Hi guys today I will be talking about today and how I played outside. first I ran my mile of course. after that I played tag with my friends then came inside to write this journal
Hi guys today I will be talking about today and how I played outside. first I ran my mile of course. after that I played tag with my friends then came inside to write this journal
hey again guys, I just wanted to say thank you to Asa for saying what he did, it lifts my spirits that you think of me that way Asa thank you. Anyway, This week has been pretty busy for me, so far, on Monday I woke up at 6:30 to go and work with summer camp, then on Tuesday, I woke up at 5:00 in the morning to do requirements and go work in the summer camp. Today was slower, I woke up at 7:30 and ate breakfast, got my requirements done, and played some videogames so everything is good. After my gaming time, me and Jack went to go to a Chiropractor appointment and got ourselves fixed up and fine tuned, plus, we still have like 25 free visits there, might as well use them. When we got back, I played some more games then went to work. I started...
Today when I woke up I had a good breakfast. I went to Champions and did all my requirements. My sister, my sitter and I went to Lake Norman putt-putt mini golf. I didn't get a hole in 1, but I did get some in 2. After that we got a snow-cone and came home. I went to Taekwondo and did a mentee session. Have a great day tomorrow everyone!
Hello everyone, I was same routine as I do everyday, wake up, eat workout, repeat. Today I had the same cereal, and went to the gym to do my exercises. I like doing exercises because it can help you get stronger and show you places that you need to improve, It can also help do things you never thought you could do. Then we went to a farmers market outside our gym, we got some tomatoes and spices for skin. Once we got home I played some games, hung around my house, and then went to TKD. As usual, I helped with the first class and took the next one, I was able to get stuff marked off and
Good afternoon, I just started my requirements for the day. I have a Back Belt class. I also got started on my essay on Atomic Habits by James Clear. Hope everyone is doing good.
I'm up and doing some of my physical requirements. I'm still struggling with pull ups / hanging for a few reasons......1. I played soccer, so no upper body strength. 2. Due to health conditions, I've never been permitted to do pull ups...maybe a resister band would help? I've also ordered a pair of 'Altra' running /walking sneakers. I hope these help with my knee and having to use the sidewalk. I really don't want to waste money at a gym. Few more requirements and off to camp to meet with my mentee. I'm so proud of her! She knows the first 10 steps to her poomsae and can do it on her own! She is also beginning to remember numbers 1-3 in her self defense. Better yet, she gave me a hug and thanked me for helping her!!! 🤗
Hi King Tiger. Have been away in NY. Missed a few journals but doing one today. The weather is great and getting good runs in with my daughter (Lexi) and Nate. The elevation is not terrible but we found a few crazy hills. I think we are going hiking today as well. Love NY this time of year. Back to NC tomorrow. Take care.
Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was a good day. My requirements are starting to build on me again, and sometimes I feel so sore that it's just numb at that point. I am starting to focus more on the technique and form of my requirements than just knowing them. After finishing only 2 of my civics course assignments, I headed to TKD. As usual, I helped out with summer camp, and then classes started. On my way back home, my brother loves to do random things in the car, and we had a lot of fun with that. Today, I woke up pretty early, and I'm about to start finishing my civics assignments. I'm going to say I will never take an online course again, but I'll probably end up taking one. Later today, we will probably go out since it's my dad's birthday, and I will finish my requirements sometime today....
Each day is a huge achievement. I was able to get some requirements done after work, but could not run because I broke my treadmill. The soreness went down a notch and I was relaxed for most of the day. Had lots of protein. I also spent some time entertaining the wife and kids today.
I feel like I have spent the whole day sweaty. Took Samuel to an appointment this morning and while I was waiting for him to finish up I worked on requirements in the waiting room (it was just Rachael and me there so I didn't have to be concerned about being stared at). Then we went to the gym for an hour of spin class, then home to try and cut the grass before it rained. It looked like the clouds were building a bit so I asked the kids if they wanted to go to the pool before the storms hit. So more sitting outside, covered in sweat, with little pieces of grass in my hair and over my skin. Then helping with class, taking class and PMAA class after that. I had forgotten just how sweaty you can be ALL. DAY. LONG.
