Chiropractor

So today, we went to a chiropractor appointment, after we did our requirements, and the most painful thing that he did was take the cups to my foot and move them around! Jack made some funny faces and it was hilarious all around. I worked more on my DnD campaign and I'm excited to try it with my family. I'm gonna plays videogames soon, see you guys later.

7/29 Robert Downey Jr is Dr Doom. What!

Good afternoon, I pull up my phone and the first thing I read is "Robert Downey Jr is announced as Dr Doom at SDCC". Who's idea was it to make him Dr Doom (the Russo brothers), like he's Iron Man. I don't know hope it's good. On the other hand I have a junior tigers class and a black belt class today. Just found out that school starts soon (hope I have a math teacher for more than a few months). See you there. Have a good rainy day.

I'm writing this in the morning so I don't know what I'll do later in the day but already I got done a day's worth of excersizes. my core has been hurting a lot recently so all excersizes were very difficult but I was able to pull through and get them done.

Journal - Day 16

Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was a long day. After I got the majority of my exam done, I decided to leave it and catch up on requirements instead. Today, I woke up to find out that it's going to be raining all day today (again), so I went running inside my house for about 30 minutes to make up time. I am currently fixing the minor details to my exam and will submit it before I head over to TKD this afternoon. I am hoping to get a mentor and mentee session today and will take 2nd and higher class. My arms are getting more sore by the day, so I hope my body can get used to it soon. Have a wonderful day!

Today was splendid at Mint hill park. We practiced staff forms, bolo, and a few hapkido rounds. Completed my cycle requirements later in the day.

You Can Sleep Later

This morning, I had another quick nap and headed to the park. It was tough getting up, but I told myself I will sleep later before work. We practiced staff form 1 & 2, bolo and 1st Dan specials. It was my first time practicing bolo form with a sword instead of a stick. There was a different feel to it. Everything is coming along, but I am tired...and I hurt. If I am not at work, I am at the dojang it seems. Keep it moving...

Rest

After the busy days of the cycle and waking up early, i took some a very needed day off. After doing my physical requirements and everything I had to do, i went to go visit some family and run some errands. When i got back home I took a nap and did my German early before bed.

Day 16

Got up this morning and went to the park to practice.  We drilled down on 1st Dan Special (knife defense) and then staff forms.  It's nice to get out and practice with more people.  It gives me a chance to help others as well as get help with what I'm learning.  And it's a bit of socializing, too - which is far too rare in post-2020 America. On the way home from the park we picked up some bagels, ate breakfast, and then knocked out our physical requirements.  I feel like I'm getting a bit better at the 2nd Dan self defenses but not fast enough to be where I should.  Once all that was taken care of, we worked on kicks and then got changed to go to the store.I really need an 8th day between Saturday and Sunday (or maybe between Sunday and Monday) to relax.  It's bad enough...

deadpool and wolverine

So today I went and saw the new deadpool and wolverine movie and it was really good. Though there was a lot of cussing. Then I went to the gym to run and do my requirements it was good. Then I went to youth and we played dodgeball and it was fun. Then I ate dinner which was pizza. I'm angry because school starts in a week and a half. Like come on! I am starting middle school and I don't know what to expect. I am also kind of excited because my elementary school made no sense. But I guess everyone has their own rules. Good night everyone.

Journal 16: a different day

Today was a different but relaxing day. As usual I wake up and make breakfast. Then a little bit after lunch my mom’s parent go home and then I start on my requirements. Then I relax keleigh's friend come over for a bit. After that I play on my vr for a bit. Then I went to do my run while my dad did his walk. Then came home to have dinner which was pizza yum.

Olympics

When I woke up my sister and I watched gymnastics Olympics.  Then I went to Poomsae class.  We went up with partners to do poomsaes.  Mine were Shane and Jovi and we did pal.  When we got home I ate lunch and watched water polo.  Then I went outside and practiced lacrosse.  Before I knew it, it was time for dinner.  Now it's late and it's time for bed.

