Back to class tonight.... The last few weeks feel like they have been a whirl wind. Master Shin was out of town, TJ and I took care of Belmont classes. (I always feel honored that he feels confident enough in us to handle things while he is away.) It cut into a lot of hours however that I needed to get some of my own work done. (not complaining). I had some health issues kick in last week too that required additional doctor visits... So actually, teaching was the easy part of last week.. ha ... and then I was trying to prepare for my own family vacation. (around my house, that takes a week)Our family vacation was scheduled directly behind Master Shin's... all last week. I love my kids, my grand kids, but I found real quick that screaming two year olds, 4 yrs olds, and 9 mos olds in...

I was able to get in a PMAA class this evening. The PMAA allows me to be a beginner student learning material as a student. This evening, I worked with a newer student so I played the instructor/student role. Good times.

today was cool it was my second day of school i had some homework the hardest one was math hope i get the answers correct! because my teachers Mr.tinker oh boy he's a scary he's always looking at you and he told the class that nothing can get buy hime he is sarcastic person a lot of times and also very dependable! well got home did my homework when i got done with homework my uncle gave me a ride to black belt because my dad's car was taking rappers so my mom's car was being used by my dad i got to take bb class and PMAA and also got to help in family class when i got home i walked my dog and gave him food now he's sleeping so goodnight !!!!

Today at school we had a small debate. The topic was "Should the US destroy there weapons of Mass Destruction?", I was on the team that said no. It was 6 vs 7, my team was outnumbered. The rest of the class were judges. Each person on each team would go against another. The first and second round was a tie, I came in the third. When it was my turn, I creamed my opponent. My teacher even said that I ate him up, so I won. The round was we won again, so we ended up winning. In Tae Kwon Do, Master Cavazos made us do Yellow to Bocho Dan Poomsae. I also am getting my Samsung Galaxy S6 tomorrow, can't wait! That all for me, Goodbye!

Today at PMAA class I worked for 20 minutes straight on Cinawhilies(sp?) without stopping. After I couldn't feel my hands. I had to wait for about 5 minutes for feeling in my hands to come back. After it came back, it stung for about 2 minutes. Then it felt normal. I knew the feeling would return because something similar has happened to me before. Stick class was fun though.

Great color belt poomsae review tonight at North Charlotte! Pre test is right around the corner. I'm ready for the written test and the color belt self defense and poomsaes, but the run, push-ups and burpees have me shaking in my boots. My knees are getting better, slowly but surely. Every once in a while they get a little weak and I just lose my balance during a poomsae. Everyone else will be statue-still in a stance and there I am wobbling. Hope that doesn't happen Saturday! I'm very proud of how much better my burpees are than they used to be (that doesn't mean they're good.... just better!). I'm slow as molasses when I'm doing them, but I'm trying to keep good form and I'm actually able to bend my knees a little for the squat thrust. Today is my third day and I am so sore but confidant that it will all get easier.

Today was my second day of school and we talked about key concepts that we needed to stay on task.

Today was the 2nd day of school and it went by pretty fast. No homework again today but I bet we are gonna get a boatload of homework starting next week. My teacher seems nice and my classmates are very friendly. I was super sleepy when I got home but it was probably because of the long day plus class.

Today, I went to school. After that i did my homework and some requirements. then, i went to black belt class. now it is time to sleep

Eventful day - -same old work stuff then off to dojang. Positive note got to dojang early so was able to knock out quite a few requirements, not so positive note reason alarm was going off at house so got to go deal with the boys in blue- -all ended up good think someone may have tried but our alarm sounds like an air raid horn so probably scarred them away thankfully unless the window magically started moving on its own. Assisted in my normal junior wang ho class then adult class which was great, tons of color belt review then Inst. Hsin decided he wanted to make sure we had some physical requirements in at the end of class. Love when he does that!!!

I studied my test hard at home and in class in preparation for the pre-test on Saturday. There are some things that I can not pronounce and there are some things I can. I think the hardest part of the written pre-test is spelling the words.