Today was just another repetition of yesterday. I’ve officially accepted that the rest of my days will look like this. The requirements have kicked my butt and every now and then it hurts to move.
Tuesdays always the long day, made my way to TKD to help out with the 8-12yr old class for a credit. Then took the advanced and pma class. We worked on my breaking kick (Hurricane back kick) and did some good stick drill. Practiced my German and finished up my essays when I got home.
I woke up today and did more requirements, then headed to class today to do leadership credits. After class, I did a mentor session with Master Marcus for 2nd Dan self-defense. Unfortunately, our WiFi went out, so we’re left without most of our tech working for a while.
Ah, yes, Tuesday. This is the "long" day, even outside of the Cycle. Today I got a bunch of work done for work and finished up my physical requirements before we headed down to the dojang. I helped with class, then took color belt class, and then we had PMAA. Master Evins is focusing primarily on kicks this week as review so we got paired up and the Bo-Chos got to start working on their hurricane back kicks. I'm often reminded that I wish I had started this when I were younger and it was easier to do things but that just makes me relish the fact that we did start when we did and we're still active. As Master Weeks often says, it's better to hurt from doing martial arts than to hurt just from trying to get up off the couch. Then after PMAA, I worked with my mentee...
Do to the nature of when i work i'm struggling to find the time to do all the requirements daily. I work 3rd shift so i typically go to sleep around 9:30 in the morning and sleep until 5:30pm. Get up make dinner for my wife and kid then head to class. After class I shower and then log into work at 11pm. There is a gap there between about 8 and 10:30 but having not been a person who exercises this much i'm not sure how to do more when i'm so worn out from class? I log off at 7am but during the summer with no school this is the time between 7 and 9am when i get to interact with my son the most. On top of that all of this construction and mold remediation going on in my house isn't helping with trying to get a routine down...
Today was the last full day of vacation in the Adirondacks, New York. I have really enjoyed this vacation. A few highlights from today was going out on the boat and quickly turning back because it started down poring. I also did a run workout with my sister, it was good, except I ate it on a hard turn since the roads were soaked; got myself a nice mark on my hip, luckily I did an amazing side fall. I also saw the new Twister movie in this old and antique cinema. Overall, this trip has been amazing and I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
I was able to get some requirement done, Leadership 1 & 2 , a session with my mentor, TKD class and PMAA class. I can do no more. My Mom records Jeopardy on my work days. Right now, I got the ice packs on my knees, top and bottom, and I am enjoying the shows. Have a goodnight, everyone!
Today was an amazing day!! I went to taekwondo and I hung out with my puppy. I also played with my friends. I hope everyone had a terrific Tuesday and tomorrow will be a wonderful Wednesday. Good night!!! P.S. Today is national lemon and Grandma day!!! ~Magnolia~
Today I woke and did my essay and school. Then I took a run with my dog Wesley. Then I went over to my friends house. Then we decided that we wanted to have a sleepover then we took a another run. Now I am done for the day.
Today was another busy day. First woke up at 9:38 and surprisingly flyn slept till 1:00 in the afternoon. Also flyn stayed up waching chaso. Then we worked on our requirements and then we went to taekwondo then went to do our run then came home and have dinner.
Today I went to the Chiropractor and got myself adjusted for my shoulder that has been hurting for a little while, it started to feel better after a little bit. Then of course knowing the type of person I am, reinflamed my shoulder and now is hurting a little bit. Other than that it was just a usual day with doing requirements and all sorts of fun things. Then I went to work where I helped out with classes and did the rest of my requirements. Over all it was an exciting and very fun day.
