Fortunately, the world is not coming to an end, so don't threat over my title. It is the 22nd of February, which is also the birthday of George Washington (1st president for you non-history folks). We had Grand Master Lee come to our dojang last night and it was phenomenal. It's always inspiring and humbling when he teaches, as it gives me so much incentive to keep learning more and to keep striving to be a better instructor. I'm sure the math is on everyone's radar as where we are in the cycle. If you are not a math person, guess what, it won't go away. It's like when I dress myself from my wardrobe that's been around for 30 years, and my sons look at me as if I was wearing my under-garmets on the outside. I tell them, there is no improving this, it just is. I'm sure those clothes will eventually come back in fashion (on a different planet).
I'm reading a lot of sickness out there. That definitely makes the cycle much harder. One word of advice is look at your intake. If you are going through all this but still eating garbage, ie. fast food, processed foods, sweets, drinking sodas and Monsters, and thinking that your workouts will even out the scales, you are doing yourself a disservice. You are on a journey of self improvement, stepping up to a new level and a higher plane of performance. Give yourself every advantage you can and quit using your stomach as a garbage disposal. Your body will get stronger, your mind will be clearer, and you will stop being so sick so often. There is a story on every box of food you or your parents buy. And that story is called ingredients. A good rule of thumb, if you cannot pronounce the ingredient, then it's not really food. Make it a happy story.
The count down is happening. Run hard. Pull up hard. Poomsae hard. Self defense hard. Be hard. Give yourself a chance to look back and say, "Man, that sucked, but I'm harder for it." Let's Rock this Thing!! See you on the other end. There's room service there