My oldest son had his first cross country meet today. He did well, but is having a hard time getting his homework finished at a reasonable time. I hate to be the mean dad, but I will have him quit the team if grades are going to drop.

I went to class in Belmont today. We worked on Pal Gwe forms and also worked on making study guides for the written test. I had mine from 2 years ago but there were a few changes that we had to make. It was very helpful. Before black belt class, I had a mentee session. I worked on their kicks and stretches with them.

My first journal entry this cycle!!!! It's been a busy week this week with school and the black belt cycle both starting. I kicked off the cycle with Master Hama's Sparring seminar. Had a BLAST and learned a lot. Today I woke up early to get requirements in before school. I helped with the 430 and 530 classes and got leadership credits. I took the black belt class and got a Mentor session in.

Had a good day at school today. Still do not have any homework to do yet. Yea!!!! Went to the Dr on Saturday. He said that I had a bad sprained ankle. Master Shin said that I should stay off a foot as much as possible so that I hopefully can run for the Black Belt pre test on Saturday. That is what I'm going to do.

There is this voice in the back of my mind that says "You can't possibly do this at 49. You're too old, it's too hard, it hurts and you're much too busy". If there is anything I've learned, it's this: That voice is not me. That voice knows nothing, That voice wants to keep my life small and safe. This is the same voice that said I could not possibly go to medical school, I could not possibly be an Ob/Gyn, I could not possibly open my own practice. This voice is the enemy. It has been with me throughout my life. I've learned not to believe it. So when it says, "You can't do that" I laugh and say, "Watch me!"   3.45 miles

Today, I surprised myself and went shopping with my wife.  Even though I suffered much I was able to make it an OK day.  Got in some requirements. 

Tuesday is normally the busiest day of the week for me, so I hope all goes well today. Almost finished with my white belt essay. I have chosen my two heros, and I think I have chosen a new skill (just need to get it approved). Still hammering out requirements...

Long day but good, I like all my new classes and teachers, had a god day at work, and even got a lot of cycle stuff done. The only problem I had today was dinner, I get home when everyone has already eaten so i usually have to reheat it up, but I spilled the container, I had to clean it up and then i had no meat sauce with my spaghetti

I had a good day today.   Began with my normal breakfast.  I finished small jobs around the house which included mowing the lawn.  I was also able to do some requirements done.   .

The second week of school has started for me, most of your schools started today. One of my classes teacher is still making us get to know each other. We still haven't had any homework except last wee for math. I have my first test this week for science for Lab Safety. Today our school was handing out laptops for students (not for FREE) and I didn't get one, even my sister got one. I am also getting and Samsung Galaxy S6 (White), its going to be my first one. It should be coming in a few day, can't wait!

today was a nice day it started with school in the morning it was nice day the first day was awesome it started of with my homeroom and then reading and math well math and lea where fun my teachers rocked especially my science teacher he's amazing i loved how he explains the material also my advance band class is awesome this year I'm going to do a lot of competitions and since where the best in the school where doing it will my day ended with a nice relaxing walk back home i got home and i had to get more supplies i got them i organized them now I'm back home ready to go to bed and just dream about my sweeties dreams inside my head lol:) goodnight

Whew! Back to the dojang today! It was also the first day of afterschool (and the first day of school for a lot of students!), so definitely a very busy day. Hammered out a lot of requirements today, it felt good getting back to the grind. Gearing up for the pre-test on Saturday!

My first day of school was a pretty good day. I met my teacher and all of the new kids in my class. There are 6 other kids from my class last year. Unfortunately none of them were my best friends. My favorite part of the day was music because I like music. When I was called upon to explain the rules for music. There was 'Be A Good Listener.' This is one of the easy ones to remember because it has two eighth notes and two quarter notes. A quarter note is one beat and an eighth note is two beats on one note. My music teacher said I was spot on. After that we learned a song. I forgot what it was called. I'm pretty sure it went like this... "oooh goodly thing if the children of this world could dwell together innnnnnnn peeeeeeaaaaaace."

today i went to school an since it was the first day and i was going into 7th grade, there were double the amount of people there were last year. and all the 6th graders were so small. but other than the traffic i got some of my friends in my class so the first day wasn't so bad.