I woke up very late today- 12:00 pm! then i started some of my requirments. then i played fortnite a litttle bit and also vr. then we went to taekwondo to finish my requirements and get a mentee session. but i had trouble breathing on the run. it was a good day.
Today, I went to my sister's eye checkup in the morning. After the checkup, I ate lunch and completed my requirements. I then assisted a junior tiger class and attended a senior tiger class. After the classes, I ran for one mile and created a rough draft of my role model essay. Have a good evening.
Today was harder sense today I did no electronics for the challenge I went out to the pool and was there for a couple hours then we went down to the beach and came up about a couple hours later then did some exercise and listened to a new jack white album. Good night
Today I did my workout in the morning and ran in the afternoon after that I went to king tiger and did mini golf and got a hole in 1 I was happy and then I did my classes and punches and kicks and did a mentor session.
Hello everyone, I am writing this journal 8:40 PM so I bet some of you are asleep. But today I woke up the and had breakfast and went to the gym, same as yesterday. But when I am running my miles I can see improvement so that is good. I was able to finish my exercises and get better, then when we got home I rested played a little bit of video games watched Batman V.S. Superman, good movie in my opinion. (Batman is my favorite.) then I had lunch was able to hang out in my house and play games. After that we went to TKD and assisted the first class and took the next one. I got stuff crossed off there and had fun. Then once we got home I went to a Church activity and was able to talk to missionaries that I had not seen in years...
This week has been super busy with work, so it's been a challenge fitting everything in, but still keeping it manageable. My shins are still hurting, but I got some better running shoes, so hopefully that helps.
The highlight of my day is reading Evan Trogdon’s journals because it just lifts my spirits because he is happy all the time. Also love reading about a puppy named Fred. Just got back from NC and I am prepared to catch up on requirements, journals, and tracking. Goodnight everyone.
Today i was at camp for most of the day but i left camp a little early so i can get my requirements done. It was easier then yesterday so thats good. Looking forward for tomorrow so i can knock that out. Got my poomsae and self defense done and did my kicks also. I'm going to get a mentor tomorrow and probably a mentee too. okay i'm done now.
I went to camp today and we did a contest with exercises so I got some requirements done. In like an hour I have basketball practice.
today I went to a sports camp which we do football, basketball and other sports in, and we went to freedom park to have some fun there. Then when we came back I went outside to play basketball and work on my skills. then I came home and now I'm getting ready to go
Good afternoon, Just got finished doing my requirements for the day. Got to see my Grandma today also. Good luck.
Good afternoon to everyone, average day in the cycle. A lot of sweat maybe even some blood and tears. Make sure to do everything that you need to do in the following days, try not to fall behind, it adds up!
It's another wonderful day if blackbelt cycle. I think in-between lunch and snack at camp, I might be able to get some of my physical requirements in. I also need to find a pair of running / walking sneakers with support. All the sneakers I have are not working. I'm almost done with my required reading. So I will be able to write that essay soon. I will also be done with my nutrition challenge at the end of July, however, I think I may keep adding / trying new foods. Off to feed all the furniture babies then camp.
Travel Troubles. I'm supposed to be in Iowa, but I'm back home. I spent my afternoon and evening yesterday waiting at the airport for a plane that never left. Thankfully I finished all the physical requirements before I left, although I did think about doing some pushups while waiting. There were so many people, the most I've ever seen in CLT. Now to get started with todays activities!
Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was a good day. After finishing most of my requirements, I went to TKD. I helped out with summer camp for a bit, and then classes started. Sometimes the classes seem to go by so quickly, which surprises me at times. I got a mentor session in yesterday with Master Natasya and got in a weekly black belt class. I had a lot of fun in the 2nd and higher class, since I finally learned number 6 of the 3rd Dan 1-Step. Today, I woke up around 5:15, but I decided to stay in bed until 6. I came downstairs and started finishing my civics assignments for today and yesterday, since I only had time to finish 2. Hopefully, I can finish my assignments and requirements before I head to TKD today. Have a wonderful day!
