Candidate Journals

Today was open house and I was so happy to be there and meet my brother's and my teachers. My brother's teacher was very nice and she went to the same college as my Dad so he liked her. I have a feeling that Aaron is going to have a lot of  fun this year. My teacher was also very nice and she is teaching me my two favorite subjects, Math and Science. I also have another teacher that is going to teach me Reading and Social Studies. It looks like I am going to have a lot work to do in 5th grade. People say that 4th and 5th are the hardest grade you will go through. I also hope that my brother has a good year too. I think that he will do fine in 2nd grade. I had fun at Open house I can not wait for the...

     Today I went to my new school for the first time. There was a meet and greet for the new kids at 1:30pm and then the Open House was at 6:30pm. There was a tour for all the new students around the school which I didn't know about so I went with my parent to a meeting that was meant for the parents. At the end of it on of my friend who was also new and went on the tour showed me around the school. It was a normal school, a gym, there was 5 hallways, one for 6th grade, one for 7th, one for 8th, one for electives, and one for the cafeteria. At the Open House I got my schedule and I have two friends going to the same grade with me, sad thing is that I only have one class with one of my friends....

Today I woke up and my cousin came over we played around watched some tv then we went in the ool it was really cold after that we made some milkshakes they were pretty good then we played some more then I went on my run.  

This morning I woke up early and finished my physical requirements. After that I went to king Tiger. It was movie day at King Tiger we watched Kung Fu Panda 3. Then I ate lunch and got a lot of questions on my written test done. We opened a nail salon and painted people's nails. I got to paint nails but I had to wait to get mine painted. So I helped out with class and had a mentor and mentee session. After that I had snack and got my nails painted. I showed my mom and Mrs. Evins took the paint off them. I stayed at King Tiger because my mom had to take my sisters to open house. So I played then I took sparring. Then I went home, ran, and ended my day.

Today I went to the new dojang location and cleaned up and the dojang is coming along nicely I am excited to start working there next week. Afterwards I went dog sitting and went to work I'm going to miss these summer days of requirements and work.

Today our ELA teacher had us fill out a syllabus that is all about me.  I tried be creative for every answer and connect it to Star Wars, being the dork I am.  The person I admired most was Luke Skywalker, In my free time I said that I work on expanding my Jedi powers.  I also told her that when I grow up I want to be Luke Skywalker. 

Today I got my haircut and it's nice. And then I did my workout played with the dog and then I went to take kwon do came home and then I went to bed good night

Today, i went to my dads work in the morning. I also ran this morning. Then, I came back and went to my open house. I saw D'andre there. That was my day.

Yesterday, I only had two classes; history and engineering. Today, I had three classes. Those classes were seminar, math and engineering again. All of my classes are in different buildings, so it was difficult to learn where all of the buildings were. The teachers excused late students because of this, but this will change next week. I'm starting to get homework in my classes, so doing requirements is going to be a little interesting from here on.

Today I went to open house, and saw all my friends so that was cool. I finished all of my requirements for today and I have a lot of friends in my homeroom. That's awesome!!!!!

There is this really cool video game called Undertale. You play as a person that falls down a hole and ends up in The Underground. Right after you get into The Underground there is a yellow flower that talks to you and ends up trying to kill you. Then a friendlier, nicer monster shows up and starts calling you 'my child'. There are three paths in Undertale. The genocide route, the pacifist route and the neutral route. The Genocide route is about murdering everyone. The Pacifist route is about keeping everyone alive and getting back to the surface because monsters are trapped in the Underground unless a human saves them. The Neutral route is where you kill some people and don't kill others. My favorite character is Sans the skeleton, sometimes know as Sans the Comic. His little brother Papyrus is actually a lot taller than him cause Sans is really...

Today was blues stripe week which is sparring combinations so we did a lot of drills that combined the stripes. When I helped out, there were two people that were testing so we watched them. One still needed help so I helped hime. He did pretty good, but I think he got nervous so he forgot some. 

Today at summer camp we watched a movie called Kung Fu Panda 3.  It was really funny. We got to play a lot of fun mat games.

Just saw the cycle FB group page extra credit for the 5K - -yippie I will take that.  Still behind in requirements but it will work out- -guess I like to play catch up.  Need to be at office earlier than normal today so off to the funny farm then two non TKD obligations after work tonight. 

