Journal - Day 22

Good Day! Yesterday was really tiring. After I came home from pre-test I took some rest. Then I started working on my assignments. My brother went to his friends house to play. I still kept going with my assignments when my dad was watching the 49ers game. Then my mom and I went to pick my brother from his friends home. After I came back I started working on my school project "Book Club". I finished it by 8PM and then crashed into the bed. I have 2 more assignments this morning and then will be working on my requirements. Have a good day all!!!

Pretest day

Today was the pretest and it was of course tough. Since this is my second cycle I knew what to expect so I wasn't terribly nervous. It was of course tough but now I have a benchmark and it will be nice to see how much I can improve by the actual test. I am sure I will be sore tomorrow. Afterward it was time for a nice shower and some lunch. Dinner consisted of pizza and a movie with the family.

Pre-test

Today I had to wake up really early because we had black belt pre-test. It was really tough. After I came home I had some ramen for lunch. I was tired today so I mostly relaxed. My parents got Hawthorne's pizza for dinner and we watched Shazam! It was funny. At the start it was a little confusing but it was a good movie.

Today was the pre-test and l was honestly so scared and nervous. But I think l did pretty well and I felt way more relaxed than I thought I would be. After I came home from the pre-test, I ate and then was on my phone because I was pretty tired. Then I wanted to do something so I thought of painting. I painted a painting for my teacher in school. That's all I did today.

TO MUCH STUFF TODAY

TODAY WAS THE BLACK BELT PRE TEST BUT BEFORE THAT I HAD A BASKETBALL AND IT WAS OUR FIRST GAME AND WE CRUSHED THE TEAM WE PLAYED GUESS WHAT THE SCORE WAS IT WAS 46-15 WE BEAT THEM BY 31 POINTS.THEN I HAD TO GO TO TAEKWONDO FOR MY TEST THEN WE WENT TO HAVE DINNER AT A KOREAN PLACE WITH MASTER LEE AND OTHER SCHOOL OWNERS.WELL I GOT TO GO,YEET

What a great training day! It started with junior tigers and many stick/star during that class. Then I worked with Rohan on stick form 2, bolo form and bo cho dan self defense. Black belt class brought poomsae pretest and much work on front kicks. After class, I went home and ate lunch, did some pushups, sit ups, and jump rope, then went back to the dojang to train with Grandmaster Lee with most of the other candidates testing in Korea and the school owners and many other masters. Enjoyed my first visit to a Korean restaurant. Thank you for the ride Master Tucker and Master Cavazos. Now it's time for a few requirements before sleep.

Saturday 1/11/2020

I.  Am.  Exhausted.  I trained harder today than I have in a long time.  I helped in Junior Tigers class, worked on requirements before black belt class, survived a very strenuous black belt class and then trained with Grandmaster Lee for 2 hours.  I made myself breathe and I pushed through, even when I thought I was going to pass out!!  I just kept thinking, "This is my black belt cycle.  It's supposed to be hard and I'm going to do it!"  I didn't log my requirements yesterday so I will add them to today's log.  I have to count up everything I did today, but I think it's going to be a pretty high number!!  Now I am in bed at 8:15 pm after taking more Advil and I could not be happier about it!

Today was my pretest.  It was tiring!  The best thing I did was push ups.  I was able to do 39 in 1 minute.  The written went ok.  After the test I got to relax and eat some sushi.

January 11th, 2020

Today I had to wake up at 6 to get ready for the pre-test. It was pretty great, in black belt class we had our poomsae test. And after our poomsae test we practiced front kicks. When I got home I ate some lunch then did my chores and ate dinner.

Day 22!

Today was the pretest! It went really good. I feel like I did good, but I still have more too improve on. I know I got the most obvious answers wrong on the written portion of the pretest- I need to study the study guides more.  I also need to work more on my front kicks and stances. Once I came home I took a long nap, I was very tired because I had to wake up early in the morning to get ready for the pretest. Good job to everyone today!

So today was the Black Belt pretest. I did well on most of my physical requirements but I hope to improve especially on my running time. During the Black Belt class we focused especially on both front kicks and talked a lot about back stances. I will be putting more time and effort into my back stances because I know that sometimes when I don’t think about it I slip side ways without noticing.

