Today we went to a skating rink in summer camp, and I got blisters. When I got back I helped with a few classes and ran a mile later on during a break. Right before sparring class I ran another mile. Sparring class was fun, I sparred my brother and Davis, who is on the black belt cycle.
I helped with the Junior Tiger class tonight. I really enjoy working with the kids because they make me smile. They always come to class eager to learn with lots of enthusiasm.
Today was so much fun! We went to Kate's Skating Rink (Lake Norman Summer Camp)! After we got back all the kiddos were all very tired so all the other people on the cycle and I went for a run and did a mile and then later did another mile before sparring class. I was able to do the last mile with only stopping once (instead of stopping 3 or 4 times) at the half mile point for a mere 10 seconds.
Today I was feeling tired. I worked on one of my essays today and some of requirements. Went to both classes and earned a leadership credit and did my first Mentee session. When I got home I was feeling better so I worked on more of my requirements.
today we took my dog to the vet. he got his rabies shot. After i went back to sparing class for the first time in a while in a while. then i did a mile in 8:54 and smoked my mom who is a great runner.
Today I didn't have much going on because all of my friends are out of town so I just focused on my physical requirements. I started by day off by doing some of my requirements then ran for 2.1 miles. After my run I finished up my daily requirements and then I went to my great-grandmothers house with my sister and we played in the pool with our cousins for a little while. I also helped my great-grandmother with things she needed done around her house then I came home and got ready for taekwondo class. I did both classes tonight and finished up my last day of white belt challenge. I am happy to have another item for my requirements completed. Tonight I am just going to rest. Today has been another good day.

Today i have some time so i can work on my black belt cycle. i'm going to try to get as much done as possible. i really need to get caught up. i'm almost finished with my book essay.
I am at KY exploring the mamouth caves. I have been doin a lot of walking so I can count that for my run/walk. I have been having a good time here.
Today i had to learn how to jump rope again it took me a few times to actually complete one round. The hardest part of cycle in my opinion is maybe the running part. oh and the waking up early part. Anyways i been running to KT then back to my house for a total of 3 miles per day. hopefully i can be done early with my running and focus on other things.

Gosh I am starting to think that these entries start all the same I had another great day I went to the dojang taught class and then went out for dinner with my mom and older sister (my father is out of town) only real complaint I have is that my left knee and calf have been killing me for some odd reason. Also my two dogs insist to "help me" train and practice whenever I do anything even while writing this my dog Stella is sitting on my lap and my dog Tybee wants to play and I'm tired so I guess after this I have to bite the bullet and play with him. Today I helped out with the 3:50 class and 5:45 class, I got leadership 1 and 2 credits. I took the 4:45 senior belt class. In the senior belt class it was just me and Aiden, a high red belt. He is testing Saturday for Bocho Dan so we spent most of the class making sure he was ready for the test. I still have 20 pushups and situps to do but as of right now I'm not sore. I think I'm gonna finish my pushups and situps then meditate for a little bit then go to bed. I can't wait for the weekend!
Today we went to the movies to watch cloudy w/ a chance of meatballs 2 with the kids, walked half a mile there and back for a mile. When we got back we started classes and I just did my requirements in the back of the class.
Today was a tough day…I was so tired this morning that I didn’t want to get out of bed and that never happens because I’m a morning person. But I knew I had to drag myself to work. I didn’t get my requirements done before work so I had to do them after work. (But only after taking a short power nap because I literally couldn’t hold my eyes open.) I did them while watching the Big Brother premiere.
Everything seems to be getting easier, by just a little bit. I am also doubling up on classes on Monday and Wednesdays. I seem to be getting lots of extra push ups, sit ups, poomsaes and self defenses. It's awesome!
another cross fit day, I run to cross fit complete class then run back to the school, ok I have to walk some because I am so tired from the work out, I am getting better but still not where I want to be. Forgot to log in a few times so have to get into a better habit and log in my time for things completed. So today I woke up after a full night's sleep and it felt great then I went downstairs and did almost all of my exercises for the day no problem. I came up and I ate breakfast and went running with my dad. When we got home and played some video games. Then I started reading, FYI I am a serous bookworm. Then I went over to my friend's house and we played aver there. Then I went to TKD and I had a lot of fun. When I got home I started reading again and here we are. Today has been a good day and now I have to log.
Today I wasn't happy about waking up early to go on a run, and do a lot of push ups and sit ups. I had to go to summer camp after that, and I was so tired, that I brought my pillow into the car for the ride. By the end of summer camp, I was very tired because we are outside all day. I was looking forward to the end of the day when I could eat dinner, but still have to do more push ups and sit ups.
Today has been very busy. I went to tennis camp from 9-12 then came home and ate lunch. As soon as I finished eating I started working on my physical requirements and ran 1.8 miles. I only had a few minutes after finishing up my requirements then it was time to go to taekwondo. I took 2 classes. I did another day of white belt challenge during 1 class and got in a mentee session & earned a leadership 1 credit in the 2nd class. I came home from class and quickly ate dinner, did my meditation and now I am going to have ice cream with my friend/neighbor. It has been another good day & I got a lot accomplished.