Hey, guys, how's it going? I'm tired, very tired. Yesterday was CRAZY, I mean like I got up at like 6:30 in the morning (which is early for me) and since my brother is doing a different summer camp, I was dropped off at 7:30. Anyway, my work started at 8:00 AM and ended at 3:00 PM. When I got home, I played an hour and thirty minutes of videogames then went back to TKD, and helped with a class and took the next. After we got back, I did my exercises, and I ate dinner then went into my Korean study lesson to learn the language. After the lesson, I went and finished my requirements, and played another hour of videogames. This morning I woke up at 5:00 in the morning and went to run 2 miles at the Rec center and finish my requirements for the day, now I...
Finish the physical requirement for today. Cooling off with some stretches, I haven’t been consistent and while I can still do a split, I can definitely feel the difference. I started working on my physical requirements yesterday (7/22) Around 10pm. I finished around midnight, but I took a break and decided to finish some of my physical requirement for today. I’m glad I did, that means I have more time this even to do other things. I’m worried about progressing, especially as a taekwondo practitioner. A lot of the advancements I want to make or things I have to work on on my own to an extent. I want to have more explosive powers with my jumps, I want to have more strength and control of my kicks. That’s not something that’s easy to get in class, if I’m not really working on it. It’s in the cycle be panicking about things like thats,...
I went to the eye doctor in the morning and my vision was blurry for a few hours from the dilation drops. I was able to knock out requirements during that time though, so it wasn’t too unproductive. Headed to the dojang to help out with class in the evening.
This morning I worked on my Pomsae and exercises with my Dad. We went to the park and ran a mile and my time is getting better. After my agility training we finished my exercises and I was really tired. Today was a good day and I’m getting stronger from doing so many pushups and burpees.
Requirements are difficult on workdays. When I got home this morning, I did not feel like doing anything but managed to get some things done before sleeping. Stiffness kicks in very fast when I am not mobile. This cycle is really making me feel my age and it is only the second week. Goodness gracious!
Today is the actual start of the week. I am still sore, but it’s nothing much. It was hard doing the requirements, so I did some, as overdoing it would make it worse.
I woke up early and went down to the beach with my family then went up to the pool and relaxed then played games then did my exercise then the rest of the day I was tired then I played Skip-Bo with my family. Good night.
Woke up exceptionally sore this morning. I think I was more sore this morning than I was on Sunday. I think it's all worked itself out just from all the everyday cycle stuff. That's one of my favorite non-Taekwondo things I've learned from doing this - you might be sore in the morning but once you get moving, all the lactic acid will clear out and you won't feel too bad other than just general muscle soreness. I got my daily physical requirements done at home and worked on the other stuff at the dojang before helping with class. I finally got a chance to do a session with my mentee; he seems really excited about getting some extra help and tricks and tips.
Got up early to practice my German and do my run, then i went to bed again. go up about 5:30 and went to 6:30 class for a leadership credit.
I was so tired after the pre test that i neglected to blog this past weekend. The pre test was tough as i had not run that much in probably 20 years. Stairs were definitely a problem this past weekend. Still trying to find a rythm and and way to fit in all the requirements every day and week.
I guess my day is really just starting. I got off work at 8 AM, You’re so busy last night I didn’t get to work on my requirements. Then I took a quick cat nap and went to witness my friends marriage. Then I went back home I took another cat nap. Then I woke up and went to taekwondo. I work with my mentees on how the properly prep blocks and punches in poomsaes. I remember when Master Natasya and Marcus started drilling on it with adult and higher belts. But I can see that they worked really hard on drilling so that every student works on it. That’s amazing, cause I definitely see the improvement in how strong our students can be. So much potential! I remember when we first started working on them, and my poomsaes improved so much. Then I came home and took another nap. So...