Pretest

Really good day! Woke up actually feeling better! Ran fine. Physical test went well. Learned a ton in Sparring and plan to work on those combinations. Learned I need a lot work on front kicks and also how to make better use of working on requirements. Excited for the next few weeks to improve on everything! Now to have some family time. Luci and I are logging and putting Books away for the night.

Journal - Day 21

Good Day everyone. Pre-test is done and I just came back. I ran my 1.5 miles in 14.25 minutes. I have been maintaining a steady pace in my daily run and I am happy with my time. I am sure I will be able to beat this time in my final test. We did a lot of kicks today and I am sore. I will be sleeping very well tonight. Good job everyone on the pre-test. Have a good day.

Good morning I don't you will be seeing this at 7 am but today is the Pretest!. half of my body is excited while the other half is just waiting to die. I'm looking forward to see everyone at the Pretest and hope they do great for it but not to great that you can't beat your last score!!

1/10/20 - Dege

I have had a few days this week including late nights, which makes getting requirements done daily. Last night after black belt class I went home to work until I got kicked off the system at midnight. Looking forward to training tomorrow with Grandmaster Lee. The end of the first official week of the cycle, and I don't feel that I've accomplished what I should. Days are flying by. Well, more requirements to complete today and then get some sleep. Tomorrow!

January 10th, 2020

Today was an exciting day because it was Friday! I had electives at the end of the school day, it was actually really boring. After I got home from school I went to the gym with my dad to run a mile or two. Then we went to go pick up a treadmill for the cycle so we don’t have to go to the gym everyday. But they said it was already gone, so we had to drive all the back home and we almost ran out of gas. When I got home I ate something then did my requirements. Good luck on the pre-test tomorrow everybody! I hope I do good too.

End of the first full work week of the year

This morning I went to the office as always and had some coffee. I ended up going to get a spicy lamb salad from the halal food cart for an early lunch at 11:30. When I finished it my wife texted and asked me if I wanted to go out to lunch with her. We then went to Lupie's Cafe and I had a bowl of Texas chili. After work we went to the Lake Norman dojang for a black belt class. I think we are ready for tomorrow. For unknown reasons I wasn't terribly hungry for dinner. :-)

Cake Friday

Today I went to school. It was better than the other days this week. After I came home, I checked on the snake but she wasn't very active today because she ate yesterday. We went to the Lake Norman school for a black belt class and then when we came home my mom had a surprise. She got us some cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes. I am a little nervous about the pretest in the morning.

Wasn’t goi...

Wasn’t going to journal today. Exhausted. I don’t feel well and could have gone to bed at 4 after work. Got to class. did a few requirements, took the kids to dinner. Came home prepped for tomorrow. Just had to keep moving because if I didn’t that would have been it for the day. Here’s hoping to feel better for test tomorrow.

Ready For Tomorrow

Had a great black belt class with Master Chelley at the Lake Norman dojang today!  Went over all color belt forms and self defenses.  Also got a chance to work with my mentees on the same right after class.  I was almost late to class (which never happens)!  I didn't realize with traffic it takes me an hour to get there from my house.  I will definitely leave earlier next week.  Tomorrow---physical test, sparring class, black belt class, and training with Grandmaster Lee.  Whew!  I am going to get some incredible sleep tomorrow night!  Good luck to everyone tomorrow!  Hopefully no one needs it.

Today was a great day. In the morning I had vex robotics. After that I had math. Next I had ELA. Then I had lunch. After lunch I had recess. Then after my mom picked me up from school I did my requirements. Finally I had dinner and went to bed.

Day 21!

Today was a good day. Came back from school. Had no homework. Started on my requirements. Ahh tomorrow is the pretest!! I’ve practiced my poomsaes and self defense many times. I think I’m ready for this pretest. Let’s hope it goes good! Hope everyone has a great day! Bye!

Friday 1/10/2020

Tomorrow is the pre-test!  Master Dege and I completed our physical pre-test at the beginning of our audit cycle, so tomorrow we will be helping with the morning classes.  We will definitely be in black belt class for the poomsae and self defense pre-test, though.  I've practiced my poomsae's and self defense so much that they sometimes run together in my mind.  Let's hope that doesn't happen tomorrow in front of Master Evins.  Good luck tomorrow, fellow candidates!

Last night I went to sparring class and got a great workout.  Today I have art at school.  It is my favorite subject.  Since I’m a little ahead on my running I’m going to take a day off -Yay!  I’m ready for the pretest tomorrow.