today i trained through motivation solid I ran at the park and did other stuff at the park but then at home I watched about 10 minutes of Amarican Ninja Warrior and I was like all right lets do this and now Im motivated to get through this cycle 2X as stronger than last time
Had a very long day today. I'm not used to doing so much during the day. I should get used to it by next week. Thankfully i can get a lot of requirements throughout teaching classes.
It was great to be back in class tonight. (That’s the only bad part about being on vacation.) We worked on the Palgwe forms and hapkido. Today was a good day.
Today when I got to the Dojang I did my pull-ups and jump rope. Later at the park we did poomsaes and our short stick forms. When we got back to the Dojang I was helping out with all the classes, and around 4:15 we ran our mile. When we got back we helped with more classes. At around 7:30 we started PMAA class and ended around 8:30.
I woke up very sore this morning. After breakfast I went for my run and it started raining but I got my 1.5 miles in. It rained pretty much all day so I watched movies and played some games. I worked on the rest of my requirements on and off almost all day. Tonight I went to Black belt class in Belmont. Had an Awesome time with Ms. Pam and got a lot of extra requirements in.
Kids did great again today. Went to a new park, so I ran by myself to establish a route. Kids ended up waiting until back at the school to run. We worked on Stick forms while at the park. A little worried about my candidates that are out of the country this summer. Four of them. I hope they can still take advantage of the pre-cycle time! Went to a former students first MMA fight this past Saturday. He did great (Austin Munsch...for those of you who remember him) and won with a TKO in the second round. We were proud.

Today has been an ok day. I got up very early so I could carry my moms work bags to the car for her then I went and cut my neighbors grass. It felt good to do things to help 2 people that I care for. After cutting the grass I played with my friend across the street for a few minutes then came back home to work on my exercises. To tell the truth my day was very uneventful I ran in the morning and the air was very thick which made catching my breath a lot harder, I finished my two miles in the end not with my usual grace or great speed. I went in to teach again I went in at 4:30 and stayed until the last class which I took and it ended at 7:30 but I stayed and cleaned a little while writing this I had just arrived back at my home. We traveled to Mississippi yesterday. We are on our way to San Antonio, Texas to see Russell (my cousin) graduate from basic military training. I was able to do my workout before we go to the beach today.

With the wrapping up of my first real day of the cycle combined with class whilst I enjoy everything about going to the dojang whether it to teach or just to take class, I cannot help but have a shroud of doubt and worry in my mind. If some of you didn't know I have never done a black belt cycle at king tiger and I may have the shroud of the doubt and worry in my mind I am also very excited for it to help me for when I actually do my masters cycle(s) it also can help me be a better teacher as well as a student. today I went to the Mint Hill park to get my run and other workouts in it was fun to get my workouts in by a differant style to change it up a bit each time I think it helps me be more productive.
Very good day! Worked my crew pretty hard (and by extension, myself)! They were all doing push ups, sit ups, jumping rope by 9 am (without me telling them to) . Let them have some fun at the park and then pulled them away for some poom sae and self defense work. Only meant to work for about 20 minutes but ended up being about 40! Then we ran (walked/ran) 2 miles together around 4:15. It was tough, but now we know what we need to work on! The camper candidates had a Hyper Pro class and the Counselors stayed late and helped with family class and then took the adult class. I got up this morning at 4am and got everything done except jump rope, pullups, and miles. I saved that for this evening after work. Unfortunately, I twisted my knee when I was jumping rope. I hope I can get an appointment with Dr. Bill this week so he can put things back where they belong. Either way, I will persevere.
Today I went to work at king tiger lake Norman and did all of my jump, rope and sparring rounds for the day. After that we went to the park and let the kids have fun, while we were at the park master Chelley got all the cycle candidates together to do our poomsaes and s3 defences for the day. When we got back to 5 he Dojang we did our pull ups and things like that. At around 4:15 the masters and candidates went out for a 2 mile jog for the day, after that I was really tired. I got my leadership credits in for the day because I help out with all the classes throughout the day. While the kids were in the back we were doing our pushups and sit ups. While classes were going on we were doing our basic kicks.
Today was difficult, but so rewarding! I went running with the Hartles and a few other black belt cycle candidates from our Lake Norman school. I was able to get a lot of extra stuff in. I am looking forward to tomorrow and the rest of the week!
Well game on - - -it's time to focus and get a plan. Have a crazy few weeks coming up so the requirements are going to be all over the board, if some days I even make it to the board, but all is good. During cycle you are going to have your up's and down's then toss in some other obligations, unexpected whatever's, but in the end if you want it enough you will find a way to make it work out.

