The White Belt Challenge was pretty easy because I already knew everything for white belt. But it was a different experience because I was a white belt eight years ago and I didn't know anything about Tae Kwon Do eight years ago. It feels different now because now I am a black belt and I do advance poomsaes and self-defences. And a white belt doesn't do advance black belt stuff. But it was pretty fun being a white belt all over again.
I am trying really hard to get as much of my requirements as I can done before school. I have upped my numbers by a lot. It is a little overwhelming but I will be less overwhelmed if I don't have to deal with those along with homework and not having the whole day to get stuff done.
It's Monday and I am so happy to be back!!! Awesome night at South Charlotte- - -the incredible Inst. Tucker took care of her misfits - -yup that would be Jerome & I - -with mentoring - -that is a challenge with us - -we laugh a lot - - -then had black belt & PMAA class. Great night and even better Master Chin taught PMAA. Looking forward to tomorrow and want to stay on track with the requirements.
Well this is officially my WORST first day of school. During Open House my classmates and me schedule's didn't have 1st and 2nd period. So when I went to school today there was a huge line to get our schedules. It took me 20 mins to get my schedule. My new schedule had it's own problems, like 3 1st periods and no 5th period. It was so confusing that 13 of my classmates were in the wrong 1st period class. After that everything went smooth until 5th period. Nobody's schedule had a 5th period except one, and his was wrong. So for 30 mins our class was trying to find what teacher we had. Then a teacher got us and we played a game, and we still don't even know who we have for 5th period. Today I went to my grandma`s house. Me and grandma did a few things. We went to the grocery store,Michael`s,and Home Depot. Then when we got home after we unpacked the groceries. We took a nap. Then I practiced my guitar. Then my mom picked me up to go to guitar lessons. Then my dad picked me up to take me to Taekwondo. Sadly I missed hyper class.

When I went to my mom's school today I played MInecraft. I played it for about 1 hour and a half then I read a book titled Hoot. It is about Roy, the main character sees a boy running with no shoes and beat up clothes.

I hurt my ankle yesterday afternoon. It was still hurting today so I did not do many requirements. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.
I drove back home from the mountains today. We went kayaking yesterday and my arms are so sore because I did most of the paddling. It was a lot of fun though and we got to go swimming for a pretty long time. I went for a walk/jog when I got home. I did 2 miles but it felt like a lot longer.

Today will be my last day of Summer Vacation. I can't believe my vacation is already over. I am excited for the new school year, but there gonna so much homework. My school hasn't even told me my first and second classes of the day. I have done a lot this Summer, like going to Chattanooga, TN, Robotics Camp, Scuba Diving, etc. I mean school was going to start no matter what. At least used my Summer wisely and had fun! I have had a great but busy week in Charleston, SC. The schedule, at our military association reunion , being so hectic made it difficult for me to really work on my requirements. I realized much rest was needed.

today was an awesome day i woke up and took a run when i went back home my dad wasn't home but my little cousin came to my house because my mom was babysitting him he's about like 4 years old but eh he was annoying because as soon as he came he went running upstairs to play the drum and he played so loud i couldn't even here the tv from down stairs i went up stairs and told him to be more careful with the drum sit he said ok and he was playing with his car but as soon as we got done i went to church and when i came back my aunt came to pick my cousin up so he got picked up and then i was watching a martial arts movie on netflix an down im doing my journals and now to go to bed...
Very productive day again and yup I like that, just wish it could be the norm on the TKD front. Tired though so early to bed tonight and looking forward to a good week.

This weekend was good . We did lots of cool stuff. On Friday we woke up and went to my brothers soccer practice. At the end of the last practice he got his shirt sighed by his British coaches. Also today I did all the pomsaes and self defense. Plus on Saturday I got to do a Black Belt class with Mater Hamma that was very cool. This Weekend was awesome can not wait for Monday. I let my wife talk me into running today at 1:30. Bad idea. I know it isn't as hot as it as it has been this summer, but in the full sun I was burning up. I didn't make it very far at all without having to walk some. I am going to have to keep up with my running this week to be ready for Saturday's 10K.
Happy Sunday! I'm on my way to the coffee shop to finish up my big essay on The Prehistory of Korea. I plan to have that essay and at least 3 more completed before the pretest on August 29th. I'm still a little wiped out from yesterday's training, but plan to run and do push-ups and sit-ups this afternoon.

Went to sparring class today, and Master Hama taught it. It was really cool to be taught by someone who does Olympic sparring, and tough. I was so tired after the class.
So happy to be back in class. Great day today and very productive- -mentor session - -bb class - -sparring class and I survived!!! Yup I was tired and ran out of steam but it was awesome - -bummed out I will not be hear next Saturday, or Thursday, to work with Master Hama but have to take care of some family business. He was fantastic to take class with and I am finally getting a better understanding of sparring - -now if I just could get my body to move quick enough I would be in good shape. A lot accomplished today on both the TKD front and domestics so happy camper am I today.

Teacher workdays are over. We have an open house tomorrow and half day on Mon. I hope this year is as good as last. I am a little excited and a little bummed summer is over.
When I was walking my dog, a person rode up on his skateboard and Tyson, my dog kept pulling the leash to try to catch to him! It was very hard because he is a strong dog. Soon he forgot about it. After a couple walked passed us and Tyson did not hear them and he freaked out! It was very funny.