Journal - Day 20

Good Morning. Yesterday was a really long and tiring day. I had classes right after school and then went to sparring class. Before sparring class I worked with Master Marcus on my rolls and falls. Last year when I started my first BB cycle I was struggling with my rolls and falls and I have come a long way now. Sparring was tiring. I came home and watched Jeopardy. Ken won the Second time. He needs one more win to take the $1 Million dollars. Getting ready to school and then classes in the evening. Have a good day!

Thursday Jan 9th

Another beautiful day and our solar panels produced well. I worked from home and when Patrick and Erik came home from school we fed the Awakey Snakey a small mouse. After dinner Erik and I went to the dojang for classes and leadership credit. When we came home we fed the Awakey Snakey another mouse and now it should be the Full and Tired Snakey.

Tuesday 1/9/20

Long day.  Great poomsae review in black belt class tonight and we did tons of requirements!  After class I reviewed 3rd Dan 1-step self defense with Master Dege in our mentor session with Master Cavazos.  Just can’t get that one to stick in my brain!

Best Laid Plans

Was supposed to jump ahead today with requirements. Instead I barely did anything, woke up with a throbbing headache, cough and congestion. Got kids to school, made them eggs and toast, then went back to bed. Around noon I made it out of bed. Got something to eat for myself and sat down to write some essays realizing requirements would be too much of a struggle. Made it to sparring and Leadership classes. Now I again have a throbbing headache. Going to bed to hope for the best tomorrow.

Thursday

Tommorow I got a test. All the subjects are easy except for the confusing one, math. It's not hard but just really gets confusing once you go on to the next level. I can't run my daily miles alot anymore because I got a tight schedule, my dad said he's trying to find a treadmills but he couldn't find one.

Hungry Snake

Today I went to school and it was ok. The best part of today was when I got home. We got finally feed the snake. It was really interesting and it happened really fast. She saw the mouse and then it was gone so fast. We went to TKD classes and then when we got home we fed her a 2nd mouse. It was gross but cool at the same time.

Day 20!

Today was a good day. I was able to get a mentee session, leadership 1 and 2 credits, and go to black belt class. School was alright, it was the usual. I started my requirements in the morning and am currently finishing them up. I have a project due tomorrow that I still have to finish. I should probably start doing that. I hope everyone had a great day!

Today was a regular school day. When I got home I went to piano class and then when I got home I went to King Tiger to get my leadership credit and black belt class. After that I worked on my homework and I will eat dinner after I finish my homework. Hopefully I have a better day tomorrow since it is Friday tomorrow.

Pull Ups

Wow, I actually did 10 pullups today!  Not at the same time, but that is still great for me!  After even 3, I can really start to feel it in my "bad" shoulder.  But, just kept going today!  We will see how it feels tomorrow.  Looking forward to an awesome black belt class over at the Lake Norman dojang tomorrow, and tons of training and classes at North Charlotte on Saturday.

Rohan Apte - Daily Journal 13 - 1920

Today was a great day. In the morning I had math benchmarks it was boring. Then I had lunch. After lunch I had recess. Next I had music for specials. When my mom picked me up and we came home I did my requirements. Then my BFF came! We went to the science fair and we won ribbons for winning we are to the regionals. Then I came home had dinner and went to bed.

Basketball,king tiger,and new kicks

TODAY I WENT TO KING TIGER AND DID SOME REQUIREMENTS,WORKED WITH MASTER WEEKS,AND HELPED OUT WITH CLASS.THEN I WENT TO MY HOUSE TO GET MY BASKETBALL ???? Math Benchmarks

Today I took my Math Benchmark and l missed 3/35, which is 91%. We are starting a new essay for our book series. I am doing an essay on the Divergent Series. I am coming to taekwondo today.

Zombie Day

Yesterday was a tough day for me. I had a really hard time running and it felt like I was dragging a ton of bricks behind me in all my workouts. I even had issues working on my lats to get them to where I can do pull ups better without looking like im about to explode trying to do 1. I was talking to a few of my friends who love to run and we figured out that my problem is probably because I might have been dehydrated (I woke up extremely thirsty), and I haven't been getting enough sleep....let alone quality sleep. I am going to go buy a new pillow today because I woke up even more tired than I went to sleep last night. I am going to take it easy today and spread out the workouts across the day instead of doing it all in the morning. I am still coughing like I smoked a pack of cigarettes from my run yesterday so I am going to chew on a few cough drops throughout the day to see if that helps. Im also going to do the Vics on the feet at night trick tonight to see if that helps. Bring on sparring class tonight! Lesson of this story, drink lots of water and get good sleep! Oh yeah, I finished my white belt challenge last night and I ordered Taylor and myself books for our essays!

