anyone who would like a shower earlier today could have gone outside with a bar of soap earlier and had no problem finding off the suds.  Because of the rain (and some appointment cancellations) I was able to get some milage for the week done.  I still need a bit more milage by tomorrow for weekly requirements.  I need to start my creative form but haven't yet because I can't figure out what weapon I want to use.  Staff is the easy answer for me, but I need to figure out if I'd rather do something else.  Kamas, sword, stick,sais....guess I'll figure it out.  I really want a form where I can incorporate them all.

Storm

Today was the huge storm and school almost got cancelled. Lot going on at home so couldn’t go to sparring need to get back into the groove of doing things and get a huge catch-up on requirements.

Ben Karki Day 27

Today, there was a storm with hard rain for almost the entire day. There were no classes for me today. I finished my requirements after lunch. After that, I ran outside for 2.2 miles after the storm. Then, I ate dinner and went to bed. I will see you on Friday.

So this morning I woke up to a big storm and we did not end up doing a run today because it was storming but we actually we did a little Wii and then we did some requirements we worked on koryo quite a bit but we did not end up going to sparring class because it's storming and it's actually still storming right now but that's about it

Rainy day

Today I woke up to the power out and pouring rain, but one it slowed down a bit I went for my run which was fun but after it kept raining. Then me and my dad went to the bank to get some things done then went to get some coffee, which was amazing, then I went to my friends house and we got some food and watched some tv. We got another one of my friends and headed to my house to play and swim even though it was raining a lot. We made the most out of what we had.

the storm

Today when I woke up it was storming really hard. My backyard was flooded. When the rain slowed down, we saw a turtle in our backyard. I think it was an alligator snapping turtle. Then I did a lot of requirements and went to sparring class.

Today I woke up and did my Requirements for teakwondo. Then I watch the Olympics with my mom. Then I went on a run in the rain with my dog we had fun. Then I watch more of the Olympics. Then I played with my sister. Then I went to 2 classes now I am done for the day.

Hi King Tiger Family. I hope everyone is doing well. I was able to get to TKD today and help with a class and also take Sparring. My work schedule was a little if-y today, so not sure I was going to be able to step away. It worked out. I might have to start tomorrow morning a little earlier to make it up. My requirements are pretty good today... still need some physical items, so will try to do that shortly. Great classes today. I really like instructing classes. Teaching is the best way to validate your knowledge and keep it fresh in your head. I worked with some red belts today so it was great. Excited to see what tomorrow brings. Have a great night. Kick Fest

At color belt class, I gained leadership credit, I helped someone with their red belt and high blue self-defense then taught them their belt study guide. When sparring class came we kicked the big black water paddles 10 times each leg then went backwards starting with the highest belt to lowest. That was enough to make me huff and puff, then I went 4 rounds of sparring and felt out of it. One of the people I was sparring kicked me 4 times a second. Resting for tomorrow at this moment.

Journal 27: rainy day

Today was a rainy day. First we woke up to some rain then ate breakfast. Then did some requirements then watched a movie with some popcorn. Then went to taekwondo for a mentor session. Then did my run and came home for dinner. I only did 1 mile tonight to see how my ankle held up. It started to hurt on my second lap. Will ice and rest it some more.

LMP August 8

Master Evins said there would be a time(s) when you are going to want to quit,  to give up on the journey to achieving your next belt. I'm there.  I practice nightly, but draw a blank on the mat.  I have mentor sessions with other candidates, and they know so much more than I do.  I get easily frustrated and try to hide my teary eyes,  laugh off my mistakes, but I'm so far behind. I don't even have a curriculum to follow.  If my belt wasn't different from everyone else's, this would be my last entry.....

Day #26 - 8/07/2024

A lot happened today, but I was not able to get all my requirements done. I was unable to get any time off official duties and was really cranky by close of business. I also began to feel some sharp pain in my back so wasn’t too enthusiastic about training. Afterwards I went to catch a glimpse of the Jr tigers test. Decided to rest up today and catch up later.