Tubing Day

Today I woke up early to go tubing for the day with one of my friends. The place that we went was called The Green River, a great tubing spot. It was a long drive though, but worth it. We were on the river for about two hours before we got out and headed to get lunch/dinner, at a place called Dairy O. Very good food. Then we had a two hour drive back, I stayed at my friends house for a bit to roam around Kannapolis for a bit before I was going to head back to my house. I wanted to see the new Deadpool movie, but I didn't have enough time. Overall it was an awesome day.

8th Journal Entry

Today is a sunday so i didn't do much today. I went to the gym and did double my requirments. I learned about double unders and boxer jumps with jump ropes and i failed miserably but i'll keep trying. Theres not really much to talk about today because it was a sunday so i think i'm done.

7/28/24

Today I woke up and headed to church. Today I was in the Kids room experimenting with separating the 4th and 5th graders to a separate room. I feel it went well, I luckily was not in the room by myself. I then came home and took a 2 hour nap, which was amazing. I then relaxed and went on a long run today. I feel the run went well, I only had to stop for water (no pain in my calves!). I then came home, ate some good pizza, and stretched out.

Today was uneventful, and I had no classes. I finished all of my requirements after lunch. Then, I went outside and ran for 1.5 miles. After the run, I ate dinner and went to bed. I will see you on Monday.

Traveling

Traveling to beach today, I finished tidying the apartment before we left. I did some stretches and poomsaes and self defense before we left.The ride was nice, I probably played “sweetest love” from the new descendants move. TikTok videos got it stuck in my head.

Day 16

This Sunday, I got started with my 3-mile treadmill run, afterwards I did my arm bars, practiced my self defenses and pushups and sit ups before taking my shower, I read the chapter of my book and relaxed for the day.

7/28/24

I woke up this morning and ran at the park with my Dad. We came back home a did some exercises, pomsaes, and self defense. We had a baseball practice and I worked on hitting and pitching. I feel I’m getting stronger each day. I will work hard each day to reach my goal.

7/28/24-Tired and Sore

So today I woke up very early at a sleepover with my friends it was very fun. However, I am extremely exhausted and very sore. Excited to start my week tomorrow new plans to start stretching to try and reduce soreness. This evening me and my family had a movie night and had Mexican food for dinner. Sunday

Hello everyone, today I went to church and passed the sacrament and I also taught everyone in my age area. People said that I did a pretty good job on my lesson so I felt proud, once I got home I made more macaroni and cheese. We also played Dungeons and Dragons. Then I finished my new skill essay and read some of my book. Then we watched the Lego Batman Movie and that was really funny. After that we ate dinner and I wrote my journal, I hope everyone is having a good time.

Technical Issues

Today, we went to church and learned some more about the Book of Mormon and then went home and ate some Mac n Cheese and did our requirements but I also went and started creating a campaign for Dungeons and Dragons, I call it, "What Lurks in the Dark". After we ate dinner, we tried logging into the computer to journal, but it didn't work, so I'm journaling from my mom's phone. Anyway, see you guys tomorrow, bye!

Hi King Tiger Family, I hope everyone is having a good Sunday. Great morning service at Church. Ate lunch. Did some things around the house and will be heading to do some requirements. I leave for NYC tomorrow for work. I have four days in NYC. My goal is to try to do requirements in the mornings before my day starts. They will be long work days. Ready for the challenge. Forgot yesterday's journal

So.... I'm doing it now.  There always seem to be distractions at night and when I journal  I feel like I'm speed typing to get in under midnight.  I found a new chicken breast  stuffed recipe that I made yesterday with spinach and vegan cheese ( for those who don't know I'm allergic to dairy and soy).  I added turkey bacon because I left out the feta and wanted something to replace it with. Apparently it was pretty good but I need to find  a way to keep the chicken from drying a bit.  I also did some stretching after I finished my requirements and- guys- I may not be able to replicate it again, but I touched my forehead to my knee in the first time in YEARS.  Obviously I need to keep stretching so I can stay flexible.  Anyhow, we have shopping to do for the week and I'm...