Today I worked on requirements all morning and then I went to the ear doctor. Today I heard news I never thought I would hear my ears are actually good and I never thought I would hear that in my life!After the ear doctor my mom and I got lunch and had a nice discussion about college and how the cycle was going. Afterwards I went to work at the dojang and afterwards hung out with friends it was a good day!

Today I woke early and finished my physical requirements. Then I went to King Tiger. While we were at King Tiger we watched the Pokemon movie but we weren't able to finish it. Then we went outside and played with water toys and ate lunch. My cinnamon bun tasted really good today. After that I took class and finished my empathy essay. Then I went across the street to take piano lessons. While I was there I completed a lot of questions on my written test. Later I took black belt class and ended my day.

Today I came back to from our sleepover with madhavan it was very funand then I went to tae kwon do came home and then I went to bed good night

Today at tae kwon do we went to the park and then the plash park then we went back had free time then took class then I left went to my grandmas house and ran.  

Today was the first day of my college classes, and it went very well. My teachers were nice to everyone (even the students who came in late) and the classes were entertaining. Hopefully these will last tomorrow and the days after. I also have a new phone, so I will be able to track how far I travel at school and not round down to two miles every day.

Today I got my haircut and it's a nice fresh cut. My hair feels really spiky. I watched the movie barbershop the next cut. That movie was funny. And tomorrow is my open house.

Today, i  woke up and ran 1 mile. Then, i ate breakfast and then did my requirements. After that, i had lunch and played with my friend for a little while. Then, i went to go help out and take black belt class.

Today was my first day of college, I=it was pretty nice to know that I am now becoming an adult. I was exhausted the entire time due to work last night. When I went to the cafeteria afterwards they had a ton of free pizza which made up for it.

Today  I stayed with my grandma I also helped her clean my grandpa's workout room.

Today I went to King Tiger and had a black belt class. Later I went shopping for stuff to make more cookies.

Today in school, we already got homework in all four cores and it is only the second day of school. I got all of it done. Later, my mom went to my school for back to school night. She got a lot of info for this years school year.

So we just walked down to the pool. We haven't been for a couple months. We haven't gone much this summer. When we got there, we see one or two other families just sitting there so I figured it was adult swim. But actually someone had just thrown up in the pool. So we have to wait two hours before we can swim. I'm fine going back to swim in two hours cause it will be clean by then. So instead we came home and wrote my journal!

Yesterday, the 22nd was rough. My shoulder has been hurting for the past couple of days which has made it hard to fill out my requirements. My mom and Master Chelley have both said to take a couple days off, but I really don't want to fall behind. I'm already behind on some stuff too which is stressing me out even more.

Today I did all of my requirements. I played xbox with my brother and ate lunch. I did my summer reading project after I ate lunch. Then I watched tv for a little while. I played outside and after that I ate dinner. Now I'm going to sleep. Good Night.

Today I got my new skull essay Don and got my school schedule in the mail!! A lot of my friends ate in my homeroom. And I got my plant a few days ago so that's good.

Have you seen Good Mythical Morning? It is a YouTube show by Rhett and Link. They also do a lot of music videos. They do all sorts of challenges and games. They have guests and one time for a song they even had Markaplier. With him, the song was about Five Night at Freddy's. Markaplier was the phone guy but he had a bigger part. In my opinion, I like Link better. I don't know why. I just do. My favorite music video that they've done is between the one I mentioned above and The Rap Battle of Manliness. They are lots of fun. I recommend you check them out. 

Today was my third day of school. I am just glad they have finished explaining the rules because that is always very boring. My school got a new entrance which is always backed up so I hardly get there on time. Since school statuettes, I have been having difficulty jounalibg, but I think I can finish.

Today, i relaxed from my boy scout canoeing trip. We canoed 16 miles. Well, the rest of the day i played with my ffriend and we did some things at my house.

This morning I woke up and finished my physical requirements. Then I went to King Tiger. We went to the park but we left at 11:45. At the park we ate lunch first and then we played. When we got back we took class and had snack. After that we got to play tiger ball. Then I took hyper. After that I went home and ended my day.

Over the weekend, my phone shut off unexpectedly and wouldn't turn back on. Because of this, I am not able to reliably track the distance I am traveling at school. I know that I have walked at least two miles because of the buildings I walked to, but I know that I walked more, and I would've liked to count that distance.

