Whoosh

Today...... What happened today? Well, it started off dark, then got light, then dark again. Some days it seems that way, the day flies by and I don't even realize it's gone. They say, the days go by faster as you get older because of the lack of new experiences in your life. So the ticket would be, do something different every day. Probably trickier then it sounds. I can't even think of a new skill that's not lame. Connor and I were ready to kill each other on the run. I told him the days of doing one mile a day are at an end. He felt whole heartedly that I couldn't do math and we had plenty of time to run single mileage days. So the second mile consisted of me practically kicking him along the road for him to run another mile. The few neighbors we have were probably glad that they don't have young kids anymore. Seeing me out there cussing like a drill sergeant must have been a sight. But, in the end, he was glad to input 2 miles into his requirements tonight. He or I can't seem to find any green on the requirements board. Just when the numbers are looking good, the bar flips back to orange or red. I'll find that green bar if I have to paint it on my computer screen myself. Lets see what else, the tree is still alive. Tonight I found out how much that tree costs. Some food fell out of my mouth at dinner when she told me. Now I'll admit, I'm a little frugal. I don't squeak when I walk, but there does need to be a good reason to buy something that is not needed. Katherine (wifie) wants to buy a bike that doesn't go anywhere. You know, the type for spin classes but it ends up being used to hang clothing. I'm pretty against buying it, but I'm also in favor of eating dinner. So we will have to find a of compromise that will satisfy my cheapness but still gets what she wants. Most likely it will appear in the basement when Connor and I come back from instructors camp. "Look what I got for us" will be the declaration. Ummm, thanks? Can't stand stationary bikes or treadmills. Working hard and going nowhere. That's called a job with corporate America. Good night and God bless my friends.
