Today was picture day at school, I think the photographer did good for my pictures. I'm not going to TKD today we've had a busy week and my mom didn't want to go. I'll be there for sparring tomorrow and everything else during the rest of the week. I walked another 1.5 miles today and that completed my miles for the week. Anyway, I want to hang out with my family so I got to go, bye!
Good afternoon, I just got done with the dreaded homework. This is getting very annoying because it delays my requirements big time. I get out of school at 4, get home about 425, and by the time I finish getting ready, it's 445 and homework takes 30 minutes, so. Yay. Have a good day.
Hello everyone, today I went to school and I was picture day so we got our pictures taken, and that was a way to get out of one class. Then when school ended we went to a bakery shop and I got a cookie, then my mom went to the library and returned books. Then we went home and I did my exercises, I hope everyone had a good day.
Yesterday I played at the beach with my new kite which was awesome. I also played the Switch with my cousins, which was really fun. My mom and I worked on requirements together. We are leaving to go home this afternoon.
Today is our last day at the beach. We are going to work on our requirements before hitting the road this evening.
I did not remember to journal yesterday until a few minutes past midnight. Everything was hurting especially my lower back and my legs felt heavy...on my feet for a good four hours. I need some footless compression tights for Tuesdays and I found some on Amazon. I will use anything to help keep me going. They were listed as good for drivers, pregnant women, teachers and get this...old people (eye roll)! Not very PC...should I be offended? I was able to complete most of my requirements and will be heading out to the dojang soon for class assistance, mentee session and black belt class. Bye for now!!
Tuesday- Got up and did 2 miles and all my physical requirements and stretched for about 20 min. Today almost all the kids ran with me, which was fun. Next week we are headed to the beach, normally I take Tuesdays off from classes but I went in today and had a really productive afternoon. Got both a mentee and mentor session in, as well as both leadership credits. It feels good to get things done!
Good morning, everyone! For some reason my journals don’t go through on certain days, which is definitely weird, but hopefully this one works. On Monday, it was my brother’s last official day working at TKD before going off to college. It was definitely hard that it was his last day, but he will be back in December. I realized that my life is honestly going to change a lot after my brother moves away, which is honestly pretty crazy. Yesterday, I went to school and finished my requirements for the day with ease. Today work was slow and steady and I got a bunch of stuff done. Got someone to help me repair my Visual Studio configuration so I was able to actually do some stuff today. And worked on my physical requirements in between. Tonight was Blue Belt night, apparently. I worked on kicks with the blue belts in the Senior Tigers class and then worked on blue Belt curriculum with my mentee. In between we did approximately 150,000 kicks in the adult class. We also had PMAA tonight and learned some more knife takedowns and also got to see the open-handed application of the same. Also, those of us who tested recently got our new rank certificates. Ran another 2 gentle miles today. Stretched and completed requirements by doing selective portions through the day.
During the day, I did my treadmill run that I missed yesterday and reviewed my specials and self-defenses. When I came to the dojang I was assisting class with everything. Mentee and mentor sessions were completed during my time there. I did part two of my special self-defense for 2nd Dan and wrote down every attack pattern I'm supposed to do. When I got home I had dinner and read the one of two of my books.
Today I woke up and spent most of my morning relaxing and working on a few hobby projects. I then went to take photos for cross country. I went with Laia for her senior photos. I then helped her register for classes with the help of my mom. Afterwards we had team photos and non-senior individual photos. We had a few minutes at home before we had to head to open-house. I walked through my schedule and got to meet the few new teachers I have never had before (since I am taking so many advance classes I have met most of my teachers). I also walked Laia through her schedule and made sure she is all set for Monday. I then went to my running workout, which was amazing. I am feeling so pumped for Saturday's race. Today's schedule has lots of changes. Samuel didn't go to school because he didn't feel well (not covid or viral, but they think he has stomach issues brewing again), added in a doctor's appointment for him, had to go do blood work for myself, and saw my nutritionist. In the middle of the nutritionist visit the fire alarm started going off so the visit was cut a bit short so she could evacuate. I also had a dentist appointment to check out an area that seems to have developed a lot of cold sensitivity recently. Lo and behold there is a cavity that needs taking care of, and my dentist can actually take care of it right now rather than having me come back. Well, sure, why not fix it now, plus cold sensitivity isn't the most fun thing to deal with. I've been with this dentist for seventeen years, so...
Went to the Belmont dojang for black belt class, it was very nice. I came home to clean and do some requirements in between. I’ll probably take a quick nap and work on the study guide material. There definitely things I need to refresh on.
today I went to my friends house to play cod and zombies. Then I went and jogged for 2 miles on my school track. Then I went and made chicken nuggets. Now I'm going to sleep.

Today I woke and went to work. I was with group 3. Today we went to the splash pad. The water was really cold so I didn’t get in that much. We did some big mat games and ate snack. Then after school we went to the gym and were going to do our exercises but then we decided to do them at home. Today I woke up for school at 6am, for school which is normal for me, I went to school shortly after I got up and had a very long day. Were still in the introducing stage to we don't even really do much real work so it makes for longer days. After that I went for a run on my schools track which is a nice track because every lap is exactly one mile, so it's nice. After we had to take dinner to one of my mom's friends because his wife broke her ankle so we took them some turkey for dinner.

