Have tons of homework. This stuff is killing me, i dont even know how im managing. After coming home from drivers ed I had to jump straight into some jump ropes and and get some sparring rounds in with my "shadow." Did the normal pushups and situps for today and did a couple extra poom saes though.
I was reviewing my numbers and noticed that my self defense total was six hundred sixty-six. I quickly did one more each of white & high-white SD.
I am always telling my Culinary Students to use time when they have it. I am having to follow my own words these days with a very busy schedule. Today I attended the mid-day class at the North Charlotte Dojang. I stayed after where it is much better to work out than in our family room. I then came home and went for a run which was much better than I thought it was going to be on such a dreary day. I will continue reading Deuteronomy this evening when I get home from teaching Concepts & Theories.
Well, a rainy day means a day on the treadmill – I accomplished several of my daily requirements early this morning, still have miles and pull-ups to do. I wanted to get most everything done early since I’ll be in Black Belt class tonight. Have you guys noticed that we have videos on the website now? Thanks Master Evins, Master Burkart, and Inst. I was able to utilize the time between teaching sessions well to do requirements. Totally miss going to the Dojang on a Monday and knocking off leadership, mentoring and sparring rounds though. I could not pass on the 10 hours of week of additional income however.
I am still sore and tired from Master Cann's class. I am continuing to rest and recover.
today there was no school I got some stuff done especially jump rope i had a lot of time to get requirements done today
Today was a good day for training. I started my work day this morning at 5:30am (after I finished my pushups, situps, burpees, self defense, and poomsaes). Since I started early, I finished early, which gave me more time to train. I love to see the numbers left go down!
I was blind today. It was really annoying. I was still able to get my requirements done with my parents help. I didn't like being blind.
I did most of my requirements before 2 today and worked on two of my essays too. It was cold outside and not conducive to many miles, but I went for a quick walk and then went to the YMCA and ran/walked on the treadmill and the track later in the afternoon. I don't like the treadmill. I still don't know how I'm going to get down to the 24 minutes. Not feeling too confident about the upcoming physical test yet. I expect I will be feeling the effects of yesterday's sparring more tomorrow than today. Still need to get some meditation in before I go to bed tonight.
Was a great day.. Went by soo fast! Well tomorrow there is no school so thats good. Illvbe able to do plenty of pushups and situps tomorrow
Well, the snow is almost gone, but it was nice to at least see some before winter is over. J I went out to get a couple of miles in and it was COLD, especially when the wind blew. I’ve done all of my daily requirements and even a few extra. I was slow getting started but I accomplished what I set out to do. I still have some time to work on my essays!