LMP July 28

Got up this morning and went to the park. Spent about an hour and change working on bolo poomsae, knife self defense,  and staff forms 1-3. I really enjoy getting together on Sundays at the park. It's very laid back, but we work on and learn a lot.  After that, our group took a walk around the park and found several physical requirement stations.  Some of us attempted, but the metal was very fat and slippery.  My new sneakers are feeling better, and not hurting as much. I'll be able to do a second walk, possible jog, later around my neighborhood.  I managed to do a 2 inch pull up...progress. maybe by spring I'll manage at least one.

Getting sick?

I have a scratchy throat as of late yesterday and I'm worried I might be getting sick. REALLY hoping that's not the case because I don't want to get behind on requirements.  Feeling very overwhelmed at the amount of stuff I still need to learn and hope we get our curriculum sheets very soon!

Journal - Day 15

Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was a long day. After coming back from TKD, I finished all of my civics assignments. Later in the afternoon, we went shopping and got a few things from the store. Today, I am hoping to start the exam and complete this course. This morning, I made up all my requirements from yesterday and hope to finish today's later in the afternoon. I think today is going to be more of a relaxed requirement day because I've already finished yesterday's this morning. Have a wonderful day!

Day #15 - 7/27/2024

Training day today at North Charlotte. I was basically revived as GM Evins drilled us today in combos, poomses, and double sticks sinuales. A little sweat does go a long way in reactivating those muscle centers. Completed my cycle requirements. I also connected with my mentee and had a nice day holistically. Thank you King Tiger TKD! Bows!

Sleepover

This morning I went to Saturday Black belt class and came home and played with my friends all day. I am now currently sleepover with them so I hope everyone will have a special Sunday tomorrow good night!

7/27/24

I woke up for black belt class this morning and felt horrible and I had limited time to get dressed and ready.  Once I got to black belt class I had a mentor session.  After class we went to take care of our friends dog.  I had Chick-fil-A for breakfast.  I am now starving as I just realized that is all I have eaten today. We then went to pick up Coopers friend JoJo to go see Deadpool and wolverine.  My favorite part was dogpool.  He is the best.

Today I woke up and did most of my requirements for taekwondo. Then I went to bbc and did poomsaes and sticks. Then I did the rest of my requirements for teakwondo. Then I went to the pool with my friend. Then I went to her house to have a sleepover. Now I am done for the day.

Today I had drivers Ed we learned to be careful about semi trucks and motorcycles.  Then we went to go pick up JoJo to see the new Deadpool and wolverine movie.  It was a super funny movie and my favorite one so far.  Otherwise it was a boring day.

Tired

Stayed up all night to make black belt class got physical requirements on the way. Got home from class and stayed up till 3. Stayed in bed until 10 and did some stuff for school before bed.

Journal 15 exhausting day

Today was the typical Saturday. Woke up went to sparing. My mood was much better today. It was an exhausting day as I spent half the day at TWD. I was not able to get mentor session in because there are 6 of us, I think in the cycle. I did get a mentor. It will be interesting next doing my requirements as we will camping. After my days cut the grass we set up our tent to spray the seems to it will not leak. I help take it apart so it could finish drying in our garage. I have my good and bad days. My body is tolerating requirements well.

Day 15

Welcome to Week Three.I think I managed to catch up on all of the requirements I let slip last week.  Who knows how sore I'll be in the morning.  Of course, that'll probably fade out after an hour (or less) passes.  Also, I managed to get through a Black Belt class with my one knuckle locked out.  One day down and (supposedly) 41 more to go until I only have to wear this thing at night.  I really need to find out if I'm allowed to make a proper fist at that point. We'll see how tomorrow's practice goes but - at least for now - it might be awkward but I can hold a short stick and I can hold a staff.