I feel like I’m struggling because of the soreness. I find myself cheating with a lot of the kicks and forms, not hanging the leg, no chambering, sloppy stances, and almost no lift when doing jump kicks. Just feels like my body is about to explode after the jump rope and burpees. Nonetheless, I had completed another daily requirement and made sure I learned something new today as usual. Prepping and longing for when I do feel stronger.
Today was a very busy day. First, Keleigh and I went to tutoring, then I got some requirements done with Flynn. Then we went home to get changed for the pool, after that we came home and got ready for taekwondo. After that Flynn and I went to go on our run.
Today we went to the library and did our requirements at the park. Then we left and ate lunch then went to the pool. We then went to taekwondo to help out and finish our requirements. Then we took class and had a mentor session after and also a mentee. Then finished our run and ate sloppy joes for dinner. It was a good day.
Today, I finished all of my requirements before attending my black belt class. At the class, I lead the kicks for a leadership credit. After the class, I ate dinner and ran outside for 1.3 miles. I will try to assist a class tomorrow. Have a good evening.
I hope everyone had a marvelous Monday and tomorrow will be a terrific Tuesday! Today I woke up and a breakfast while I played with My puppy Fred! I got dressed and got ready for the day when I went back downstairs I found Fred waiting for me in the living room! Went upstairs and me And Fred hung out until lunch time. We ran around. He ate some of his toys, and I rubbed his belly at one point he was asleep laying in my lap. My lunch and then me and Fred continued to hang out. I even taught him how to walk up the stairs. I got ready for taekwondo and my mom took me there. I helped out at the 5:15 class and took the 6 o’clock class. I hope everyone had a marvelous Monday!!! Good night Everyone and I hope tomorrow it terrific!!! P.S. Today is...
Went to my brothers basketball practice and ran 3 miles super sore going to do some requirements then go to bed
So today I got up and went on a walk with my family and later I went to taekwondo and helped out with the class and then did my mentor session and that's about it
I woke up happy Because today is Monday and tomorrow, I’m going to Kiki‘s house she is our babysitter and we get to help out with her grandchildren. Their names are Callie and Ellie and they’re so cute. And two more days till my birthday I can’t believe it’s on sparring class, but that would be some fun today. We helped out with two classes And went home. And then did Some requirements and then had hotdogs for dinner and that’s how my day went.
Hello day 2 and i forgot to mark my class off oopsies. i'm sad but now i know what i have to do. nothing really happened today besides me going to camp. park was fun. i had mash potatoes for dinner. This was my 2nd week of camp becuz i was in florida and i didn't go the other 3 weeks. I'm feeling like i'm ready to go do my pretest because i have to make it up since i was in florida. okay i'm done now.
Today I woke up and went on a run. Then I did the rest of my requirements. I also did some yoga and stretching. After that I did my schoolwork and my essay. Then I went to the pool and played with my sister. Then I came home and watch a movie. Then I went to teakwondo and did two classes. Then I went to publics to get dessert which we don’t normally do! So I was excited then I ate dessert and dinner now I am done for the day!
Today I woke up at my breakfast and then I did some pull-ups and then they ate pizza for Lunch and then I did all my requirements. Then we went to taekwondo. We helped out Two classes and then left we were gonna have tacos for dinner but something happened so we ate hotdogs and then we did a Grit workbook it was so much fun and then we went for a mile run and that’s my day I’ll write tomorrow about my day because tomorrow I’m going over somebody’s house
Hello everyone, today I was able to sleep in and feel refreshed. Then after I got up I had some breakfast then went to the gym, at the gym I ran my mile and did my exercises and some weight stuff too. Then once I got back I read my book and cleaned my room, then after that I was able to play video games. After that, we went to Tae Kwon Do and I was able to assist class and get that marked off. Once that class was over I was in the next one and practiced my stuff. I was also able to get a mentor session in and I got taught circles, Then we went home and I took the garbage out came inside changed clothes and then wrote this. I hope everybody had a Magnificent Monday, Bye.