Yesterday I met with my mentee.  I practiced his hop step kicks and his turning side kick.  I also met with my mentor.  I am feeling good about my progress so far.  I also helped in class and got 2 leadership credits.  I really like helping in class.  I think it is fun!

Journal - Day 19

Good Morning everyone. Yesterday was another long day. Came back home at 8.15pm and went to watch the Greatest of All Times Jeopardy Tournament Of Champions. Yay!!! James won the Day 2 games and I was very happy. Another long day today with back to back classes and I will be back only around 8pm again. Heading to the bus stop now. I have my Reading benchmark today! Good Day!

Nice sunny day

It was a good day for solar panels and we got some good use out of ours. I worked from home today and Erik and I went for a run when he got home from school. Afterward we went up to the dojang and helped out with the senior tiger class. I got a mentee session in with my mentee so we are getting that going as well. Now I will sit and practice my guitar a little before it is time to go to bed.

Rohan Apte - Daily Journal 12 - 1820

Today was a busy day. In the morning I had benchmarks. Then I had math olympiad lunch were we have lunch and discuss math olympiad problems. After that we had recess. Next we had Art for specials. Then my mom picked me up from kids plus. But it was late so I did not have time to do many of my requirements because I had to go to king tiger for leadership credits 1 & 2 and menteeing session. After the class I had dinner and went to bed.

Wednesday

Not really hump day for me since it was my day off. Was glad to get back to 9rounds today. I mostly work out at home. Had my husband put a pull up bar in by workout room. It is really the dining room but we turned into a little gym. Run was better today. Looking forward to a better run tomorrow as well. Really tired was going to finish laundry but that will have to wait for tomorrow. Also very hungry which means I did not take in enough calories today, will have to make them up tomorrow. Recently read about not eating at night it is the time for the body to rest and if it is trying to digest food it can not get the proper rest. Hope I don’t wake up at 1am, that happens sometimes when I really under eat, then I have not choice. Anyways...

Long Day

Today I woke up very tired and was tired all day. The best part about my day was seeing my best friend Caleb at recess during school. The not so great part is some of the people in my class weren't being so nice to me. I also ran 1 mile around the field at school and another mile when I got home. To make me feel better, my mom made some of my favorite things for dinner.

Mentor & BB Class

Had an awesome mentor session and black belt class with Grandmaster Evins this morning.  Worked a ton on forms, and also did some self defense.  I feel much better about my poomsae (Jitae), and I think it is looking a lot better.  I also focused today on the TaeKwon forms.  Did one and two multiple times.  Now I have to make sure I have TaeKwon Sam & TaeKwon Sa down.  That is a different story right now, but will get them hammered down soon.

Today I woke up and got ready for school as usual. But there was something different about today, it was a half day! At school we just went over a few things in class today. It was a pretty chill day at school. When I got home I had to go to the gym to do some of my requirements. And when I got home I had to go to dance class then go home and do my homework. And yet again, it was a rough day.

My first day of doing these blogs. Whew, I started a little late but better late then never. Requirements are going well but everything is pretty sore, also need to study and practice for the Pre-Test this Saturday. I got back from school and finished my homework then started doing requirements. I am really trying to push my self for this cycle I feel it will be a good experience. Day 19!

Hey guys! Today was another day of school. I came back and started my homework and got that out of the way. After I started on my requirements. I then went to TKD and did a mentee session and got leadership 1 and 2 credits. Currently I am back home and finishing up my requirements. Well that’s about it! Have everyone had a good day! Bye!!

Wednesday 1/8/20

My body is so sore from doing all these requirements, but I just have to keep pushing through. I’ve been trying to get started on my essay, but so far I haven’t made much progress.  I definitely don’t want to wait until the last minute to get that done.  Seems like I have a million books about Korean culture and history as well as books about the origin of tae kwon do, so i have no excuse for putting it off.

Soccer

I started soccer workouts for school today. We had to run a mile and it’s was exhausting. But I ran it in 7 min and 22 seconds so I’m proud. All my grades are good and class isn’t as boring. I got my mentee today so that’s good.