Productive day with requirements and helped with the bocho's at 5:45 class today then BB class with lot's of color belt review- - -needed that and pretty happy with the results. I am confident I will get everything done and see this to the finish however these dang pullups. Even with my beloved red bungy I can still not conquer them - -frustrating- -maybe some day but not going to loose sleep over it. Looking forward to a great week and the pre test on Saturday.

First day of school... I am so exhausted, hearing teachers repeat no gum, no food, no phones, etc. really takes it out of you! I also went to class in Belmont today. We went over a lot of the changes to the Tae Geuk forms. It was really hard to get used to some of them, especially putting my blocking hand on the outside instead of the inside! After that, I went for a run/walk while my brother had football practice.

My kids had a great first day of school. (Whew!). I was able to get a good bit of requirements done although no running today. I'm a little worried about the run during the pretest on Saturday. I'll just do my best and keep working to become better.

Today was the first day of school. My teachers name is Mrs.Colberg. Today I learned some things about my teacher and my classmates. I'm looking forward to this school year. Hopefully the school year will go by fast. After school I went to Taekwondo. Then my mom picked me up to take me to guitar lessons. Then my mom took me to hyper class and it was really fun. We did cart wheels,rolls,handstands,and lots of other cool things we did in class.

It's been an exciting day today. I was kind of glad to be going back to school. I like my teachers and I'm really excited to start learning Spanish.

Started the day with getting the kids ready for their first day back to school. All went well with no hitches. It's great to get back to my "normal" schedule where I can work and work-out without interruptions. The morning consisted of drinking coffee and talking with Lori about Shirley. We expect Shirley to pass very soon after a major stroke. It's a devastating blow to the entire family. They don't make women like Shirley anymore. She's kind and gentle with the warmest voice. My heart aches to know that Sheila, John, Mike and the girls are in so much pain. Live each day to the best you can. Say I''m sorry, I love you, hug more and laugh because that's what people will remember about you.

Today since it was raining i was able to fix my game console. That worked like a charm so me and my bro played some games over the day and exercised, like doing push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups.

Today my family decided to stay home today. My mom and dad stayed in bed until 12:00pm. I was downstairs watch jurassic park 1 and 3. Then my dad wanted a soda so we drove to the gas station to get him some soda I also got something then we came home then we ate dinner.

today was a nice day seriously it first started out with a morning walk and then when i came back home i ate breakfast knowing its the last day of 2k15 summer i feel bad its the last day but school starts and I'm in 8th grade so next year is high school will i went to church it was nice i got done and then i went to the mall to buy some new shoes and a a shirt i ate chipotle man i ordered a good meal i got the shirt and my shoes i came back home walked my dog and now I'm I'm ready for school tomorrow!! lol :):):):):):):):):):):):):)

I feel scared yet excited about going to school tomorrow. I can't wait to meet all the people in my class. There are only two people in my class that I know. The coolest thing I did this summer was something called the Jetovater. we have a video of it that I haven't gotten to see it because my uncle has it. My brother, uncle and dad did it with me. The jetovator is a one person water jetpack/elevator thing. Instead of the jet ski towing you, you pull the jet ski. The jet ski provides the propulsion that shoots you up into the air. There are two handles that are connected to jets and these handles help you go higher, faster, and turn. The more you pull the handles towards you, the more you go up. The more you push them away from you, the faster you go. It was...

Today I built a base on Mars and a space station on Minecraft. It is completely livable by anything! It was very fun.

This summer has been the best summer ever. Let me tell you what we have done. One thing we did was ride on a plane for the first time to Florida. It was an amazing view to see. When we landed we drove to the apartment. The next day we went to the beach. Another thing we did was I went to the Hornets Basketball Camp. At the first Camp I got a defense trophy. And at the last camp a got nothing, but I got a Hornets bracelet from my coach. This summer was fun and I can't wait for the next one. Oh I almost forgot, yesterday I went to the sparring seminar with Master Hama, but I was trained by Grandmaster Kan and she taught us a lot of techniques. Tomorrow I start 4th grade and make new friends. See you tomorrow.