Today I went to king tiger and did my workout early in the morning. At king tiger we watched a movie trolls which was decent after that I got picked up early to go get my school computer then I we went to pick up my sister and go home.
Good morning, body has stopped being sore. Still catching up with everything from last week.
My body feel great! A lot of sweat though. We are all getting very used to this cycle, it can be fun at times too.
Good morning all !! I purchased a pull up bar that I can all do my situps and push ups with!! I did my hang this morning...no where near a minute (more like 10 seconds). I'm trying to remember how to do situps with the bar, so I'll do them at camp. I'm going to meet with my mentee today, review the first 10 steps of her poomsae and the first two of her self defense. I'll also add the 3rd self defense as well. Keep pushing !! We are already on week 2 !!
Good morning, everyone! This morning, I woke up and am currently writing this. This week, I am planning to take it slow and relax for my requirements since this is the last week I am taking my civics course. Even though that course was something, I am glad I pushed through it and never gave up on it. I am going to head to TKD in the afternoon to help out with summer camp for a little, and then help out with the classes. Have a wonderful day!
It was nice meeting up at the park this morning. We practiced Hapkido, stick forms and blue belt self- defense….until the rain started. Hoping to do that again real soon. It was very helpful.
I woke up still feeling sore from yesterday, I practiced my poomsae and self defenses then used the treadmill. I did try stretching my whole body after that, still feel it buts it is subsiding a little.
Started my essays for bocho, glad i have time. The actual start of the cycle feels like its happening, and things are getting harder.
Got up really sore but went to the park to practice anyway. It was great to practice with others as you can get help with attacking/defending/vicarious learning/teaching all in the same setting. After practice went home and did most of the rest of the requirements, but had to finish some later because Samuel went to Mikey's birthday party. For the North Charlotte people-yes, THAT Mikey. Tall, always happy, cool kid. We actually got to play dodge ball with the kids which was fun. Went home and did some meal prepping for the week. Meal prepping is important when a) you're allergic to a lot of things and b) you are at the dojang until pretty much bedtime.
This week will be busy and the house will be full. My friend will be staying the week and my grandparents made it in today. I did get my requirements in. However this rain is making challenging. Need to think more on my essays. Since we have a full house this week, I may practice my new skill.
Up early for a run and early start on the requirements. Another day of no electronics. It is nice to just put the phone away and focus on whatever I’m doing. Got some essays worked on and finished up my
This morning we got up and went to the park to practice. We stayed until the rain made it untenable. It's always good to practice with some other people and exchange questions because there's always more to know and improvements to be made. I feel pretty good about most of the things I know - the main issue is all the things I haven't learned yet. Unfortunately, we've spent most of the day tired and sore. I feel like every muscle around my neck and collarbones is trying to seize up all at the same time. Somehow it's worse than last night even though we're more than 24 hours removed from the pre-test. A hot shower and a good night's sleep should help.
Today is a short one. I am at vacation still and I like it here but it’s harder to get things done but I’m still ahead on everything. Good night
I completed half my daily requirements in the morning, joining Master Deje and company in an early workout at the . I was sore all day long and struggled to complete the rest of my requirements later in the evening. Muscles feel a little better with the evening workout, and now I’m just hoping for a sound sleep.
Today I woke up to my sister and her friend being so loud!!! But after that I went on a 2 mile run. Then I did the rest of my requirements. Then I went to the pool and got Kona ice! Then my other sister’s friend came over and I played Pokémon on my Nintendo. After that I did a creepy dance and I was a zombie and well I was doing that I was also practicing my roles and falls. I scared my mom, dad, sisters and friends!!! It was fun! Then I watched a movie. Now I am done for the day.