Watched the Michigan basketball game today, great win over Penn State! A trick my mom taught me is that if Michigan makes it, then do sit-ups. I they miss do push-ups. If the other team makes it, do push-ups. If the other team misses do sit-ups. And during commercials do whatever our behind on. I ended up doing 150 push-ups, 175 sit-ups and 16 self defenses. Pretty good for just 2 hours.
Unfortunately, no Sunday training with Master Cann; my knee hurts too much for fighting today but ill get some miles in walking and some sit-ups if my knee can bend that far. At least it's not my ankle this time:P
I am in the first stage of being absent for most of the next 8 days. We had our St Mark's Vestry (governing body of an Episcopal Church) Retreat this weekend. The prayerful reflection and discernment was wonderful. We were in a beautiful setting further north and watched the snow approach as we prayerfully ended our weekend and prepared to head home. A few of us had hoped to go for a late afternoon run after the meetings but the snow deterred us. Ergo, I will have to go for a rare Sunday run. I will begin teaching an evening Concepts & Theories Class for the next 6 weeks starting this Monday & Tuesday. There isn't a class on Thursday night so I will not get a weekday BB Class this week. I should be there mid-day Tuesday. I hope everyone has a Blessed Sunday, Take Sabbath, it is one of the Ten Commandments.
From 7am with Kyra's test to past 4pm with Master Cann's seminar I was on the move. Master Cann's Seminar was a 4 hour sparring class work out. I am very tired. And very sore. I hope I didn't over do it. Time will tell.
It was a peaceful day today.. Got more than enough yesterday and today. got a bunch of self defenses and kicks in. Friday i met with master knight and got to know some hapkido!
Great sparring class today! I enjoyed going and will probably be sore tomorrow. On addition for it being a great class, it decided to snow! After having dinner with some good friends, of the family, I did some more push-ups, sit-ups, self defenses, and poomsaes. A great welcome to the official 6th week of the cycle!
What a day! From little tigers, to walking with Inst. Randle while it was snowing, to black belt class, to Master Cann's sparring seminar, I came home and did pushups and sit-ups, but not much else. I'm really glad Inst. Randle decided to come to the sparring seminar. We missed you Inst. Lloyd. I feel my muscles tightening up. I could probably sleep really late tomorrow, but probably won't. Too much to do.
today I went to the sparring seminar we did a lot of kicks and sparring rounds I got to spar some people that i didn't know it was fun but really hard.
This morning,I wasn't at Black Belt class because I had to take a test.Halie took it too.The test wasn't too bad.From there,I came straight to the Sparring Siminar.Unfortunately,I forgot my sparring gear.Luckily,I used the school's gear.Otherwise,the siminar was fun.I still don't know what requirements it counts for though.ButI'll figure it out on Monday.It has been a great Saturday.
Today was a really full day! Requirements, then Little Tigers, got in a mile with Inst. Dege (walking in the snow), Black Belt class and then the Master Cann sparring seminar! I’m tired, but in a good way. J I really enjoyed the sparring seminar. And then when it was time to go home, there was snow! Yay! The perfect end to a busy day.
I had so much fun with Master Cann! I really needed a good hard workout, but it showed me how out of shape I am (in a sparring sense). Hopefully I'll be back to train with her tomorrow, but it'll depend on my knee. On that note, I think the gym is canceled today since it won't bend.
Not feeling motivated today. Did some, but not all. Tomorrow's full day will take a lot of energy too, but should be fun. We are at the half way mark of ten weeks and most requirements are at or above goal. Still a few need extra attention. They will get it eventually, maybe soon, but time is going by so fast.

Things in my life are looking a tiny bit better. And my body is relieved to feel some of the stress being removed. I am hardly out of the woods, but I finally in over 2 weeks feel like I am on the upswing on how my body feels. But after tomorrow's seminar I might take all that back :) . I am also happy that my sticks coordination is improving. Doing PMAA class is harder for me that calculus. Wierd.
Tommorow,I have to take a test.I am in DUKE TIP.I hope I do well on my test.I met with both my mentor and my mentee this afternoon.I will be at The Sparring Siminar tommorow.But I will have to wake up early tommorow,so I'm going to bed now.
I can not believe we are already 5 weeks in. It seems like I just went to the black belt meeting last month! I believe I am doing well requirement wise. I defiantly need to get to some more classes and so more self defenses. Maybe it's just everything else that's going on but everything Seems to be going so fast.

Thursday is my long day. I didn't get up too early this morning, but still got some requirements in. Went right from work to Tae Kwon Do Plus, to Black Belt class, to PMAA. I've done as much as I'm going to do today, so back at it tomorrow. It is awesome watching numbers go down. Looking forward to Master Cann's sparring workout on Saturday.
Today was a better day for requirements – I was able to get everything done and even a little extra! I’m done for the day and it’s only 6:30pm. I think for a Valentine’s Day gift to myself, I’m going to relax a little and spend a little time with my family.
....my ankles are achy, my thighs are rubber, my knees keep me awake at night, my right ulna is bruised, my shoulders are stiff, and I absolutely love it. dadgum home internet is malfunctioning again. Darn ATT!

Did not get as much done today as I would have liked, but my body is telling me it needs to rest. I'm going to listen for a change. Tomorrow is another day, but the remaining tomorrows are limited, so they need to be used wisely.
I did some requirements this morning. I was in a meeting from 8:30am till 9:30pm so I didn’t get all of my daily requirements done, although I did my kicks during a break in the meeting. J Luckily, I’m ahead on the things I didn’t get to today.
Since today is the day before Valentine's day,I want to call today Valentine's day eve.I got a bunch of valentines from my Girl Scout friends.I just can't wait for tomorrow.Mommy didn't feel well today,so we didn't going to class today and I didn't get any leadership credits in.But I did run 3.3 miles this afternoon.I also gave Daddy three RESSES cups as a RAOK.They are his favorite candy.
Great day today... not much homework to do today so i got extra done yesterday and today. I need to start going to more pmaa classes now.

