Today was a great pre-test, I felt like I did very well and I feel I need to get a lot stronger which I will. We ate with our King Tiger Belmont family at firehouse subs and it was awesome.
Woo, feels goo to get the pre test done, i was so nervous this morning. The physical part was great i did 20 push ups in the row, that my best ever!! But i need to work on my study guide questions thou, i know i failed the written test.
today was alright i woke up in the morning and was studying for my written exam i was worried i woke up at like 5:00am it was hard trying to study but i got the hang of it remembered just a couple of stuff couldn't do a lot because i had other tasks to do like walk my dog and make breakfast and all that but today was the pre test i think i had all 4 s on my poomsaes but nah i got a 2 i got mad and i knew i idid it all good!! but no i got a 2 i didn't even know why and thats what ruined my whole entire day i felt like not doing requirements and i kept saying to myself it was a nice try but i didn't do any requirements today not at all i got 2 and now to redo...
Today was a fun day because it was my first black belt pre test. I did pretty good on the physical part of the test, but not sure on the written exam. After that I ate lunch and stared on my physical requirements. And then we went out for dinner. I had a really fun day today.
Today was the pretest, Yay! It was tiring but so worth it. Doing the pretest today gave you the feel that the cycle has actually begun and how much you need to reach when the acual test is here.
The pre test has come and gone and I am tired. 4 miles is a LONG run! I actually ran all the way to 485 because I never saw the Pizza Hut! By the time I got back to the dojang I had gone about 5 miles total. When I got home I finished my essay on the Prehistory of Korea. Very productive day! Tomorrow I'll start another essay.
Right now I just added everything in that I didn't put in (long time) so the numbers might be really night and others really low. Socyeah just in case you see my stuff, here's the explanation.
AhhHhh.....Pretest over. I'm glad I wasn't to out of shape with the running, 1.5 in 13.01 seconds. I was very exhausted in the end. I did a lot better in my sit ups than in my push ups.
Today was ok. I was really tired at the end of the run, and the push ups. I was happy with my time for the ripen, but I'll try harder next time.
I had the black belt pre-test today. I ran a mile in 9 minutes and 9 seconds. We did push-ups, sit-ups, burpees, pull-ups, forms, and self-defenses.
The Pretest today was challenging and I'm glad it's over. My focus shifts towards getting my students ready to ensure they know their material in October. We basically have two full months to get ready! It's going to be a thriller night since it's on Halloween this year!
Today was a fun day , I got tired but lots of fun. We realized things were more difficult than they seemed. The pre test was a great measuring tool to be ready for the test.
Wow what a day!!! Happy with the pre-test but definitely have to work harder as still much room for improvement. After black belt class I stayed for sparring - -what was I thinking????? I survived but once home I was tired. We did stop at Rita's on the way home and that was a nice treat. No more for the day as we have dinner club tonight so I need to make myself presentable and somehow become coherent.
Today we had the pre test. I know I passed the physical part. I am not sure about the written part yet. I really hope I passed it. I feel pretty confident about it. I want to work hard so I fan raise my numbers for the real test day.

today was cool i did run in the morning and its Friday booo!!i had a lot of tests in all my classes they where very hard and some were easy as pie i had to study on that form Monday till today in the morning i felt frustrated i got all A's!! and i felt really proud but when school was over i went straight to my cousins house and then straight to church and now back at my house so tired of hearing loud music and I'm so full very mad because i only got to study for my written exam about! 1 day !!!! i was very frustrated on my exams in school i couldn't focus much on studying for my written exam so i feel nervous for tomorrow !! hope i pass :( but still my day went swell and hope it can be the same tomorrow

Really not, today was going so well till I walked into the kitchen to find my feet soaked. The him had already left to tailgate so had a nice mess to deal with. Found the cause, cleaned it up but then was in a funk. Went for a run that was pathetic so watched an episode of tiny house, yikes, then some more study guide review and off to bed. Please Panthers win, do not want to hear grumbling when him gets home. Will be out of my funk in the morning and ready for the pretest.