Today was a ruff day. We moved all the toys in my bedroom a different room. Then we made sure we had everything for school tomorrow. Then I played with my friends on my Xbox. Now, I did some requirements.

Jerome & I met today and focused on self defense - -yikes- -thinking we are going to be sore tomorrow since I was on a mission to go non stop. The soreness will go away but you can not get more time so got to utilize what you have- - today was it. Looking forward to classes this week and going over the study guides to see what will stick for the pretest.

Yesterday was my first 10K. I was very pleased with my time. I went into the race knowing that the last two miles were challenging. I was hoping to finish without walking and with a time under 70 minutes. No walking and a finish time of 102.53. I was very pleased.

that seminar yesterday was A LOTof fun. in the end, i was allswetay and gross. i got my ipadback today! yay! we just finished moving....its nice....i really like our kitchen, it is so renovated...all new gadgets...all of themfrom a german company..i think called miele.....the microwaves touchscreen! my rooms almost finished. i dont want to go to schooltomorrow.we have picture day on tuesday. yay. fun.

I had a great time at Master Hama's seminar yesterday! I learned a lot of different combinations that I can use. I am incredibly sore! School starts tomorrow... I am really not ready to wake up so early! I am spending some time getting everything in order and I also finished my white belt challenge essay today.

I awakened late this morning feeling sore and tired.  Our great grand child, who is two years old, slept with us last night.  What a mistake, I was kicked so many times and she topped it off with a hard slap to the face.    I don't plan on getting beat up by someone as young again.  Late breakfast then some requirements.

today I did most of my requirements and I did my 2 mile run. I think if I do extra requirements daily I should be done with my requirements daily.

Didn't realize I would be this sore from the sparring seminar yesterday. Having trouble getting myself up and out of bed. Kids start school tomorrow so it's back to the grind. Today I need to grocery shop, do laundry, clean, and work on requirements. That ought to work some of the soreness out. I also need to keep working on my essays. Happy Sunday everyone!

The cycle officially started yesterday and what a great way to get it started. We trained with Master Hama for two hours on our sparring drills. It feels good to be a student again and learn new material. I think my students liked that I was taking class with them too. We're all human and have a lot to learn. You can only get better by actively going after it!

Today I took a sparring seminar with Master Hama and I really learned a lot. After class today I went to a car dealership with my family and we looked at some cars because my mom wants a new one. After that we went to Target because I need graph paper for school but we didn't buy any because the lines were extremely long so then we went to the grocery store. After that we went to best buy to get a new laptop for my mom's job.

Today, I went to train with master Hama. It was fun! After that, I went to play with my friends. I did my requirements after that. I ate a burger for dinner now I am tired so I am going to sleep

Today I didn't do any requirements because I didn't have time to do them. Today was a fun day because we got to train with an olympic athlete and how got to learn how to attack your opponent and cover you body so that the opponent can't score on you. After that I ate lunch and played xbox with my friend. And then I played outside for a little while. I had a really fun day today.

So disappointed I missed both Thursday and Saturday class with Master Hama sounds like it was awesome. It was a stressful adventure getting to DC, needless to say we were due to arrive at 4:30 on Thursday which turned into 1:130am in Baltimore, finally got to hotel at 2:15 then had to be up at 6. Spent the morning with Chaplin Sama to which we were grateful for the beautiful service and my brother is now at his final resting place atop a hill over looking the Pentagon. Coincidentally his office was at the Pentagon for years and the street in Arlington is named Grant which is also his grandsons name. Once everyone got back to hotel most took off for the Mall to visit many of the monuments but sister and I hung back. She needed some quiet time with her book so I took off for a run then...