Gardening & North Charlotte Medley

Yesterday, I got up early to get some things done in the front yard because it is that time of the year. Mom and I did some weeding, deadheading and planted some new flowers in the bare areas since the early summer flowers were at the end of their season. I almost pushed that chore to today and I am SO glad I did not with all the rain we are getting. I will not complain about the rain because my flowers need it and I remember when we were having those droughts the last two years in the summer. Later on, I was able to get my requirements done before heading to TKD. I assisted with the Senior Tigers, but I forgot there would not be a BB class. However, those of us that were there adapted. There were a combination of things happening on the mat....Staff form, Poomsaes, Hapkido...

Counter

Hello everyone, no school today but we still had to do exercises and that. What me and my brother did, we walked around tour counter 406 times because it is raining. That was a cool time, we did fun stuff and what sort, and I was dizzy after. bye.

Weird day

So today We decided that since the Rec-center is closed, we might as well get our running done. Instead of running we walked around our counter 406 times. It took over an hour to complete, but we did it! Also, me and my dad finished the first season of Stranger Things last night, I liked it a lot. I'm going to play videogames and I hope the internet isn't down, bye!

8/8 When it rains, it pours

Good morning, open house went well. I saw some king tiger people there. I got maybe good teachers(haven't heard anything bad about them or good things about them either). I got the homies in all my classes. I'v been listening to Luke Combs: when it rains, it pours and hurricane. Hope the power doesn't go out or flood. Btw, who names the hurricanes? Journal - Day 25

Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was a nice day. After finishing my requirements, my mom, my brother and I went to open house. It was nice going with my brother since I basically got a whole tour of the school without panicking about where everything was. I met mostly all of my teachers, and they all seemed super nice. I am looking forward to my first year in high school because I feel like it's a new start. Today, I woke up to the rain clashing and honestly felt the walls shaking a bit, which makes me a little nervous. Hopefully, the rain stops and the power doesn't go out because I am really hoping to go to sparring today. I have a lot to do today and will finish my requirements sometime soon. Have a wonderful day!

Impromptu training

Tonight's black belt class was brought to you by....nobody.  class was cancelled due to junior tigers testing.  Anyone who showed up either did mentoring sessions and/or broke off into groups to work on individual preferences.  I got to work on various combinations of things with Mark, Kim, Courtney, Kushi, Harsh, and Hansika .  We went over staff forms, Hapkido forms, and self defenses.  At the end there was a fair amount of tumbling and laughing, so it seems a good time was had by all.  Mark and I  are still working on getting more solid with the self defenses, and I need to ask Master Cavazos about the flip over the shoulder at the end of six.  I know I'll have it down. For testing but I need to find out how they actually want this done.  Roll over the shoulder? Flying leap? Launch out of a cannon? Stay tuned....

Sprint, Sprint, Marathon

Today was another busy day with work so I didn't get much of my requirements done during work hours.  I'm grateful that I have a job where I can step away for a few minutes here and there but it doesn't always happen.  Plus I had to drive up into Concord proper to get a new splint made for my finger.  This one is a bit more open and it's molded to me so it should fit a bit better.  At least I was able to get a couple of miles in during lunchtime - even if the skies did open up on me in the last five minutes. After work was over I packed up and headed down to the dojang to help with class.  I don't know if they appreciate it but I do try to reassure the color belts that while their forms and self-defenses aren't impossible, many...

8/7 Journal Curtis

Today was day 2 in Ohio, got up early but had a little less time this morning so I didn’t quite finish my requirements. Spent all day on my feet so finishing up poomsae and burpees tonight was not fun. I’m tired and ready for one more day, hopefully I can get home tomorrow, but the storms look like it may be a long day of travel tomorrow night.

Today was a good day! I started my day working on my 5th grade practice work and then worked on my Taekwondo exercises. I went to a Taekwondo class to help out Jr Tigers. I went running with my Dad later this evening. I will keep working on my self defense, pomesaes, and kicks. I learned a lot in my mentor session today. I will keep working hard on my goal.

Day 26

I got started on my stretching in the morning, I did that before I started my routine for the day. Practiced the 2nd Dan specials, and I realized I might need a mentor session on that one next time I come to class. Cooled down with a shower and some reading.

First day of school today, it was a bit overwhelming. I was very tired by the time I got home, but still had requirements to worry about. After some of those, I took a short nap and headed to the dojang for a mentor session. I found out that school got canceled tomorrow, so all work will be asynchronous, which is good because I get to sleep!