Today was a fairly good day. I went to Black Belt Class this morning. I also got a mentee session in, which was great. I then came home, ate and got ready for a run workout. Today's workout wasn't bad, but I have been having some bad calf pain; still trying to work through it. I then relaxed, did some requirements, and relaxed more.

2 down 10 to go(weeks). Today was the start of week three and i went to sparring and got all my credits. i didnt get a mentor but thats my bad. i did get a mentee. i only need 5 more mentee sessions. Then i went home. not declans house but my house. i did some requirements then had dinner. the i went to run. ive just been chillin and im going to see the wolverine and deadpool movie tomorrow. i hope its good. see you tomorrow.

Olympics

Today the Olympics started, and we've been watching them for hours now. I think that the Olympics are that type of thing where you just can't miss it, you need to watch it and support your country when we win and when we loose. Hello, today I woke up but wasn't feeling hungry so I didn't eat a lot of my breakfast, this is something that I would soon regret. After that I went to Black belt class and it was a Master Evins and I was pretty tired and I felt like I wanted to throw up a little from the kicks because we did so many. After that we went to the gym and did our exercises and it took a while, once we got home me and my brother helped with the grocery's and helped with shopping. Then once I got home we hung out for a while and then once it was 3 PM I was able to play games. We also watched the Olympics and that was fun. I hope everyone is having a good week.

Reset and Rest

I dint make it to black belt class, but I was able to work with my mentees after class. I was going to stay and help with class, but they already had so many people assisting. I went home to sleep. Today was really about sleeping and cleaning. I treated my mom to dinner cause she going to take care of my dog next week. resting, I’m so tired

Wedding Day

Today I woke up from a sleep over at one of my friends houses and went to work from there. They were great classes and we I enjoyed a lot of sparring and fun stuff like that. After work we went home where I had to do some requirements and take care of some dogs for a bit before we went to one of my friends weddings. It was a wonderful wedding, it was actually at my old church that we had gone to before. It was quick and easy, and we all had a fun time visiting with old friends.

Today I woke up this morning and went to sparring class and did really good, then l helped out in jr tigers to get my assistant credit then I went to the family class and we worked on combo kicks. Last I went to leadership and we got to make up our pommases which was really fun. Last today was a great day and I can’t wait for tomorrow.

To the Point

I worked only 8 hours last night so I can attend BB class this morning. I am a magnet for bad nights, you see…..gotta make it to class. I was able to get in some noodles and 2 hours of sleep beforehand. After BB class, I had a good session going over staff form 1 & 2 and 1st Dan Specials. I am on my way to work after a pretty decent nap. That’s all, folks!!!

Good afternoon, First I got up and went to my sparring, then I helped out in a Junior tigers class and last leadership (Master Foster did a great job leading that class). I also had to do my requirements when I got home, I found out that today the requirements increased, so that through me off a little bit (and my body was sore from sparring). Then I watched some TV. LMP July 27

Today I got up and went to my blackbelt class.  We reviewed our poomsaes then did some double stick swalis.  After blackbelt,  I had my juniors / Littles class. Only two little ones today.  Then Master Dege and I had a mentor / mentee session. We reviewed self-defense white through high green.  I wrote then down on index  cards after asking whete to find them on the KT app.  I'm going to be sore tomorrow because I didn't realize that some of our physical requirements went up in minutes, and so I'm trying to play catch up.   Since the Olympics are going on, I may try to get more of my required book completed tomorrow and possibly go without my phone for 12 hours...not hard considering I'm not on it all day long....

7th Journal Entry (1 week yay)

Today was my first black belt class. (i know i'm very behind) It was like a regular class but long. I got my mentor and did my pre-physical today. I got a pedometer to track my miles and steps so i don't have to go to a track everyday. Today went pretth smooth and i'm doing my journal before dinner for the first time. This is actually  my 1 week mark and i feel pretty good about the cycle right now. (i hope that doesn't change) I learned that sparring is going to be on friday now and i am very sad but oh well. Okay i think i'm done.