Today i went to school like normal. I woke up on time this time. I went to after school and got my burpees done. (i dunno if i spelled burpees right) After after school i went to the gym. I did some assignments in health, aced a Spanish quiz, took a huge amount of notes in bio, got homework done in Civics, did a reading in English, and won a math competition. Today was pretty standard, I went to school, got my homework done and then we went to the gym but ended up going back home to do our stuff instead. I got a music player and I've been using it and it works pretty well. I ran a mile in nine minutes, not my fastest, but it was good. I played capture the flag in P.E. and I scored a point but we lost in the end, it was still fun though. Anyway, I have some stuff I want to do, I'm not going to TKD today so I can do some church stuff, anyway, see you guys tomorrow!

Yesterday I went to the beach and I practiced poomsae's at the beach house in front of my cousins and my mom and I went for a bike ride on the beach in the evening.
Monday- The routine is really helping, 2 miles, finish ALL exercises and then about a 20 minute stretch. I highly recommend Sarah Beth Yoga on youtube. We pop it on the TV in the living room and stretch. Monday was a little busy at work, lots of things coming to a head trying to start prepping for the end of the quarter and end of the year, which is crazy that it's already almost September. We went and helped with the 5:15 and took the 6 and 6:45, classes. Worked with some white belts, which is always fun, even my youngest is long past that age! I worked with a new Mentee between classes which was nice. It's interesting to me that each person really has their own struggles.
Henry and I went a bike ride on the beach yesterday evening, which was a great workout!
Of course, I am still struggling with increasing my upper body strength. I really want to be capable of doing pull-ups one day and I understand it may take awhile. My plan is to incorporate some L-sit pull-ups with a TRX strap…that could possible help. We will see….
Helped with the kids class this afternoon before the black belt class. Class went fine then i went for a jog at the park. Did 3 miles tonight.

I got out of the house a few minutes late but still with enough time to get there before they stopped for lunch. Except the was a closure on the road outside the subdivision. Hello everyone, I woke up for class today, I started part of my project assignment during class time and did some machinery stuff for the day. When I got back I read, did some chores and did my poomsaes and self-defenses and hapkidos and had my dinner, unfortunately I didn't run today, felt like I crashed after being in the heat for a period. I will run tomorrow though and assist with class.
Called my dad tonight and actually got him on the phone. I was telling him about our black belt requirements and he responds with "sounds great if you're retired". He isn't wrong, it's a lot of work to do every day for weeks on end. I did kicks in the living room and was working on doing turning kicks. Mark told me the kicks looked really good. Now if only they will let me test in my socks on carpet so I can look good on testing night.
I had a great day at school and my favorite part was learning about Cells in science class. This was really cool. I went to Taekwondo after school to help senior tiger class and meet with my mentor. I went running with my Dad and finished my exercises after Taekwondo. Today was a good day.

Hello everyone, today I played some handball at P.E. and I think I did pretty good. So, what happened was we had a team that was called the Batman team and we did awesome. We were able to score lots of points and block lots of shots, and I scored as well, and we won! Training day. Lots of fun today as we practiced Bocho dan self defenses. Apparently there’s more to falling and rolling than meets the eye. We practiced breaking the fall and rolling through the left side of the throw in set number 3 of the whole.

Sunday- Back on the running today, I felt extra slow and my calves were tight so took some time after to do some stretching. I've never stretched this much in my life, but I feel good. Did some shopping today, went to the Super G Mart, which is one of my wife's favorite activities, we like exploring different foods and new things. Sometime they are more successful than others. I don't think we got anything too exotic this time, just variation of things we know we like. Plus their veggies are a pretty good deal usually. Got home and did some requirements and ran through Poomsae's and self defenses with Abigail. I need to buckle down and get some Essays finished up this week. Almost halfway!
Since i was so tired from saturday i just slept normal hours at night and got up and did day stuff. Fixed our refrigerator, the, condenser fan motor starting making a high pitched squeal so I replaced that and put in a new water and air filter. Went grocery shopping with Levi. Woke up with some sort of head cold so the sudafed put me to sleep so i took a nap for a couple hours this afternoon. Woke up to the dog to the vet for a check up then came home and spent 3 hours mowing the lawn and repotting my Spruce for the cycle into a bigger pot. I got a bunch of ant bites on my right ankle so thats all swollen. Now i need to stay up tonight to get back on third shift schedule.
Saturday was a long day. Got off work at 7am then Levi and I went to sparring class at 9am. Was up the whole day due to hanging out with friends and our fantasy football draft. Was too exhausted to do any requirements.
Today I woke up and went to church. The pastor who spoke today, Pastor Taylor did an amazing job. Oh, also I guess I forgot to mention it, our foreign exchange student arrived yesterday. After church we went to Target with her to get a few things for her room. I then came home and chilled for a while before going out with my entire family to get ice cream. I then came home took a nap (that is why I am up so late) and then played some video games with Logan, Tiger, and Matthew. I then showered and now I am here.
This morning, we dragged ourselves out of bed and headed to the park for some practice. Not a good place to roll or fall but we can't still all work together on self defenses. We also did some weapons forms before everyone broke up. Later we went to the gym and I managed to do an hour on the treadmill. I still don't feel quite right but I think I'm doing a lot better. I really wonder if between trying to maintain my normal eating and recovering from being sick if I just haven't been getting enough calories to sustain myself on the Cycle. I feel a lot more normal today but I've also been eating like a crazed maniac. I think I'm slated to teach class tomorrow - or at least help out - depending on who else shows up. Looking forward in the book for this week and a couple.od.weeks past that I realized that we are in high requirement time. It feels like I'm always borderline hungry regardless of what I eat, and Mark pretty much commented the same feelings for himself. It's hard getting through everything we have to do sometimes if you literally run out of gas part way. The irony is, I am not sure what to eat and I'm rarely craving anything in particular. And water-soooooo much water. We did get up and go train at the park today with other TKD friends. It was weird teaching the self defenses I'm currently trying to learn and perfect to others. I also got to demo how to do the wrist locks on first Dan special (thank you Master Cavazos). Time to get ready for bed and do it all over again tomorrow.....