Challenge

My dog and I went for a two mile walk to the pet store. I bought him new dental treats, but I don’t think he likes them. I cleaned up my patio and did my requirements there. I got to watch all the weather changes. I did a push up variation where I’m in downward dog, it’s difficult, but I like it. I went to Master Evins school for black belt class, but there wasn’t any class due to testing. But I was able to practice things I specifically wanted to work on with motivative people. Then I worked on the gymnastics skills and stretching. I found a stretching video that was so intense I had to take breaks, tough! But that’s good. What challenges you, changes you.

Ben Karki Day 25-26

On Tuesday, I woke up and completed my requirements after lunch. I then assisted a senior tiger class. After assisting the class, I ate dinner and ran for 2 miles. On Wednesday, I woke up early at 7:00 to begin getting used to waking up early. I also got all of my requirements done in the morning. Then, I ate lunch and went to my open house. I am not exited for 7th grade. Afterwards, I attended my black belt class. Finally, I ate dinner and finished my role model essay. Have a good night.

Open house

So today I finished my requirements at around 2 and then my mom got home so we went to open house. It was good but very crowded. I met all my teachers which was social studies/ homeroom: Mrs. Watts, Science: Mr. Caskey, ELA: (I forgot her name), and math: (I also forgot his name), PE, and band. Then I went to taekwondo and then ran. I just ate dinner and am about to play a game then go to bed. Goodnight.

Today was a much better day than yesterday. I have practice this morning, which put me in a great mental place to start off the day. I then did some requirements before going to work. Work was pretty good, a little hectic, and I had issues while trying to get food for dinner. I then drove up to Denver, thinking there was bible study tonight, however there was not. It was a little time wasted, but I got to chat with my dad a little on the ride. Afterwards, I came home, did some requirements, ate, and now I am here.

Journal 26: feeling the pain

Today was another busy day. First I woke up got my breakfast went to the eye doctor then went shopping. I found few outfits and shoes. I spaced my requirements out throughout the day. Then went to the open house, then went to taekwondo and after that I did my run. The past few runs I have noticed some pain in my ankle. Tonight it was more intense and I had a painful stomach cramp. I can tell I was not 100% because my time reflects it. I will ice my ankle and have my mom ace wrap it to see if that helps. Tomorrow I will try and work on my history essay since it’s suppose be a rainy day.

17th Journal Entry

Today was a ordinary day. I woke up and watched tv. then i played video games and ate. i did burpees and went to the gym. My favorite part of the day was when we jump roped at the gym but i didn't like the push ups so much. but i had to do them either way so i got those done. This cycle is teaching me responsibility because i have to remember to do my requirements and finish and track my stuff. Okay i'm done now.

Bats

When I woke up my sitter came and I did my requirements at Champions.  I had mac n cheese for lunch and we went to sweet frog.  I went to Taekwondo and helped with the 5:15 and took the 6:00 class.  When we got home I watched Olympics.  Tonight I went outside to play lacrosse.  After that me and my family sat on our deck and we saw about twenty bats flying through the trees and over our house.  Have a good day tomorrow.

Journal 18 - wonderful Wednesday

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday and is excited for a thoughtful Thursday!!! I took my puppy to the vet and he got shots!!!😕 We can’t pick him up at all and he’s limping whenever he walks! Today I went to the 4:45 to help out and then took the 5:15. My school has been cancelled for tomorrow and it was suppose to be the first day! Hope everyone had a wonderful Wednesday! Good night!!!

First day of school:(

LMP August 7

How bad is it that I do not remember if I have done a journal today or not?!  Well, here's part two if I did one already. I got up and did some requirements then went to camp. We have testing tonight, tomorrow at camp, and tomorrow evening,  so I pulled and labeled belts.  I came home from camp, did more requirements abd went back to the dojang for a mentor session. I would think that getting requirements done would be easy and not as painful,  however,  some seem to be getting more challenging.  Maybe because I'm thinking about them more ir working on my form as I do them.  Here's to the rain 🌧 💙

School :( / :)

Today was my first school day, although it was just a half day it was still hard to go back after being gone for so long. It was good though, I didn't think my teachers were going to be that chill but they are very relaxed and my study hall supervisor has two rules: no eating, and don't disrupt others but we can do anything else, like play games, watch Netflix, anything like that. When I got home I did all my requirements and I walked 2 miles. Tomorrow is the first full day of school, I had to read The Book Thief so I might have to right an essay on that soon too, anyway see you guys later!