Today i had a sparring seminar with master Hama. It was cool what he taught us, I learned that when you kick to the head that if your ankle and hips don't turn then you wont kick as high. It was fun and i had a great time with him and his coach.

so today was rough i first went for a run a long one i also did requirements thats why i couldn't practice in the back i was to tiered i ate breakfast and then wait for my dada to pick me up during that time took a nap and the my dad picked me uphill dropped me of at king tiger because of the seminar!! i was happy because the class was supper fun i did some very cool new tricks for sparring and it was a long sparring class/seminar... when it was done i went home i waled my dog but i might go take another nap so goodnight!!

The sparring seminar today was GREAT!! I loved watching Master Cann and Master Abdul coach the kids. I learned so much today and I'm so glad I went! I'm exhausted now but it was worth it! Next thing to look forward to..... The pretest!

I had a very good time training today .  I was a little tired because getting up in the morning is a chore for me.  My breakfast was cereal and milk, of course coffee.   Only have enough energy to do a few requirements 

It seems like my trip to the beach was so long ago even though it was just last weekend. The weather was ideal and we had fun just hanging out on the beach. Matthew has wanted to ride in a helicopter, so we took a short tour up the coast too. That was fun! After a busy half week at work, Saturday started with Junior Tigers, Family class, and then Sparring seminar with Master Hama, Grandmaster Caan and Master Abdul. A lot of students came to spar and it was a lot of fun. It was great to watch the younger kids spar, get some coaching and then actually react appropriately to the coaching. After sparring, Master Evins gave me my 2nd Dan Kukkiwon certificate. How cool is that!This afternoon I went for about a 9 mile bike ride with Bob and Matthew to the greenway then to the elementary school...

Had a long day so far, and still nowhere near over. Yard work, and lots of housework! A good way to end vacation...Had a good trip to the beach for a few days, but managed to get some requirements done as well. Not as many as I normally do, but still chipping away. Ready to get this cycle "started"! :)

Today I am going to the sparring seminar at the North Charlotte location. I can't wait to train with Master Hama today. I wonder what we are going to do in class today. I am probably going to be sore after the seminar. This is my first seminar though, but I can't wait to go.

Today was super busy. We went to open house and met my new teacher. I am looking forward to going back to school and getting back to my normal routine. I have a long day tomorrow, but it will be fun.

Well the first week of school is now over. We didn't have any homework the whole week except today, ON A FRIDAY! My class was doing Integers in Math class and my teacher decided to give us homework today. Once Monday hots there is gonna be tons and tons of homework. I can't wait to train with Master Hama tomorrow. The Black Belt Cycle also tomorrow, I don't know what to expect. Soon enough the Black Belt Pre-Test is gonna hit to. Black Belt Cycles are tough and challenging. Well that was my day. Cya!

Today I didn't do any requirements because I went to Asheville with my grandmother and my parent to a see a temple on a mountain. We had a lot of fun because we got to be on a mountain and got to walk around the temple with my baby brother. After that we went home and ate pizza for dinner and watched some tv. I had a lot of fun today.

Helped with testing again tonight at North Charlotte. Home now and already in bed. Gotta rest up for Master Hama. Hope to see everyone at the sparring seminar tomorrow!

Today in school we did a paper lab in science. We made a model like a football field goal and we threw it up it the air. We had to observe it and write down what we had seen. When I came home, I did a lot of requirements. Now I am going to go run 2 miles. I am going to sleep well today.

Today I didn't do much. My dad bought me a pull up bar so I could start my pull ups but I'm having a bit of trouble actually pulling myself up. When my mom got home I went to the outlet mall near the airport.

I am so excited to see my numbers. I am almost done and will just have to practice physical requirements for the test. I have started looking at the written test questions. I have forgotten so much in 2 years...

Today was much better day for my requirements. Plenty of forms in. I was also able to get a little run in tonight to stay ready for Sat. I have been told that it is a bit hilly. I am not looking forward to that part. Hopefully I can get finished without walking. I hate hills.

Today my grandma did not go to the pool today. She said that she was not feeling very well. We went some places to do some things. When we got lunch I did my daily requirnments.