At school today we had a Map test on Eastern Africa. I got a 106% on it so now my Social Studies grade is a 107%  and I’m doing well. I also watched a school play and it was ok. I don’t like sitting still for too long and it was 2 hours long.

ELA Benchmarks

Today, I took the English Language Arts benchmark. It was really hard, and I didn't get to finish my benchmark. I am ready for the Math Benchmark, but just a little nervous. I am also a little nervous about the Pre-Test. I am coming to taekwondo today for my mentor and my mentee sessions.

Yesterday, we went on field trip so it was an easy first day back.  It is a little harder to get my requirements done now that I’m back to school.  I’m glad I got a head start over break.  Back to school again today.  I’m going to meet with my mentee tonight.

Journal - Day 18

Yesterday was a long day. Came back from school and had to go to my other classes. We came back and the Greatest of all times Tournament of Champions Jeopardy started. I watched it thru 8.45pm and then slept off in the couch as i was very tired. I woke up to find that Ken beat James by $200 to win Game 1. I really hope James wins the second one. I am now getting ready to leave to school. I have another long day ahead of me. Good Day.

hi everybody today was tiring bc i had a lot of activities and didn't go home anywhere in between so i left the house at like 6:30 am and came back around 9:15 pm. school was fun and exasperating at the same time. after that i went to my after school club and then went to tkd. after tkd i came home, ate dinner, finished my requirements, and am now tracking/journalling. it is currently 10:50 rn y yo tengo some other stuff to do still. shouldn't take long tho. i'm just looking forward to sleep at this point. gn yall y see u tmrw

I went to a Tuesday black belt class at Master Evans today. I really enjoyed it because we mainly focused on kicks, specifically sidekicks. I love working on little things like that because then it translates into everything else we do. School isn't any better and I'm studying a lot for math especially because for me it is a harder subject.

Today was another day of school. Today I had band instead of art because it was a A day so I went to the band room. I'm mostly ahead in that class with my friend because we knew a lot already and we came in for lunch to get ahead. After school I came home and did my homework and just went to black belt class and got a mentor session. Pretest is coming up and remember... it starts at 8:15 AM.

Today I went to my first Grandmaster Evins' black belt class. I did a lot of v up type exercises. I liked what Grandmaster Evins focused in in todays class, side kicks and aim. Our aim on the side kicks were very important because it forced you to have control. I am looking forward to the poomsae part of the protest on Saturday. I wish everybody good luck on the pretest!

Tuesday 1/7/20

Just got home from black belt class. It was an awesome class, but all I had to eat today was two boiled eggs and half an apple. I didn’t really intend not to eat, I was just really busy at work and didn’t have time.  By the end of class I felt a little dizzy. I will not do that again.  I didn’t realize how sore my glutes are from the daily kicks I’m doing for requirements. By the end of class it was hard to hold my leg up! I also recognize how weak my right ankle is. I will have to go see my chiropractor to see if he can help with some ankle rehab.

Today was a regular day except it is Tuesday and I had Science Olympiad so I came home a little later than usual. And when I got home I ate some soup then started to work on my homework. After I finished half of my homework I had to go to King Tiger to take Black Belt class and have a mentor session. Finally when I got home I ate dinner then finished my homework and wrote this journal. Today was a rough day. I just hope that you had a better day then I did though!

Beautiful day. I missed the rain, finally got out for a run and burpee workout. Wasn’t wonderful but it is logged. Glad Ihave tomorrow off kind of, have a class to take smack in the middle of the day but only for a few hours. Excited about a 9rounds workout tomorrow.

Sooooooore

You know you are doing a lot when your body is sore every single day!  In the morning I try my best to stretch and get all of the "pops" out.  By the end of the evening though, it feels great to just lay down.  Body just has to get used to it...again.  I'm chiseling away at requirements, slowly but surely.  I am already way ahead on my miles, but already also starting to get behind on other things.  I'll get it!  I'll bet it is fun for other people watch me try to get out of my car in the morning.  Probably looks like a 90 year old right now!

Today was a great day. In the morning at school I had math. Then I had ELA. Next I had lunch. After lunch we had PE for special's. When I got home I did all my requirements. Next I plan to go to Tae Kwan Do for my leadership credit's, mentoring, and black belt weekday class. Then I am planning to get JJ's for dinner and I am obviously going to bed. So have a great rest of your day!