Brain Farts Happen

Yesterday, I met with my mentor and we went over bolo form and 1st Dan self-defense. Afterwards, I assisted class with the Junior Tigers and the Senior Tigers, led warmups and then took class. There was some anxiety leading up to the PMA testing, but I feel like that for most tests. I did not feel ready and there was so much to learn in a short period of time. There are so many expectations from myself and others that I become quite overwhelmed. When that happens, I sometimes mentally shut down and it is like watching my body from the outside....not really feeling connected to that moment. Of course, it is temporary, I accept it and I just move on. I always try to take things as a learning lesson and then decide what to do from there. Now, off to the dojang, I go!

Journal - Day 24

Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was a nice yet long day. I went to Tae Kwon Do, helped out with a little bit of summer camp, and then classes. Today, I woke up really late because I am trying to make the most of the summer I have, but I know I should be waking up early due to the fact my bus gets here at 6–6:15. I started writing about my personal growth and development essay in TKD and honestly realized the difference from how I used to train and teach to now. To me, Tae Kwon Do is about learning the curriculum but also having fun while learning it, especially for the younger kids. I always like to have fun, but it's important that you stay on task. Besides that, I am going to my open house later today and am about to do my requirements. Have a wonderful day!

As the cycle starts to become routine I keep thinking I have everything down and all i need is requirements and signatures. WRONG todays PMA test was a shocker, I knew I didnt know everything but I assumed I could atleast be comfortable and possibly pass the test. But master Evans sat us down and told / showed us some practical applications of PMA with and without the stick that I never even thought of. I need to start practicing PMA.

Covered in sweat is the norm

I knew this would be the case going into the cycle, however, I don't think my last cycles were this hot and humid outdoors.  I wanted to get some grass cut before the rains come, but that didn't happen.  I did get to go to guitar today, which is good because I haven't been able to go due to various circumstances the past few weeks.  We also tested in PMAA tonight, and testing ran longer than class does.  I'm wondering if part of that has to do with the amount of material we had to cover in this section.  There's a sticks training Saturday I need to sign us up for but I'm trying to see if my oldest wants to jump in before I buy stuff. In addition to PMAA testing I also took class, went to spin class earlier in the day, and lifted some weights.  Can't forgot to...

Stuck, Stick, Unstuck

Today I spent almost the whole day in the office and was busy enough that there really wasn't time to work on requirements.  I'm glad I've got so much to do and our team is growing like it is but back in 2021 when I was preparing to test for 1st Dan, it was much easier to get a workout in, interspersed through the day.  After finishing up what I needed to do, I came home, tried to get some more work done before 5pm, and then had to figure out what to do next.  Unfortunately, requirements weren't in the cards because we had to get our stuff together and head down to the dojang.We had our regular class tonight and then PMAA for testing.  I think we did OK-ish but it could have gone a lot better.  Most of us in class are also on the Cycle so it's hard...

Despite being very tired and low energy i was able to get a leadership, class assistance, mentee secession, and a mentor secession today. Last night i got one of my essays done as well as practiced poomsae for about 30min.

I went to run with my Dad this morning at the park and came back home to work on my exercises. I practiced my Pomosae's so I can be ready for classes today. I was able to go to a Jr and Senior Tiger class to help out. Open house at my school is Thursday and ready to meet my new teacher. Today was a great day and I will keep working hard everyday.

Energized

Did my physical req, then went to king tiger.When I got to king tiger, I went for run. My goal was to ruin for 35 (I’ve been doing a run plan with Mike running app). But when I finished, I only had .75 to a full mile, so I pushed myself. Then I did something some stretching and assisted with class.  I was able to get a mentor session in and work on hopkidos, I know 1-3 really well, 4-5 are muscle memory but can use some practiced, 6-7 are tough. I’ve done them, I know bits, but the full form isn’t together. I did some mentee sessions. I worked on 3 Dan Self defense. I stayed late to work on my demo routine as well. I got a lot of things done today. Afterwards I went over to aunts and had dinner with her and my cousin. It was really nice....

School starts tomorrow

Today was my last day working with summer camp kids. I went to Urban air and it was fun. A little crazy but still fun. I got to play video games for the last time for a long time and then eat steak for dinner. Tomorrow is my first day of highschool and I think it'll be good. We can do this!