Hope everyone had a special Sunday For a marvelous Monday! I had an entire long paragraph right now, but then it somehow disappeared. So now I’m gonna make this very short. Today went over to my friends house and I hadn’t seen her in forever so it was amazing year since school ended! We did war balloons and war guns and after that we ate dinner and watched a movie! The movie and we hung out with her brother and his friends that he invited over until my mom came to pick me up. When I got home, I hung out with Fred my puppy and hung out with my Family! Good night everyone and I hope tomorrow will be a marvelous Monday for all! P.S. Today’s national ice cream day!!! ~Magnolia~
Yesterday we went to Clemson so we could pick up my sister from soccer camp. We stayed in a hotel last night. We walked my dog, Sammie. We played in the pool - it was so big. I ate breakfast at the egg restaurant and then watched Taylor play soccer. I got to see the college room she stayed in. When we picked her up we went lunch and I got a hamburger. When we got home I did some chores and cleaned my room. We ate dinner and played the game Clue. After Clue I got ready for bed. Have a great day!
Today was mostly uneventful and relaxing. I did, however, finally buy a pull up bar and posted the video of me hanging on it for as long as I could. I completed all of my requirements except for running, for it was raining outside all day. I will try to start working on my role model essay tomorrow. Have a good evening.
So I am staying with my friend Declan, who is also on the cycle, for week 2, and today was good. we woke up and played on our vr a little bit , and then had lunch. Then, around 2 pm, we started and finished our requirements. Unfortunately, it's raining, so we will have to do two miles tomorrow. But today was good. Edit- It stopped raining so we went to run, but we got there at 9 pm. Socks are wet because we accidentally went through a big puddle.
Good afternoon, everyone! I've been so busy and tired after pre-test, as my body is completely sore. I am very happy with how I did during my pre-test and will continue to get better throughout the cycle. I am about to take a class and head to sleep soon. Have a wonderful day!
today I went outside am played basketball, then I took a shower went inside and watched inside out 2
Today is my first entry and i'm kinda excited knowing that i have something to do everyday. This might be a little hard because i'm not the best at remembering things and i have to remember to do this and everything else in my book but i think i'll be fine. I know i'll try my best, considering all my parents have done, and work hard. Thats really all i had to say so i'm done for now.
Staying home and having a rest day. I'm planning on taking a nap soon after some reading, but I'll see what I feel like doing.
I was able to go skating around Southend today with a group of friends. It was nice and the weather was great too. I'm really happy my boyfriend, Trent, joined us. He only just started skating but was able to handle the streets/outdoors really well. I caught up with tracking but I'm going to make more of an effort to track daily, it just tough. I usually always on the go, when I finally do stop, it cause I'm sleeping. I've been journaling posting on my phone when I catch a break. Because of the ride to Leland yesterday, I was able to catch up on all the shows I fell behind on. But an effort needs to be made.
Today we woke up and had breakfast, I had my favorite cereal and I got in my suit and went to church. I passed the sacrament because I am old enough to do that. Then I went to Sunday school because it is the third Sunday this month and I was able to join my older brothers class. Then after church I made macaroni cheese for me and my brothers and then we started playing Dungeons and Dragons. I was the Dungeons master and that is when you and your family or friends characters are playing the game but the DM knows what is going to happen. Finally I did my exercises and then watched a movie, that is my day, Bye.
Today we went to church, and I was able to learn some really cool stuff about our religion. When we got home, we played some Dungeons and Dragons. I was not the Dungeon Master, but I was having a good time. we played for about three hours, which is not the longest I've played before, the longest I've played nonstop is like eight hours, but nonetheless, it was really fun. Not much else has happened today, but I hope everybody has a good week and I hope we can get all our stuff done in time. Anyway, see you guys later and I hope you have a great Sunday, bye!
Hi, I know its been a few days since I did my last blog. I was at a church camp. It was a great time. Met a lot of good people, got a girlfriend, (check Hickory Grove Baptist Church Facebook page for photos) and had good sermons. I also went to church today (we did a sermon on Mark 14). Got some of my requirements done. Time for a catch up week
Good morning Got up and went to the park. Practiced some stick forms, hapkito self defense, blue self defense..then it started raining. Going to have something to eat, then start on my daily physical requirements.