7/27/2027

Hi King Tiger Family. It is Saturday. Great morning BB class. Worked on a bunch of items, especially sticks. Always could use practice with those. Then we stayed and helped with class. I really like instructing the lower belts and help them get ready for the next belt. It is fun to watch them learn and get it. Then when they accomplish it, it is amazing to see their faces. To see that they can do it and they are capable. I think that for TKD there is a bunch is having confidence that you can do it. The rest is practicing the skills and leveraging them in different ways, but once you overcome the fear and see you can do it, then it becomes easier. It was great to see all the BB this morning. Many are testing and working hard on the cycle. Have a great Saturday. Take care.

Journal - Day 14

Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was a nice day. I went to help out with summer camp early in the morning and basically stayed there all day. After summer camp, I changed and helped out with little tigers. I took rolls and falls class, followed by black belt class. We worked on our belt specials, and I finally had the chance to learn number 5 of it. Master Chelley helped a lot with it, since she helped me learn the attacks as well. I also had a mentor session with Master Natasya and she helped me with the minor mistakes. Today, I woke up pretty early and headed to black belt class. We zoomed in and had a great class. We also worked on sinnualies today, which was awesome because it's been a while since I've done those. I am about to finish my assignments for civics. Week 2 is already over!...

Got up early to prep for my "first" Real actually early black belt class. Practiced what i could remember from pma and did my forms before running errands all day. Got home did my last physical requirements and German before bed.

Dat 14

It's already been two weeks and what a two weeks it's been.  We've started working with our mentor and learning 2nd Dan 1-step and Special.  I hate the way all my movements are so slow this early in learning a self defense.  I know I'll pick up speed but testing doesn't seem far enough away to catch it up in time. I went to Urgent Care this morning because I hurt my finger yesterday.  They put it in a splint and told me to go to OrthoCarolina after work.  Apparently I managed to damage the ligament that runs to the bone at the end of the finger.  It doesn't require surgery but it has to be held perfectly straight for six full weeks and then four more weeks at night while it "scabs up" and reattaches.  Between the ankle sprain earlier in the year and now this, it feels like something...

Practice with your friends!

I feel like I have a bit of a cool thing going on when I'm on the cycle-i have someone who is my belt rank to practice with when I need to.  Self defense are more fun to do and I feel I learn a lot more when you can go up to someone in your house and say "hey, throw a punch at me, I want to do X" and they a)know why you want them to throw a punch, b) they won't actually land it, c) they can give you immediate feedback on how you did, and d) they usually ask you to punch them back.  It also helps keep you on track and accountable when you might be tempted to skip it and make up time the next day, because if they walk up and say "hey, do forms with me", "time my kicks", or "let me toss...

Today i was at camp and got all my requirements done like usual. We went bowling today. I kinda walked off and got in trouble with my friends but besides that it was fun. I almost forgot to do my journal until i realized when i was laying in bed. Tomorrow i'm going to my first black belt class and i'm ready. Okay i think i'm done now.

Today was a new day. At first I went to the doctor then I worked on my requirements, then I made my new meal shrimp and pasta. By the way it was delicious but sadly we were late to taekwondo but after black belt class and advance sparing we did our run. After the run we came home and had dinner then went to bed.

So today I woke up pretty late and started to read. I played with my brothers today and then went to TKD for a class assistance credit, bb weekday credit, and a mentor and mentee session. This weekend we are taking care of our friends dog.   After class we went over to their house and walked him.  The dogs name is Cooper Joe. He is old and did not want to go for a walk. Then when we got home we went and walked our dog Smokey. Then my brother made nachos for dinner.