So far this has been the best Black Belt cycle for me. I seem to be working hard at requirements, but how could I not. The time in the day is limited, but getting up but a little earlier to complete some requirements has made such a big difference in how enormous the requirements seem to me. While at this point, I'd likely fail my physical test, I do feel stronger in some ways. I have had more help and encouragement from my family this time rather than the constant reminder that I'm never home. I can't do the run in the allotted time yet, but my husband has been working on that and can do it now. My cousin does the pushups and sit ups with her 2 year old son and runs with and without him. We email back and forth to keep each other accountable. I was able...
From this day forward,I'm going to make a routine for my requirements before I go to bed.After I do my normal night routine,I will then do a certain amount of requirements until a certain time.If I do this each night,then I will eventually catch up on my stuff.
All daily requirements are complete and I’m getting ready for black belt class. That means any physical stuff we do in black belt class is extra! J
It is mid-afternoon Tuesday and I have most of my requirements for the day complete. We have church dinner function @ 18:00 so I will be pushing to be on time for the 19:30 BB Class. Ergo, I got my run in before the 11:30 class and stayed after to do all my requirements and get a mentoring session with Master Conrad Hartle. Next week my work schedule changes and I will not be able to attend Tuesday evenings. I am really glad I am ahead on Weekday BB classes & PMAA classes. Now I have to figure out how to catch up on Sparring Classes.
Today it was really hard to get up and get motivated. I was so tired that I slept through my alarm. All I did before work was eight pull ups. That sure made for a long evening. I got help with self defense which was nice. I've gotten encouragement on the running and friendly competition on the pull ups, so that helps to make it more fun.
I have been running all day. Speech Therapy, pediatrician, taekwondo, choir. I am exhausted. Tomorrow I have to go to the Ear, Nose and throat. I think my son is losing his hearing in at least one ear. I am so so worried. I hope to be back in full steam by Wednesday.
had another very good monday. worked with my mentee in addition to a multitude of requirements. finished the day/evening with sparring rounds with the Masters Hartle & Hartle.
Today was great! I had a lot of spare time and got more than enough done today. Still my leg was hurting so i could only run one mile and it wasnt fun as i couldnt bend my leg. Still got extra requirements done.
I can't beleive its already 4 weeks into the cycle! I'm pretty well caught up on things, I defiantly need to do more journals, self-defenses, pullups, and running. Although I have already exceeded the limit for meditation, basic kicks and RAOK's, I am still going to do more of them so I can have the full black belt experience.
I had a hard time getting started today. Didn't really feel like doing much, but I did a little bit all day long. Figured out who to do one of my essays on, so now I just have to do get that done. I looked up answers to the test questions and found most of them. At least that was productive. Need to do some digging for the rest and then study the answers too.
Yesterday,I got back from a camping trip with my friends.It was fun,exept for the fact that I got sick yesterday.But I'm ok today.Today,my family and I were out almost all day,so I didn't get to do much today.Plus I had to clean my room.But I still did 100 burpees/squathrats.I plan on doing that every day to stay on track.As for everything else,I'll push myself to get everything done.
today i got one of my essays dome it took me all day it really hard to think with my parents cleaning but i still did some requirnments , so that good right.
It was a little tough getting started this morning because I was sore. But after I got loosened up, I got it done. It wasn’t a typical marathon Sunday, but I still got quite a bit done (even if it did take a little longer than usual J). And I was able to finish my essay on the book I’ve been reading too. Tomorrow is the start to another week!
Couldnt do some stuff including running today and doing burpees. Got hurt yesterday in sparring on my leg.. So had to modify my jump rope to one leg only also. Still got other stuff done that didnt put too much pressure on my leg.
I'm just getting sicker, but I guess I'll run anyway haha. I hate being held back like this by my own body.
A Stomach Virus is running through the house. Kyra and Kai are hit. I am still fighting through personal issues that are affecting me physically. I'm so tired, the Lord is my strength.
Quite the full day today. Started early with household chores & visit to recycling center. Then headed to the Dojang for a 3 mile run, requirements, BB Class & Sparring Class. Then came home to prep and deliver some Cajun/Creole Cuisine for a Mardi Gras Party up on the lake. I imagine I will sleep very well tonight. Unfortunately, I will have to miss next Saturday due to a St Mark's Vestry (Governing Body of an Episcopal Church) Retreat. Serving God does come first. I really enjoyed Master Kahn's seminar last year & was looking forward to this one. On to week 5!
Today started early with requirements before going to teach Little Tigers class, then some miles with Inst. Dege, black belt class, and then more requirements. In black belt class, we got in lots of poomsaes and some self defense. We also practiced our falls and rolls. I was doing pretty well with the rolls until they brought out the juk do. We were supposed to jump roll over the juk do that was being aimed at our ankles. Although Master Evins cautioned us not to be afraid of the juk do, I must have been worried I was going to get hit because I rolled over my head instead of my shoulder. So now, my neck hurts. I’m sure it will be okay after some Aleve and heat. J