Great BB class tonight!!!  Master Moon nooooooo my body does not stretch that far or bend that way.  Think walking might be a bit of a challenge tomorrow but it's all good - -very good.

Today I stayed with my grandma so I got to help her with stuff around the house.  I also played a song on my guitar for my grandma.

Today I could finally do push-ups again but I am sad because its the 3rd full day of school and we already have homework.

After getting my laptop for the school year and doing my physical requirements  I  invited my  best friend to come over and we had fun doing stuff together and I would like to talk about it. The first thing we did was tell each other what we did this summer. After that I showed her some new stuff I got this summer then we  played some video games. Then we shot some hoops on my new in door basket ball hoop. It is very cool and fun. Anyways we had fun and I really in enjoyed it.Then we chilled around and watched some youtube videos. After she had to go home to get ready for her soccer practice. The fun may be done  but I still have one more thing that I need to tell you. At dinner my Mom made the best dish that I have ever had and I...

Today I woke up went to tae kwon do we then played on the big mat then went to the park and had lunch then we went  back and took class then ate snack and then I went ona run.  

Today I went to my grandmothers house. Later I went to King Tiger and did my requirements and had class. When I got home I made cookies and had a soda. That was my day who was yours?

Today I did my empathy training and went blind. My mom tied a bandanna around my eyes when I woke up this morning. She and my dad have been helping me through my day. Some parts of the day were a lot harder to do, such as eating, doing requirements and doing requirements. I was able to navigate through my house with relative ease, but only because I knew where everything was.

The last couple of days were really crazy. I had family down on Friday and Saturday which caused me to have trouble logging on... But know everything has calmed down and I am keeping on with my schedule and moving forward to the next school year...

     Today my dad made me wake up around 5:45 am. My dad wants me to get ready when school starts, because I have to get ready when school starts. Because my dad wants me to get ready when school, because I have to run in the morning and my school is pretty far from were I am staying. My neighbor also came for Brunch, we had some Indian food. Typical right. I also had Scuba Diving today. It was just practice at a pool, but sometime during October we will be going on a trip to a man-made lake in Virginia. So yeah, that's all for today.

  Today I woke up and had breakfast. I couldn't talk because I did my mute day. My mom ran outside and my dad ran on the treadmill downstairs so I went downstairs. I played with some stuff down there then I ran after my dad. After that I ate lunch and played some video games. Then we went to Target and Petsmart. When we got back I folded my clothes and had dinner. After that I finished my physical requirements and watched the ending ceremony for the Olympics and ended my day.  

Today I woke up and me and my mom had to bring her roommate to work.  Then we went to gastonia which took some time, we were trying to find a kmart but instead we had to go to the kmart in concord.

I found a game on the App store called Flip Diving. It's really cool and 3D and there are tons of cool tricks and divers you can use. I find it cool because it is easy to pick up and binge play. I'm playing it right now and I find it just amazing. Also if you hit on something when you're diving you just go ragdoll which is really funny when your diving. There are four different heights on the first level you dive from. If you hold you will get different angles you can dive at. On the very top I like jumping staright up then hitting the platform again as I come down which won't kill you. If you touch the platform with anything other than you feet you will go ragdoll. Anyway that's Flip Diving...on the app store now. 

today and yesterday I couldn't do push ups because i sprained my wrist bit know i think i sprained my stomach from all the sit ups I did instead of push-ups. 

Today I got my cypress tree. I also finished cleaning my fish tank and had my fish put back in to the tank. I later did my requirements. 

The Sparring seminar was fun and I learned alot during it. Here are some of the thing that we did at them seminar. The first thing we did there where some warm ups. The warm ups worked on speed and moving out of the way when someone is kicking you. After  the warm up we did some kicking combos. Some went like this, cut kick, cut kick, kick to the head, turning side. After a half hour of that we went into sparring a person. Everyone got their gear and then we got paired. Everyone sparred and did well and every one worked very hard. Eveyone did their best.  I had so much fun I would like to do it again. Plus I love the location and I am happy that I got to go. Today I got my cypress plant and it is pretty cool. My brother is going to a friends birthday party at 5 and that gives me a little time alone.