This morning I woke up and took my drivers Ed class.  Today we took a couple of tests on the last 4 chapters we read. They were 16 questions and I am pretty confident I got them right.  I had to leave class at 5 to make it to black belt class.  After class I came home and walked my friend’s dog.  I walked with my mom and little brother.   After that we walked our own dog Smokey.  I showed them a new route to get some extra miles in.  It made Smokey really tired.  Then we went to the store to buy stuff for nachos.   I made na his for me and my little brother.  Then I am heading back over to let Cooper out one last time before bed.

Today, I watched the Olympic games ceremony at 1:30. Then, I finished my requirements and went to my black belt class and advanced sparring class. After the class, I rested and ran for one mile. I will see you on Saturday.

Today i went to advanced sparring and my fello candidate abraham kicked me very hard in the head and nuts. i had my cup on but it was falling out of place when he kicked me and i couldnt fix it unfortunately 👎. but we worked on cancellations and mobility. i had black belt class and it was fun. I only ran one mile tonight. declan made a pasta dinner with shrimp in it. it was good. today was good.

Hi King Tiger. Good day today. Work was interesting as usual but got some hiring items in the pipeline. Basically, I need to hire a new group of leaders to help with some Transformation work. I am excited about that. I got my car to the auto body shop for appraisal. Please pray that it can be repaired. Heading back to NYC next week for work. Doing some requirements in the NYC. Great BB class today. Working on belt level items which was awesome. Looking forward to the weekend. Have a great weekend and take care.

Today was a fairly productive day. Started my day off with a swim workout, followed by some requirements. I then went for a run and did even more requirements. After all that I went to Black Belt Class and we worked on 3rd Dan specials (belt) self-defense, which I definitely needed a refresher on. I then came home, relaxed, and now I am here.

7/26/24

Today I woke up this morning and I did some of my 5th grade work so I be ready for fifth grade, after that I did some of my coding and typing. I went running and did my exercises. Then I practiced some taekwondo and reviewing my pommases and self defense. Last I went to taekwondo for my black belt class and advanced sparring and I also got my leadership credit while I was at the sparring class. Last I am very proud that I am on this cycle because I worked hard to get here. I hope everyone achieves their black belt.

Friday

Today I woke up to go to the movies and then returned home to do my requirements and read for my essay. Not much else happened, except I participated in rolls and falls and found my missing sparring gear helmet from yesterday's sparring class. I did learn 2nd Dan specials which was new for me since I never learned it until now.

Cake pops

Today when I woke up, my sitter came over and we played, did my requirements at Champions, ate lunch, played some more.  When she left I went to Taekwondo and I brought my cake pops to share with the class.  This was my "new skill".  My sister can make them, but I never have.  I made them with vanilla cake and chocolate on top with sprinkles. When I got home I realized I forgot to give them out.  Master Natasya put them in the fridge so they will be there on Saturdays class.  If you are reading this - come to Saturdays class for a cake pop!  See you tomorrow.

Workout Day

Today, was a lot of working out, because in the morning I went to Crossfit to weight lift. Me personally, I love to weight lift, it's always my favorite day. So I did a lot of bench press, and really working shoulders lats and triceps. After that I crashed at home and did some requirements before going to the Dojang, and doing black belt class which was a great class today. Following the Advanced Sparring Class with Instructor Madelynn teaching the class. She does a wonderful job in teaching drills that they did in the Olympics, which is very hard, and why I said a Workout Day. Lot's of strengthening and high cardio, but a awesome class highly recommended.

Today I woke up and did my requirements for taekwondo. Then I did my chores and listen to music. Then my mom turned on the Olympics and we watched the Olympics. Then I played with my dog. Then I watched a little bit more of the Olympics. Then I went to taekwondo and did two classes. Now I’m done for the day.

Pacing Myself

I have fallen behind in my requirements which has happened before. Even though I need to get them done, I also need to listen to my body. It is important to let the muscles rest and repair itself. I will be able to pick up again soon. I work tonight and if it is a good night (fingers crossed), I'll be able to fit some things in. Have a good day/night, all!