8/6 Journal Curtis

First day on the road, work up early and got 2 miles in at the hotel gym. I realize i really prefer running outside! I also had time to finish my exercise requirements. Spent the day walking around a factory and got back around 5:30. I had time to get my poomsae, kicks and self defense down into my hotel room, before dinner.  it was fun to FaceTime with Abigail so she could help me,  Overall today went much better than I expected! Hopefully I can do it again tomorrow.

Today I woke up and just felt off. Something didn't feel right mentally. I went to PT and it still didn't fix the problem. I then came home and took some time to decompress and talk about the issue. It didn't fix it at first, but after doing some physical requirements I found myself in a much better mental state. I then ate and took a nap, which also improved my mood. I finished my day with a broken up 5k workout with the club running team I workout with once a week. Running well and pushing myself to new limits gave me much needed confidence. I then came home, did some requirements, and now I am here.

Hi King Tiger Family. A pretty good day. Normal work day. Left work and came home to head to run with Nate. Got a good run in and did some requirements. Then came home. My wife cooked us a fantastic dinner. So yummy. Then onto a few more requirements. Finished some stuff and now writing this. Looking forward to tomorrow. Weeks are moving by. Still have a bunch to do. Take care.

Teaching

In Tuesdays class, I helped out during class assistance, helped some people with koryo poomsae, did a mentee and mentor session for hapkido defense 1-5. When I got home I continued practicing 4 and 5 hapkido, I also did my Bocho and 1rst Dan self-defense, exercised and felt good for the day.

Water Park

Today I woke up early to do my run in the morning which was a good run. After that I went to the Chiropractor to get adjusted but as we got there they were closed so we just went home. I just did all my requirements at home, before my friend came to pick me up. We went to Emerald pointe wet and wild, in Greensboro. It was really fun, and it was the first time I had ever been to a water park so it was cool to try all the different slides. We had a wonderful time and would for sure go there again.

Today I woke up and had pizza for breakfast.  Then I did my requirements and practiced my viola.  Then I went to king tiger.  I didn’t feel good so I only stayed for 1 class.  I then got ice cream.  I then went home and ate spaghetti.  I felt better after I ate.

Journal 17 - terrific Tuesday

I hope everyone had a terrific Tuesday and it’s excited for a wonderful for Wednesday! Today I Woke up and eat breakfast. Later hunting the day I got ready to go to my open house for school! I got there really early so I was done before a lot of people got there!!! When I got home, I ate dinner quickly and got dressed to go to taekwondo! I Help at the 6 o’clock took the 6:45 and then weapons class! When I got home, I ate a tiny snack and then got ready for bed! I hope today was a terrific Tuesday!!! Good night!! P.S. Journal 25 productive day

Today was a productive day. I worked on my essays. First, I worked on the technology challenge, then my nutrition challenge, and then the mission statement. I’m working on my fourth essay about the history. I found a book at the library that has been helpful. There is a lot of information. I have written some sentences now I have type and get it organized. I am trying to get as much completed as I can before schools starts back. I have open house tomorrow and curious to meet my teachers.

Busy Tuesday

I'm getting used to getting my requirements in between my morning Amazon shift and my regular job. It's becoming like clockwork. I'm definitely noticing an improvement in my push-ups and burpees, pull-ups, not so much. I got in a mentoring and mentee-ing session in tonight in addition to a class. Got home and vacuumed and mopped my whole house, and worked in the garden some. All this rain has wreaked some havoc on my tomato plants, so I had to pull off some dead leaves.

Journal - Day 23

Good evening, everyone! Yesterday was a nice day. I went to TKD later in the afternoon, helped out with summer camp for a bit, and then helped with the classes like normal. I got a mentee session in and also took 2nd higher class. By that class, I was exhausted and not as focused as normal. I had a lot of fun in that class since we worked on hapkidos and techniques. Today, I went to Tae Kwon Do and helped out with summer camp and classes. I got a mentor and mentee session today, which was great. Have a wonderful day!

August 6th

So today the craziest thing happened (not to crazy)! So when this morning i went to harrisburg park to run my 2 miles. there was the lightest rain ever. not to crazy right? so after that i kept running almost done with 2 miles until it started raining super hard. Man it felt so good on the hot environment. :)