Today I woke up early and did some of my physical requirements. Then I went to Black Belt World Still Creek. There Grand Master Cann gave us tips on how to spar and we sparred. We practiced our kicks then I went home. I ate lunch and did some more physical requirements and my parents went on a date for there anniversary and my grandparents came over. I played on the Xbox and on my ipod. After that I went down stairs and ran a mile. Then I watched a movie and ended my day.

Today was the sparring seminar that I paid $45 for. It was definitely worth the money, as I learned a new way to spar and learned about some techniques I should practice. I also had fun learning learning the techniques with my friends from the North Charlotte, along with new friends from other locations. I honestly expected more people to show up from North Charlotte, but the class was still fairy large nonetheless. 

Today was fun first I went to Grand Master cans for a seminar. then went to my grand parents for my great grandparents birthday.

Today I went to my cousins lake Birthday party then went to the mall went home finished some essays did my requirments and Im going to eat.  

I was looking back on my journal entries and realized that I started the Black Belt Cycle journey about one year ago. I audited the first cycle and dropped the second cycle. Third time's a charm. This is it! I will complete this cycle. Got some requirements done this morning and spent the rest of the day doing some home repairs. 

Today I went to the sparring camp at black belt world. I did drills and sparred. When I got home my mom, my dad, and I cleaned the fish tank and put water in it. This was my day. What was yours?

So my dad and I play a game with a couple sets of bows and arrows. The arrows are padded. It's not a real set. We both have a bow and there a three arrows total. We each have a side and we shoot at each other trying to hit each other. I haven't been using the bow the last couple of times. Instead I have just been dodging when my dad shoots at me. He got me once. And we played for about 45 minutes. Anyway that's the arrow game.  

      Today was pretty boring as usual. It was Saturday so I didn't have to wake up early, but my dad made me run another mile. And as usual all I did today was my requirements and watch TV. My parents had to go looking for apartments today. School is starting soon and my school is about 45 mins from my house so it would take a long time to got there and come back. Also someone has bought our house so we are moving out in about a week. Yeah, and one more thing, it will also take a long time for me to come to Tae Kwon Do. It's going to be difficult for some time, I have to fit my school work and going and coming back from Tae Kwon Do. Well, that's all for today.

Today I went to run two miles. Then I will go to the sparring seminar. I just hope I am not the only one there from King tiger. I wonder how many credits I will get for going. I think it might not be as many as the Kukkiwon Cup, but there will be something. Any amount is great. 

This morning, after I drank my coffee, I had to drive 30 minutes to Gaston College to buy my expensive school books for my first semester of college. After I got home from that I did some requirements and then went to go pick up my friends. During black belt class I was the one who ended up teaching it because Master Chelley was really busy.

Today was a great day. First I went running and did my work out. My puppy did a good job potty training today! And then I started another essay. And finally at the end of the day I did a sparring seminar.

     So today I didn't do much, again. I did all my requirements and watched TV. My parents had to go out to do some shopping so I was stuck with my little sister for about 2 hours. I also went to the AAU Sparring Seminar at Black Belt World. There was about 24 people and only me, D'Andre, and his younger brother Gregory were from King Tiger. D'Andre and me were originally planning on sparring with each other. Then, Grandmaster Cann (She was in charge of the seminar.) said that we were from the same school so we couldn't spare each other. She made both of us and Gregory spare some of these black belts who were pros. The were about maybe 11-13, but the were crazy good. One of the kicked me in the face and I got my lip busted. But, it was good practice fighting kids...

  This morning I woke up early and finished my physical requirements. Then I went to King Tiger. I played with some pokeon cards for a while. Then I Played some games on the mat. After that we made a jail that was comfortable to sit in. Then I played with legos and played my electronics. Later I went home and ended my day.  

tomorrow is a sparing tournament. and I hurt my wrist today so Im risking every thing.

Today I went to the sparring seminar and I learned a lot!! I got to sparr a lot of new people, and it was really fun. I can't wait till the aau tournament.

Today I woke up and ate breakfast then I went to the mall then we went to black belt class and my brother who is also on the cycle taught class then I went home and ate dinner.  

Today at school, we talked about or class schedules. Because of the early college program I’m in, I am taking college classes on the UNCC campus. That means I will be either walking or take the bus to all of my classes. I prefer to walk while I’m on the cycle, but once it’s over I could take the bus every now and then so that I could have some extra time in between classes to study.