Today one of my masters, Master Justin Laloan, got back from a trip to New York. Also one of his students from New York came down for a tournament. Today was kind of a normal day. I set a goal to finish my requirements before noon, and completed that goal! My family and I jogged/ran a mile together at about 7:00am, so that was finished early! I am planning to work on my "art doll" for my new skill today! (details in my last blog entry). I also started to learn how to control negative thoughts about myself/others when i get really frustrated/angry/jealous.

Today was just a kinda normal Sunday nothing much happened exept the only thing that happened was my brother had a birthday party that I probably ran 10 miles at running from super hyper children with supercharged nerd guns so pretty normal i guess

Today I woke up feeling sore from my exercises & the 5K yesterday. I started my day by going to church then I had lunch. After lunch I started working on my exercises and pushed through to get everything completed even though I was sore. Then I went with my mom and sister to get shaved ice which was very good and we went to the park where I decided to do extra exercises just for fun. Very hot did 5.1 miles today and did it at the wrong time (noon) not to smart but need to get use to the heat when August comes in with a roar. Need to work on double stick , bolo, and since we changed the numbering of second Dan one steps I have to get that set now also. Today has been very hard. It is my first day doing the requirements for the black belt cycle. I did not expect all the work and the routine that me and my dad did. I have to catch up because I missed yesterday because I had to go to Mooresville to play in the Powerade State Games for soccer.
Last night I had a sleep over so it was a little harder to finish my requirements. But I still got them done. I feel good about what I am doing.
So I posted Saturday tine and it went to Sunday then tried again and it went to Friday so all my time for Saturday King Tiger race and forms went to Friday, tired and just left it as is, will try to fix later today after I get some things completed. I didn’t get to go to the King Tiger 5K today because I was returning from vacation. This is the first one that I’ve missed since they began. I’m sure everyone had a good time. I also didn’t get to do as many requirements as I would have liked because it was a travel day, but I’m giving myself permission not to worry about it. I’m glad to see that the required numbers have changed. Thanks Master Evins and Inst. Uczen! I still have over 100,000 pushups and sit-ups, but that’s better than 190,000….
Today was the first day of the black belt cycle! I am so excited for everything to come! Today was tough, it was hard to realize how hard everything is. The push ups were the hardest. I knocked out 50 at different times, but after that it was difficult to do anymore. With a little perseverance I was able to finish. Talk to you guys Monday.-Evan

June 21 2014 today the "King Tiger 5k"took place,I ran in this race with my dad(Stuart) we both finished with a time of 30 minutes and 40 seconds, thanks to all who ran this race with me and all the others to the finish. I believe this helped me realize that I really need to work on my leg muscles because I took a lot of pain from the run mainly in the hamstrings because i'm not that flexible but i'm trying to fix that. I also realized I need to build up the endurance in my legs, biceps, and triceps why you ask because when I went to go to push-ups I did 35 then said "oh man if I stay like this i'm gonna die in the test!"I also Highly need to work on pull-ups I don't want to even talk about those. Last day on the beach and last day to leisurely do my requirements. I’m going to have to find that extra two hours a day to fit those requirements in. It will take a little time to work out a routine but I know I can do it because I’ve done it before and so has lots of other black belts that were on a cycle. Just got to believe!
I decided to take today as a relax day. I got home from work and mow my lawn, my neighbors lawn and the common area , then meet up with a friend name Samuel ,nick name Irish red. And check my bags for next week.
Tomorrow is the 5K! Didn't get to run today, so looking forward to getting in a little extra tomorrow. I have only been going about 2miles a day during the week. Had some soreness today from my Top Team work out last night. Moved up to 15 lb kettle bells, so I am feeling it today. Going into the school early on Wednesdays and Fridays so that Conrad can go to Cross Fit. It is a good time for me to do some jump ropes, burpees, etc. Next week I will be doing them with my counselors and summer campers that are on the cycle..whoo Hoo!

Added in the credits that we got for going to the GoodWill games yesterday. Fun to see the numbers change, even if not by much percentage-wise. Have run 9 of the last 11 days! Short runs, but it is a start. Lost a couple of pounds too. Happy face! Worked out 4 days already this week with Master Schneider, but now she has work peeps coming in town and will have to miss a few of our scheduled work outs. Sad face!
Today was a nice day out on the beach. There was a nice breeze blowing. I really enjoy sitting on the beach watching people. Seeing all of the kids having fun on the beach makes me smile. I’ve done a lot of requirements this week so it’s really frustrating to look at the “Left” column. The numbers don’t seem to move. Maybe I should just focus on the “Total” column.