Four weeks have come and gone. I still have some thing that I need to learn, essays to write, studying to do, and of course plenty of requirements left, but I'm feeling good about my progress so far. I'm having a time trying to figure out a book to read that interests me. I have started several and they just don't seem like what I'm looking for. I need to make more time for my new skill too.
One day at a time. The stress of some personal things in my life is causing an autoimmune flair up and I am in some pain. But I am trying to push through.

TGIF…it’s only 5:30pm and all of my daily physical requirements are complete. It’s such a relief to have them done for the day. I went outside and walked for 2 miles, it was a little breezy, but it was nice outside. I got in several random acts moving trashcans out of the street and picking up trash. J
Took my first Tae Kwon Do Plus class today, then Black Belt Class, then PMAA. I'm thirsty after all that. Tired too. I think it's time to rest before getting up to do it again tomorrow. It will be nice when the weather is a little more consistently nice to be able to workout outside.
Light workout this morning, taught classes from 08:30 to 19:00 and then went to classes. Good day. Shoudl get some good numbers tomorrow.

I have done PMAA class twice this week. I feel so uncoordinated. I am tired. I hope to do a lot of catching up on Friday and Sunday. We will see how it goes.
Today I had a basketball game and this game was very important, because it decided our standing in the tournament. We were down in the first quarter, and I knew we had to do something. I wasn't tired or anything so when they threw a pass, I stole it and ran down the court passed it my teammate for two points. And even after we had won I was staton to feel tired but doing all these push-ups and sit-ups and running have helped me become better at much more than just tae kwon do.
Had so much homework today that i couldnt even attend black belt class today. I still found some time after I came back from school to finish my requirements for the day. Ready to go to bed after i finish another 20 min of homework.
I didn’t get a lot of my requirements done this morning before work because I had to do some work BEFORE I went to work. L Then I had to sit in an all day meeting! So when I got home, I had lots left to do. I began working on them as soon as I got home – poomsaes, self-defense, kicks, jump rope, sparring, pull-ups, and of course, I had to do my miles on the treadmill because it was raining. But I persevered and got ‘em done! I much prefer starting the day with requirements, as opposed to ending the day with them. I have a lot more energy in the morning and then I have a sense of satisfaction for the entire day. J
Today was a good day. I completed a good chunk of requirements this morning before going to work, I felt like I accomplished something at work, helped with Jr. Tigers, worked with my mentee, then came home and worked on more requirements. Maybe I can get in some quiet time too.