Today I stayed at my grandmothers house again. I got a visa debit card and I also went to the doctors office. When I got home I did my requirements and played Pokémon Go.

I have quite a lot of pets.  I have two dogs, two guinea pigs, and five fish.  My dogs names are hero, phinoxe, and beemer.   Beemer is my aunts dog.  My guinea pigs names are marshmellow and popcorn.  My fishes names I cant remember.  Those  were my pets and their names.

Yesterday Holden got braces.  The doctor said that in about a hour it will start to get sore.  I asked Holden if it hurt he that it didn't hurt and the only thing that kind of hurt was the thing that holds your lips apart so that they could put them on.  As the doctor said his teeth did start to get sore.  But this morning he was ok.

Been packing for college the past few days. Super excited and nervous. Moving Day is tomorrow. I've been working on my Essays too as well as my resume. I don't know if i need it for work-study or not but i couldn't hurt.

Today I was able to see my schedule for my final year of high school and like the past four years the schedule was all messed up. I was honestly not surprised that they messed it up... The problem is I asked for early release which is when you get to leave after third block and I did not get it so I am trying to fix it I have emailed my counselor and am waiting from a response. Besides the bad schedule I hung out with friends and we played cards against humanity tonight and I worked on requirements. 

Today at summer camp we went on a nature walk at Reedy Creek park to look for insects.  We found worms and beetles.  I went to Black Belt class today.

Today I went to a friends house and took a CPR class for my new skill. Tomorrow I will start my essay and start the sparring seminar tomorrow. I'm really excited!!????????.

Today I ran and then I did my new skill it was amazing and then I came home then I went to bed good night

Today, i woke up early and ran 1 mile. Then, i did my requirements. Then, i went to the pool with my friend. I did not want to swim, so i watched. Then, i went to help out in the family class. Then, i took black belt class.

     Today I woke up early and went for a run. My dad didn't want me sleeping in again like yesterday. I mean at least I didn't have to run in the afternoon. After I came back home a took a shower and went back to sleep. I woke up around 12pm and had breakfast. The rest of the day I was doing my requirements and watching TV. There has been absolutely nothing to do since everything in my house has been moved, since we are moving. That's all for today.

  Today I woke up early and finished my physical requirements. Then I went to King Tiger. We had a field trip to go to Reedy Creek Nature Center. They taught us about insects. I got to pick up a millipede called a cherry bug. It felt weird touching it and it smelled like cherries. We also saw a red horned and house centipede. Later we went back to King Tiger. I played with pokemon and went home to eat. Later I took black belt class and ended my day.  

 I was at my grandmothers house for the night and I had the best time of my life. My brother and I had fun when we were at my grandmothers. We talked a lot about what we did this summer and a bit about school. Later we had to get picked up by my Mom. When we got to the house I did the Physical Requirements.  I also  worked with my brother while I was doing the requirements. He worked on his poomsae, self defense and kicks.After that we relaxed until class and sparring. Sparring worked us hard but we all thoughed it out and got through it. Me and my brother are still really tired from sparring. Sparring is  fun and tiring but I still love it. Thank you for reading and good night.

Still out of sorts but will get it together.  Had a great class tonight of sparring - - -Inst. Hsin loves sparring- - - he was thinking Olympic Circles and I think I went thru his Olympic Circles a thousand times backwards, forwards, sideways and upside down.  Great class!!!

Today at summercamp we went to the firestation then took class and used staffs then I did my requirments and went on a run went home ate dinner and went on another run

Beautiful fulll moon this morning. Unfortunately, on my run, I noticed that someone had broken into my neighbor's car by breaking out the window.  They were surprised to see me all sweaty at their door at 5:30 AM telling them about their car. Another jogger said he saw another car with the window broken in the next neighborhood.  I'll have to do my empathy training another weekend. Can't drive to Winston for church with one arm tied down. It will have to be another weekend. Busy day in the OR today. Missed black belt class. It is ok because I am too sore and tired from work to perform well tonight.  

Today for summer camp we went to a fire station to show the kids all the things the firemen use to put out fires, and everything else they do. After we got back we did summer camp class, with staffs.After class I did some requirements before regular classes started. I did requirements throughout some of the classes and during sparring.