Today was a way better than yesterday and l feel way more confident in me. But, I a still a little nervous about the benchmarks tomorrow and Thursday. I am also kind of nervous for the pre-test. I am coming to taekwondo today, so see you there.

Work Work Work Work

Even though yesterday was my full day back to work from the holidays, today is the first full day back to work in the office. I have to say, it was good to get back into the office until I found out my friend up and quit out of the blue, the guy behind me is sick and won't go home, and they ran out of Pepsi Zero. Back to work it is! Haha. I get to see my students though, so I am super excited about that. I really missed teaching them and working out with them. I've been told Im getting about 4 new students so that's pretty awesome! It will be good to have a mixed class of belt ranks again. I will have white belts and high yellow belts now. I've started grooming my higher belts to be future instructors and having lower belts in class makes...

Journal - Day 17

Good Morning everyone. Yesterday was a great day and fun day. I did most of my requirements during my PE. I also did Leadership 1, 2 and my mentee session yesterday. My benchmark tests are this Thursday and Friday.  I am super excited for the Jeopardy Tournament of Champions tonight. Heading to school. See you all soon!

Today is my first day back to school in over 2 weeks.  I’m excited to see all of my friends.  I have a field trip today to the nursing home so that we can visit with the residents.  I’m going to try and get some of my requirements done before school so that I don’t have as many this afternoon.

well, it's back to school again. as soon as i went back i was piled w hw and assignments, which was expected. i do have a lot of things to look forward to this month as well, although it'll take some work to get there. i rlly want to go to sleep, but i still have some stuff to do before that happens. i try to go to bed as early como sea posible (on school nights, anyway). buenas noches y hasta mañana.

Today I woke up at 7:22 am and then went to school. Going to school wasn't fun for me because we are doing an essay and also we have benchmarks on Wednesday and Thursday so I have a lot to do. But, it was fun meeting my friends in the new decade. I also went to Taekwondo today and saw one of my old friends!

Back to work

First day back at the office. It was a nice day and I really enjoyed it. Got caught in a late meeting but still made it home in time to go to the dojang for a leadership credit and a mentor session. After dinner we took the new snake out of its home so we could clean it (the home not the snake) and put some more substrate in. The boys are still pondering a name so for now we are just calling it awakey snakey. :-)

This was my first day back at school and I didn’t really enjoy it. I was happy to see my friends but I now have to study for midterms. I’m back on track with my requirements and I ran 2 miles this afternoon when it was sunny.

Oh John

Oh John you are behind already, why I am sure you can provide me an excuse but I more than likely will not accept it. I feel you need to not work three jobs, and not take on every bodies activities to get things done. You need to work on allow others to do some of the work. I know you will say they are idiots and can not do it as fast and well as you.  This may be true but you have to not give your self a panic attack when you realize you do not even know the schools address. Oh well at least you can run and do push ups. LOL.  Well good luck John I hope you find your way, lord knows you will need some help along the way.   John

Back to School

Today it was my first day back to school from break. Everybody was wearing their new clothes that they got from Christmas. Everybody liked each others clothes. I wore my new purple running shoes to school today. We learned about the Gulf Streams and the Jet Streams and how they effect the weather in certain parts of the world. In math today, I reviewed adding, subtracting, and multiplying fractions. My favorite part of the day because I learned about how immigration effects life styles. I was able to get my requirements done during the day too, which surprised me because school takes up most of my day. I am taking the advice from other people and instructors on tips on how to get through the cycle during busy times.

Last Day of Break

Today was the last day of winter break. I hung out with my brother while my parents went to work. We played video games, went for a run, and made our own lunch. This evening, my Far and I went to help with the senior tiger class. When we came home, my mom made vegetarian chili for dinner. After dinner we got to take out the snake that my brother got for Christmas. Today was a very good last day of winter break.

Today was the day pretty much a lot of scholars  that they come back from winter break and right back in school. Unlike other schools my school gave me over break homework, but luckily  I finished most of it before break started. When I came back from school I did my requrierments and started to do some Homework that was given out. after this journal I'm just going to read a book.

Good day. Had a critical pt at work today that I made the right call on immediately. Getting into any early morning routine of poomsaes and kicks. If some one would just pay me to work out that would be good. Pushups are improving dramatically after this short time. Thought I would hate this part journaling. Hasn’t bothered me as much as I thought it would!