LMP July 26

Super proud of myself....I assisted in two classes back to back, then stayed for my sparring class.  Anxiously awaiting my pullup bands, thanks to a fellow blackbelt candidate.   Today begins the opening ceremonies for the summer 2024 Olympics,  so at camp today, all games and activities will be centered around that!  Super excited. Javelin toss( pool noodles), jump rope competition,  hula hoop competition,  bowling competition (knock down cones) and lots of crafts!  With the competitions, I'll easily get my physical requirements in!!!  Happy Rainy Friday 🌧

So Tired

Hey guys, today, I'm a little bit beat up because of sparring obviously, but my mom doesn't believe that I did my requirements! I only had my push ups and my run left, but now I need to do them all over again! anyway, I'm not working today, so I should be able to relax more and today should be more chill. Journal - Day 13

Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was a nice day. After finishing my requirements and a lot of my assignments, I played a game with my mom and my brother. After that, the rest of the day was easy and simple and we just rested. Today, I woke up pretty early and have already gone on my run. I am about to go take a shower and soon head over for summer camp. After summer camp, I am hoping to take the rolls and falls class, followed by Black Belt class. Hopefully, I can get a mentor or mentee session today since I have a lot to work on. I am hoping to finish my requirements and civics assignments after I come back. Have a wonderful day!

Day #13 - 7/25/2024

A lot happened today. After completing what seemed like a terrible attempt to workout, I decided to go shopping for another treadmill. I had managed to break the old one with my recent increase in incessant running. My little minion hurt himself while we were out shopping, and cried a lot. And this really got me feeling melancholic till the end of the day. So much that I could barely get enough energy to write this post.

The majority of my day was spent at a waterpark with some relatives. When I got home, I did some requirements and rested for a little before heading to the dojang to help out with class and take sparring class. It was a very big class today, many cycle people were there.

Thursday sparring

Thursday is sparring day-well, at least for now.  The dojang 's schedule is getting ready to change so we can add Muay Tai, so sparring will move to Friday.  Also got a mentoring session in while we were there.  I think I need a new pair of gloves along with the stick bag I need to buy for myself.  I had forgotten how much the gloves shed when you use them.   It's like I'm the soot monster, raining soot and punches wherever I go.  My por stick bag has a hole in the bottom, so I have to be careful not to have a stick sneak out like a teenager sliding out of their window meeting their friends after midnight.

Day 12(a)

Or Thirteen, if you prefer.Today was another busy work day.  I was going to try to get some miles in over lunch but right at noon the skies opened up.  I did manage to get some in later (I took a late lunch) and once it hit 5pm, it was off to the dojang for helping and then sparring. Still not a big fan of sparring - I'm too methodical and analytical for something that happens that fast.  But I'm learning new things so it's all good.  But now it's off to bed and back at it again tomorrow.

Chill Day

Today was a nice chill day, because I was able to rest and do my requirements and just hang out and enjoy my family. I did go to get my brothers car inspected though from a super nice guy named Johnny. He does inspections for cars for a living, after that I went home and saw some super cute puppies from next door and hung out with them for a while. Then I went to work which was a pretty long day with a lot of classes for the most part. While we were out the power went out at home and we had to fend for ourselves for food, but everything turned out well.

7/25/24

Got my requirements done early and took a nap until about 4 pm. Practiced some forms before going to the 6:20 class to help out for a credit. Then after than we did sparring class. My THIRD ROUND I had to spar 2 people at once but I think I did ok. After sparring did some work with my mentee and did my German while walking back home  to help with the running / walking miles.

7/25/24

Today I woke up late since I did not sleep much while on vacation. I went for a run, which sucked; I felt so bad today, had to stop twice and stretch my calves. I took this as a lesson that even when you are "good" at something you still can have bad days. I then did some requirements before going to a couple of appointments. I then went to sparring where I took a turning side kick to the groin (luckily I had a cup on). I then came home and now I am here.