There is a really cool stickbot series called Off the Grid. It's about a sheriff whose police force is disbanded after all of the kidnaps of stickbots on the grid. The governor of the grid installed new security robots so nobody could get in. But what the governor didn't want the sheriff to know is that there is a world outside of the grid. An old friend helped the sheriff find a cave where he met Shift. Sheriff's name is Striker. Shift told Striker they were in an old tunnel that they could use to leave the grind. They go down a bit and reach a place they can camp for the night. Shift sets up sentry defenses and Striker was ok with it. And that is as far as I've gotten in the series. It's on Youtube and the person that makes it is Stickbot Central, the most famous stickbot animator...

Today I stayed at my grandmothers house. I ate mayflower and had a slow day. Later I came home and got the mail. I found out my new bus number and that it is coming to my house. I also found out who my home room teacher is.

Today was my first day back in school. I am officially a sophomore at Lake Norman Charter. I enjoyed my classes and my teachers were pretty cool but after reading syllabuses all day, it got boring. I really want to stay organized with my schoolwork and I need to figure out a plan to balance out school, Tae Kwon Do, clubs, church and volunteering. I'm going to be jam packed this year!

Today I worked summer camp in the morning and while it was a hard day I always enjoy working summer camps. After that I came home and worked on requirements and watched the taekwondo on the Olympics.

Today, i woke up early and ran 1 mile. Then, i did my requirements and then had breakfast. Then, i went to my friends house to play. We watched the Olympic semifinal soccer match. It was Brazil vs Honduras. Brazil won   6-0. Then, i played on the Xbox for a little while. Then i went to go take sparring at the North Charlotte location. We practiced some sparring drills. Then, i helped out with the family class. There were some new people there, so that was cool. Then, i went to go get a hair cut. i like it a lot. Then me and my dad went to Harris Teeter to get batteries.

     Today I slept in a little, I woke up around 12pm. I probably would have slept a little longer, but my family had to go see our new house that is getting built. Today they were doing some inspections before they put the dry wall in so we had to be there. There was some few problems, but that was all. We were there for maybe more than 2 hours. Other than that I didn't do much. The rest of the day I was doing my requirements. Since I slept in I had to run in the afternoon and it was pouring. So that is all. 

  This morning I woke up and finished my physical requirements. Then we went to King Tiger. We watched a movie at King Tiger. We watched the Angry Birds movie it was my first time watching it. It was a really good movie. After that I helped out with class. Later I played tiger ball. After that I took sparring class. There was a big storm. My dad picked me up and we watched the firefighters put out a fire. Then we got a card for my parent’s anniversary. My dad got a fruit bouquet and roses. When I got home I ate the fruit bouquet and ended my day.  

Today I stayed at a my grandmother's house. Later in the evening I did the rest of my requirements. This was my day. What was yours?

Today at Taekwondo we watched a movie then we went to the park took class and then I went on a run then left.

Although there is full moon in the evening and early night,  it is gone around 5:30AM when I am running. I was looking forward to running during the  full moon. Keeping up with requirements as best I can.

Today at King Tiger we watched a movie called Animals United. It was a goofy movie about animals in Africa who relayed on water from an oasis everyday. But one day the water didn't come. Little did the animals know that humans had made a damn and a hotel upstream from where they drank their water. Unless they went through the Valley of Death, the only water they could get to was the rhino and buffalos' water hole which kept getting smaller. A meerkat went to get the water and he walked between an arguing buffalo and rhino. They both saw him fill up his water jug and they asked him what he was doing. He didn't get away with the water and got beat pretty badly. Then he went through the Valley of Death and went to see if he could make it to where the humans had damned the water. You'll...

today i mostly just hung out with my friends at the pool and swimming and playing a lot of games which was fun to do and a lot of my friends were back in town.

Today was Raven day at my new middle school.  Raven Day is where all of the new sixth graders meet their teachers and classmates.  I met all of my teachers and some new friends.  After that my mom dropped me off at my grandmas house.  I helped her clean the house.  After that my dad picked me up and took home.  

Today I am doing my workout. I started with a good breakfast of eggs hash browns turkey bacon and a strawberry banana smoothie. Next I am going to start on my book report. Yesterday we rented Angry Birds and it was hilarious. I also had a mentor session.

Today I did all of myour requirements and tomorrow I am going to maybe take a CPR class for my new skill.