Rohan Apte - Daily Journal 10 - 1620

Today was the first school day after winter break(sigh...).  Today we had math in the morning and then did some science. We learned about the human body systems and we learned multiplying fractions. Then we switched to ELA and Social Study's. We did not do any ELA today we just watched some BrainPOP videos on the American Revolution for social study's. Then we had Lunch. After Lunch my teacher passed out the homework and we packed up. Then we had specials we had technology but don't expect games, we practiced typing. Then I rode the bus home. When I got home I did all my requirements, and got some TV time. Lastly I had dinner and went to bed.

Monday 1/6/20

I am standing in my kitchen doing poomsaes while my riced cauliflower steams in the microwave.  I have to take advantage of every spare minute.  Days like today make me want to come home, get in bed and just cover my head.  I know I can’t do that though.  Many requirements are waiting.

Today I woke up at 7:30 and got ready for school. At school I started three new projects and we started a new math topic. I had media for connect today, it was really boring. When I got home I ate some soup and started doing my homework. After I finish my homework I’m going to do my requirements but I can’t run today because I have too much homework to do and there is no time to. That is my day for now I guess. Day 17!

Hey guys! Today was rough to go to school, it was hard to wake up-like usual. When I came back home, I started with my homework. Once I was done I started on my requirements. I’m planning to go to 6:45 class to help out. After I’ll probably finish up my requirements, and continue my homework. Well that’s it! Hope everyone had a good first day back to school! Bye!

Back To It

Happy Monday!  Back to "normal."  My tracking for yesterday looks like crazy numbers, but I did that because for some reason it wouldn't let me count 3 days of when the pre-cycle first started, because I was previously on the Master's Journey.  So I lumped those credits together with what I did yesterday.  I also have a jump rope now, so I can start getting that done.  I am super excited to teach some awesome classes today!

Progress

I broke down and signed up for a gym membership. I HATE gyms with a passion but it was a good deal and I know I am going to need one when I move out of my apartment later this month. The current gym is lacking and so I can only do so much in there, not to mention now that it's the turn of the year, a lot of people are using the treadmills (there are only 2) and weights. At least at the gym, I can grab a treadmill without waiting hours. I am proud of myself though. I started the precycle with a 1.25 mile run that lasted 19:37 minutes and I have gotten it down to 17:40 minutes with only 2 stops to a brisk walk! That is amazing to me, no matter how slow it is. I am not a runner but I am getting better.

Today is the last day of my winter break!  I’m excited to go back to school tomorrow and see all my friends. My sister is at school so I will have plenty of time to do my requirements.  I have 4 essays completed and I’m starting my fifth today.  I’m also getting new running shoes today.

Journal - Day 16

Yesterday was a great day. I finished all my requirements in the morning. My brothers friends came over to play. They are non-identical twins. We had a great time. This morning school starts. I woke up early and got in a few requirements and now heading out to school. Have a great day!

Last lazy day before going back to work

Got to sleep in for the last day before going back to work tomorrow. Erik and I took a 2.3 mile run before we had a brunch/lunch. In the afternoon we worked on poomsaes and self defenses. Tomorrow I will be going back to work after a long winter break. I am actually not sad to be going back to work but it has been good spending some quality time with the family.

Good running day

Today I went for my longest run. It was really good but now I am very sore. The back of my legs hurts the most. My mom made a lot of awesome food today. Including monkey bread and homemade tacos. I asked her for the recipe so I can make them one day on my own. I am sad I have to go back to school on Tuesday. One more day of fun.

Today was a great day. In the morning I had breakfast and studied for the pretests 10 questions. Next I did half of my requirements. Then I had lunch. After lunch I played on my Xbox, we downloaded another new game, it should be fully downloaded by tomorrow. Then I finished the rest of my requirements. Finally we had dinner and went to bed.

Sunday 1/5/20

Awesome day today!  Started my day with a 3 mile walk around the lake in my neighborhood.  Worked mostly on poomsaes, self-defense and kicks. My rotator cuff is hurting a bit. I did not log requirements yesterday which means I will have to log yesterday and today in the same entry after I finish journaling. The weekends are never, ever long enough!

Need to get back into efficient routine. Need to find a new normal. It sure will be quieter at home. It would be nice if I felt stronger, but I don't know that I do. Push it and get it done. Tomorrow is another day. Make the most of it.