Today i went to the chiropractor to get an adjustment because my back was hurting. Then after that i helped out testing and got a thanks from master Evins. Then i went home and got some food to get ready to go to bed and get ready for the next day.

A lot going on in my mind right now. I'm contemplating making significant changes at the Belmont location and I hope everything will work out in the end. There's so much on my mind in terms of the current building, finances, staffing and future add on programs. All is necessary for the success of the school.

Helped with testing tonight at North Charlotte. It's so fun to see the junior tigers test! Worked with Master Cavazos a bit for a mentor session then took PMAA class. Didn't get many requirements done today. Back at it tomorrow!

Today in summer camp we went to LKN Mini Golf and it was pretty fun me being not an amazing mini golfer I did pretty well

While I was at my grandparent's house I played Minecraft. In Minecraft Grandpa built the Washington Monument! I plopped a beacon on the top of it so lots of people could see it. I tamed four dogs that are now sitting on my couch in my game.

Today in school, we did a current events project in social Studies. In Math we did mean, median, and mode. In science we did a measurement lab. When I got home, I did all my requirements. I haven't been doing a lot of requirements because of school. I did go to black belt class so I got some requirements though.

I woke up this morning and my ankle was black and blue. Dad put a bandage on it for me and put an ice pack on it. I stayed like that for most of the morning. Later I got to go to Bradley's house to watch a movie. Even thought my ankle hurt I did go to Master Shin's today. I was to work with Alex who is a white belt but he did not show up. I still stayed and got in a few kicks.

Today was a good day. Let me tell you what happened. We started the day like any other, we played video games. After that we ate and went to my grandmothers house. While we were there we watch a movie called Shark Tale. It was very funny and I learned never to lie. After that we went home to change to go to Open House. At Open House I met my new teacher and she was super nice. Then we went to eat Breakfast for Dinner at Cracker Barrel. It was good. And now after this I will do my requirements. See you tomorrow. The rain was a welcome sght last night thinking it would cool off the temps.   I believe the humity climbed a few degrees though making things feel a bit warmer.  I had a good breakfast this morning and rght after jumped into doing requirements.  No one said it would be easy, but fair.  As a matter of fact Master Evins lets us know BB is earned.          

Today I went to open house at my school. I'm going into the seventh grade at Ridge Road Middle School. I was excited to see all my friends there. I got to meat all my teachers for seventh grade and I'm really looking forward to going back to school.

today was awesome it first started with a run as usual and then i went straight to do my requirements and then to eat breakfast! right around 1pm my mom came home well i was with my dad all morning we where cleaning the house and we where waiting and waiting and as i said my mom came and we went straight to my open house as i i was there i saw some friends and then i went and saw theocrat that had all the names of the students so i looked and looked and there was my name i had a an awesome teacher Mr.miller i talk to him he seems nice but when i got done with that i went to work with my dad and then back home my aunt came and said hi then she left and now I'm going to bed so goodnight!

I had an peacefully uneventful day today. Push-ups are still very difficult with the tendinitis in my right elbow. I'm taking lots of anti-inflammatories but they aren't helping much. I've been reviewing for the written exam quite a bit every day and I'm getting excited about the pretest!

Today, I went to Master Hama's sparring class in Belmont. I really enjoyed it even though it was challenging. I thought that a lot of the kicking drills that he had us practice were very interesting. I was able to do most of the excercises too!

I took a break today and didn't go to class and it was relaxing I just read

Woke up at 6:45 am still in my Summer Mode. During the the summer I was waking up between 10 am to 11 am. Now three days into school I am still in that schedule. My class figured out that our 5th period is Environmental Studies which is all about the environment and nature. Our teacher for 5th period is a Social Studies teacher, which is funny since Environmental Studies is more of Science. Our class had to act out an Environmental problem scenario. I was running in the evening when it was drizzling when it started pouring. The thunder was so loud and I could see the lightning strikes. Well that was my day, got to wake up early tomorrow.