Made it through week 1, pretty on track. Have to catch up on jumprope, as I just purchased mine a couple of days ago. Pretest went pretty well. My shins are sore from running, and I'm hoping they get better with time. It's getting easier not to eat in the middle of the night. Creating new, better habits.
Anyone else just stupid sore? 🤣 I was proud of myself with how I did at pretest. Trying to stay focused even though my body hurts a lot.
Hi King Tiger. At the airport. Heading to NY for a few days. Visiting family. Book is in the bag and will be working on requirements. Yesterday was good inspiration and ready for cycle. Plan to work on essays as well. Have a great Sunday! Take care.
I just woke up this morning and started this journal. I'm waiting till my parents wake up so I can run a few miles to catch up. Yesterday after my basketball game I only did requirements like push ups, sit ups, burpees, jump rope, poomsaes, self defense, and kicks.
I woke up at around 5am and headed to the track at 5:30am. My run was around 40 minutes, which is better than I thought I would do for 4 miles. The rest of the pre-test went pretty smooth for me. I got a decent portion of requirements done then, so there was only so much more to do at home.
We had a cycle students class today, and it was very exciting. I had completed my trial cycle test in January, so I only went in for the usual weekend class. It was nice seeing everybody again, still it was surprising to see so many champions on the cycle. I also completed half of my daily cycle requirements today.
To make sure we had enough time to get our three miles in we had to get up at 4 am. I know that may sound a bit extreme, but keep in mind I needed to drive 25 minutes to get to the track after waking up after five hours of sleep, plus making sure we are, got Samuel in the car, and made sure he had food and drinks. It was very dark when we got there, and there was only Instructors Courtney and Lisa there as far as I could tell in addition to us. It is very pretty to watch the sun come up and see more and more folks join us on the track. I was surprised to see John join in the run. He said he had gotten up at 2 am and walked to the track so he could participate. Testing seemed to go well...
Today was the pre-test. We got up very early to make certain we got to the track with enough time to get our twelve laps (three miles) in before everyone else was done. Then off to the dojang for the rest of it and then class. Then it was home, errands, lunch, etc, with a break for requirements. I'm starting to feel more comfortable with staff form 3 but I don't think it's fully locked in just yet. Now off to bed and we'll see what tomorrow brings.
Today was the pre-test, part 2. This one was more to see how the last cycle faired out, but I feel I did fairly well. The rest of the day was spent mainly relaxing and hanging out with family. We saw Inside Out 2, which was not great, but not terrible (5/10). I did some more requirements and got ahead knowing the travels that await me tomorrow could slow me down on requirements.
So today was the pretest, as you all know. As there is room for improvement, I think I did fairly well. I messed up a bit on poomsaes, but did pretty well on the run and other things. See you guys at THE test.
Today was the pre-test I woke up earlier than most to get started on my run on the track and managed 3.1 miles. The hardest part for me was the v-ups and pushups which I'll get better at before the end. I was sore afterwards and when I got home I crashed into bed.
The pre-test is completed. Yay! However, there is a lot more to go. The written test from Grandmaster Evins was SO random. I was definitely expecting other questions. Once I got home, I videoed the pull-up portion right away because I did not want to forget. I ate cinnamon raisin granola and yogurt and fell asleep watching ID on the couch. It was a good nap.
I’m satisfied with the pre-test. I did as well or better than I did in the spring. Some of my taekwondo knowledge needing reviewing. It took me so long to remember an answer to a question. After the test, the Charlotte portion of the king tiger demo team headed to Leland. Work a lot on jumps and improving our showmanship with kicks. So excited for demo performance in November. I got to practice my backwalk over and I successfully did one! Heading back to Charlotte.