Wednesdays start early (04:00) and end late (21:00) but are really great days. I got to the LKN Dojang by 17:00 and stayed until 21:00 which allowed me time to run, jump rope, do requirements, participate in 3 straight classes for leadership credits and lots of Poomsaes and then 20 rounds of sparring with Masters Conrad & Chelley Hartle. I cannot thank the Hartles enough for all of their support while I am on cycle. The same thanks goes out to Masters Evins, Cavazos, Burkhart, Richie and instructor Torres; all whom have been very helpful and supportive.
This morning,I met with my mentee and got leadership credits in.That afternoon,I did my miles.I just hope that I will cath up on my stuff.
Thank goodness for the middle of the week! It’s been a rough week at work this week, but I’ve still gotten my requirements done. As a matter of fact, I look forward to doing the requirements to relieve the stress. J And teaching the Junior Tigers class always makes me smile!
It was a pretty good day today. It was a good weather in the afternoon for some running and jump rope outside. Planning on meeting with mentee today.

I had the day off from teaching and the catering business which allowed me a lot of time to focus on the cycle. the only downside for the day on Tuesday was that our DSL was down in the evening which meant I had to wait to make my entries. the bonus for the day was Michael Snaer hitting the game winning basket as time expired for FSU's win over GT.
Had a really nice visit with my parents, but they left to go home this morning, so back to requirements. I even slacked off on the getting up early that was working so well for me. I need to get back into that. It was nice to have most of my pushups for today done before I went to work. Some of the areas where I had built up a little cushion have gone down, but time to build that back up. I don't like to be exactly on target. If I have a little cushion, I don't feel so guilty about taking it easy. It would be nice to have a big enough cushion by Instructors Camp to not feel guilty about not completing all requirements those days. Surely they will be full enough. I'm going to work on that cushion more.
Got stuff done. The day moved really slow. I moved really slow. It was just a slow day.

Other than going to church, with the parents in town I totally blew off Super Bowl Sunday. The upside is I got right back to it today. Taught Concepts & Theories this morning and spent the afternoon catching up on business & requirements. I then met with my mentee, helped with a late afternoon class, the family class and led warm-ups in our Adult Black Belt Class. Then did 20 rounds with Masters Chelley & Conrad Hartle. I am looking forward to another strong day tomorrow.

It took a long time to get done what I did today. I really missed my workout with Inst. Randle too. It seems to go by much faster with a friend. I went running today, rather than walking, and will really need to pick up the pace. I am not even close to most of my physical targets yet and that is a little discouraging. I guess that's where the perseverance comes in. According to Benjamin Franklin, energy and persistence conquer all things. I could use some extra energy.

I got quite a bit done today after 4+ hours of training and over a gallon of water. I can really knock out a lot of requirements when I go down in the basement with my jump rope, mats, music and wave master bag! I missed my training buddy, Inst. Dege, but I still managed to keep myself busy. J I also worked on staff forms and stick forms outside since it was such a nice day. I really, really like seeing my “done” total go up and my “Left” number go down!
I've already done 150 push-ups, 150 sit-ups, 9pullups, 150 kicks, 20'poomsaes, 20 self defenses, and alswho practiced basketball for a little and cleaned the house. Now I can watch the Super Bowl without the feeling that I need to be doing a lot of push-ups and sit-ups.
Had fun in Little Tigers today. I got to be Jimmy's family. Then after class I worked with Zack on balance and did some requirements. We worked on staff forms in black belt class today and poomsaes. After class Inst. Randle and I went for a walk. Thanks Connie! I went for another walk with my mother later. Jeremy's birthday is tomorrow. I hope it's a good day.

Today was such a crazy day that I just HAD to write a jounal today.There were SOOO many kids in JR. INSTRUTERS CAMP.But I still had a lot of fun today.The girls dressing room was stuffded with luggage.Barely enough room to change.Today I got a mentor meeting in after sparring class.Master Kim taught me first dan self defense.I am still behind on my requirements.

Great class today! I needed a lot of help with my staff poomsaes so I am glad I got to work on them today. Also a good sparring class very helpful drills. Some more requirements and lots of cleaning and this day will soon be over.
My parents are visiting for a long weekend. Today was a good day and it was really nice to spend time with them. Hopefully we will get outside and walk tomorrow afternoon. I doubt this will be a big catching up weekend. Luckily there are only a few things that I am behind in. I hope we have more little tigers in class tomorrow.