Today at school we did a lab in science. We are going to do 3 labs next week.In social studies, we are going to do current events. I have the best day ever.
I am able to bend my leg 126 degrees. I only have about 10 more degrees until I can bend it the same as the other one. At PT today, I did a lot of dynamic stretches and I will have to continue to do them every day. I am leaving today to go up to the mountains with my uncle and cousin so I will still keep up with my requirements there.
Tuesday was upsetting, i went to try-out for my school's tennis team. My school's website said tryouts were at Northmeck Highschool because our school having the tennis courts repair. So i went on at the time the website said ant waited, nobody showed up. After calling to both Northmeck and Hopewell, i was told that the information on the website was from last year and they had no idea when try-outs were. Then they gave me the tennis coach number and told me to ask her, i called the number and and person who answered was not the coach and said i had the wrong number. Finally two days later my tennis coach for the summer called the school and was finally able to get the tennis try-out date (which is this Monday). But for now on if i see information on the school website, im going to call and confirmed...
Today me and my friends brother swapped places. My brother was with my friends brother, and i was with my friend and his other brother. I had a fun time in there pool and also we played a little outside. Then i had to go home and rest to get ready for tae kwon do.

Today I was able to get quite a bit accomplished. Worked with my mentor, took black belt class and then PMAA class. After standing on the mat for 3 hours my back and knees are killing me. I'll get a massage tomorrow and hopefully be ready to train with Master Hama on Saturday. I paid my registration fee for the PMAA beach training and paid for Master Hama's sparring class tonight. Made it through hump day of my first work week back. It is nice to be back with my colleagues, but It is still tough to get up. I keep falling asleep when I get home. I heed to make it through so I don't stay up late. I have to break the cycle.
Today at summer camp we saw Mall Cop 2 at King Tiger. I don`t know why we did not go to the movie theater.
I tried jogging for the first time in a few weeks. I was able to do it normally but it still hurt so I didn't go for very long. I also volunteered for the last time this summer today. I was kind of sad but I had a lot of fun this summer working with Holy Angels residents. I also almost had to go to urgent care because I stubbed my toe on the base of a bag and my heart started beating insanely fast and hard. This has happened before and I went to a cardiologist who said that the next time it happens, I needed to have a test done. Well, I left class early to go get the test done at urgent care but my heart stopped pounding in the car on the way there!!!

So happy I will be home later today but embarrassed to say it will be straight to bed. Admitting it, beyond exhausted and have to recharge. The physical aspects of these shows is gruling however thankful I am still able to do it. Funny occurance that I am sure some will get a laugh, our staff got introduced to spark for the first time, lets just say my supply I had with me was wiped out. Guess canisters of spark will be added to show supply list :).

Great poomsae class today! All of that time practicing with Master Moon, aka Wifey, in Africa paid off. I'll have to practice more on the minor details for WTF poomsaes and I'm so lucky to have her as reference. I'll have to practice harder so that when she gets here stateside, we'll be able to compete in pairs poomsae. Of all the years I've despised practicing forms, I've grown to like it more as I'm less likely prone to injury than sparring. :) Here is another picture from Africa. Today was pretty busy, I didn't get to stay at home for very long. I went with my mom to drop off my brother at his camp and then, we went straight to an orthodontist appointment. After that, we went home so that I could get my uniform and other stuff I needed for class. I had therapy right after that and it went very well. We had to go pick up my brother too and then I went to Belmont. I helped with the 4:30 and 5:30 classes and I took the 6:30 black belt class. I really enjoyed helping with the classes today because we got to think of about 15 different ways to do Kwon Sool. In black belt class, we did a lot of poomsaes and worked on the changes to Koryo.
Had fun tonight in class. Master Shin is on vacation so Mrs. Pam and other black belts help to teach the classes. I got a lot of my requirements done.

I spent this morning at the Tea Plantation in Charleston, SC tasting tea and finding out that there is one tea leaf that makes many different blends.. It's all about going through a process . I thought it took different tea leaves for the diversed tea blends. I guess you live and learn. Returned to our hotel deengergized from the heat and humidity. I think maybe to do a few requirements . Then it will be bedtime.
schools starting on thursday for me!ahhh! I think i had a nice summer though.I had a camp at Queens university, were we swam 6 hours.Than my sisters and I went to Europe by ourselfs,that was fu.n. My twin and I stayed with our Grandparents in France for two weeks(by ourselfs). than we went home as UM's(unaccomanied minors) and that was fun. Than we had a cooking camp at cpcc, and that was really fun too. And than, our aunt and her freind came and we went to new York together. I'm back in full swing and enjoying every convenience that I didn't have in Africa including unlimited internet service. :) From this past weekend, I was able to take black belt class and learned Hapkido techniques 21 through 32. Hooray! Following black belt class, I taught sparring class. Very surprised and honored that Master Shin took my class. Today I did all of my daily requirements and played outside with my friends. After a while we played inside for a while and then I had to go to Tae Kwon Do. After that I ate dinner. I had a fun day today.