On Saturday, I woke up and went to sparring class. Then, I assisted a junior tiger class. After the classes, I went home and finished my requirements, then I had to go to a party. On Sunday, I had no classes. I finished my requirements and only ran 1.15 miles in the evening because it started to rain. I also started my nutrition challenge of at least 2 fruits a day and at least 2 cups of milk a day. Have a good night.

So today I got up did some requirements and then went to mass and then got the rest of the way packed up and we got in the car and started driving to the beach We go to sunset Beach So that's not outer Banks but like closer inward. But it's still like a 4-Hour drive but when we got there we unpacked and then went for a walk on the beach and barbecue for dinner and went for a walk on the beach and then we went home. We had dessert and then I started journaling and that's where I am right here

Hello everyone, today was a really good day for me because I did lots of fun things. First thing that I did was go to church and pass the sacrament. But something else happened, we were able to bring Zayne back to our house because he goes to the same church as us. We went home and we went on a walk that was five miles, we saw all crazy things and Zayne picked up a turtle. We also saw this wasp nest right over our head that was filled with wasps, and we also peed in a river under a bridge. Then we went home and had lunch and then we taught Zayne how to play DND and we had a fun campaign. Then, Zayne's dad came and we all had dinner, then when they left we watch stranger things. bye.
Today we went to Church and after we went and walked five miles so me and Jack are almost done with miles for the week. Zayne was walking with us and he came home and we made him a DnD character and played a campaign. After that we ate dinner and talked then Zayne went home and we finished the first episode of the third season of Stanger Things just now and that's it, bye.

Today I woke up walked four miles which was very tiring and then I took a break and then I wrote another essay then I stayed at my grandparents house for the day then my parents and sister came over to have dinner there and right before dinner I did my requirements.
For some reason, I feel like I need another day or two this weekend. Got my requirements done early this am. I've been working on side kicks and trying to make them beautiful, and I feel like I had a little breakthrough today, well, yesterday, actually. I'm also feeling a little more confidant with tornado kicks, but they're still definitely not beautiful. I managed to get to the pool for an hour today between a bunch of Whole Foods delivery shifts. It was nice to just lay on my raft and close my eyes for a little while.
Today nothing really eventful happened. I went to birkdale, shopped around, bought nothing. Some school stuff arrived off of amazon because school starts the 26th where I live.

My first week of high school was definitely different compared to what I thought it was going to be like, but it wasn't bad at all. I have a class in a few minutes and will start writing my lengthy journals like they used to soon. Have a wonderful day!
Happy Sunday Today I slept in for the first time in weeks. Normally, I get up, go to the park with some other blackbelts, work on poomsaes, self defense, ect. I needed a day to just chill. I've been overly sore and need a day to decompress. It was well deserved.
Today since it was Sunday I didn't really do much, I did go to church and had a really good sermon. After I just hung out and then went to Harris Teeter so that my mom could pick a few things up. Then we went home and I just chilled and did some requirements and just hung out. I am waiting for my dad and brother to get back from Colorado, their land time is 7:45 ET so they should be back soon.
Good afternoon, just got done with taking a shower, I went to Church today, it was good. Spent the rest of the day doing requirements and listening to Morgan Wallen. Hope everyone has a good rest of the day.
I am back to work tonight so I had to use my time wisely. Since I am back in school, I alternated my time between requirements and reading. Both classes, AI Fundamentals and ML Computation, are pretty interesting. They are online so I think I can swing this. The requirements get me moving so no prolonged sitting. I had gotten a little behind on my tracking and was able to update that. Soon, it will be time for my nap. Have a good "rest of your Sunday". I'm out!