I've been practicing with Instructor Weeks as my mentor today. He is super awesome and has a lot of experience. He waited around for two hours for us today at the DoJang because of school. I feel ready tomorrow and I'm really excited. I hope I do well on my pretest tomorrow.
Today in ELA we talked about the 7 continents and the 4 oceans. In math we worked on order of operations. During PE I sat around because the other half of the class did the wind sprints. Soon I will start playing the french horn for the school. I am so excited!

today was a good day first i woke up took my dog outside then i went straight! to outbreak fast when i got done eating i went to school i got to school and saw that my teacher told us to our home work disparately looking for it and i found it and it was completed and also i found my self kind of shy but I'm trying to be outside the box and just do what i got to do even tho if its a no ores or correct or incorrect i still got say what need to say as my teacher said if he doesn't know what I'm thinking of how am i going to learn over that and then i went to math dang today was hard i had to fine lengths and circumferences and also study my latin words i got home i went straight to black...
I went for a run tonight and it didn't go so well. I made it a little over 2 miles and had to walk the rest. The interesting part was that the reason I stopped was because my shoes are DEAD. I never killed a pair of shoes before. The have lost all of their squishiness. OK for wearing around town and what not, but not so good for running. I will have to get some more this weekend.

Today I went to school and I went to Spanish class. I am going on a 12 day trip to Europe and I am taking this 2 year course for high school credit. Luckily I have some of my friends in my class to help me out.

today i went to school for the fourth time and bought a ticket for the school dance. Then i went to homeroom. The school dance isn't really like a dance its more of a 2 hour hang out. So that was my day.
Today went by pretty fast it felt like, I turned in my English project and finished my chemistry. I came home and ran my two miles at the elementary scool track and did my pull ups and then went to my 5:30 Tae Kwon Do class and then studied most of tonight.
So if my brain has calculated correctly today was our 50th day for those who started the pre-cycle. Even though with a crazy schedule between work and some personal commitments I am happy where I am with my TKD goals and requirements. Yes I am behind on learning the new but will figure a way to make it work and absorb it all. Had a great- - - fun time at the dojang today as it was very busy with the students returning from the summer. Non stop till 7:30 and that is the way I like it.
Wow...the pre test is almost here! Definitely not doing too many requirements tomorrow. I want to be minimally sore before I start my pre test! Requirements overall are going ok...still have lots to work on though. Creative poomsae, pal gwe forms, essays, etc... Always something more to do or improve.
Today at P.E. we did wind sprints. It was very tiring! I ran 98 meters! After I thought I was going to drop. After, my bus was late so I didn't leave until 3:20 and the bus was supposed to be there at 3:10.
This week has been a good one. Let me tell you what we did. The first thing we did was get to now each others names. After that we did some place value work sheets. We also did the name game and my teachers name is miss Kenyon.On Tuesday we got introduced to PaintBrush. The cool thing is that you get to draw stuff . We also played with Google Earth. Had a hard day on Spanish class today. The teacher was talking too fast. Came hone and my sister told me about and application that can help teach me Spanish. It called Dulingo. That helped a lot. Went down to Master Shin's today to get my new Addidas chest protector. I'll be ready the next time we spar.

Just realized that I have a lot going on from now to the end of the year. Not just auditing this black belt cycle, but planning my parents' 50th anniversary, a monastery retreat , as well as the end of year bottleneck of office work. Trying not to get anticipatory anxiety. Good thing the future only comes one moment at a time. Our adult free mat class was productive today. Master Evins left us with a list of tasks. It helped my requirements quite a bit. I'll feel it tomorrow. We went through all the color belt poomsae twice. As work gets busier, my schedule will change. I may not be able to make the class as often. My day has been pretty uneventful... School was okay but it is hard to get back to the routine of waking up so early. I am really excited for the pretest but I am also trying really hard to get better at running and getting my endurance back. Speaking of running, I am about to go while my brother is at this practice. I am going to try to double up today since I didn't run at all yesterday.

Between Master Hama testing the limits of our flexibility (or lack thereof), and a crazy speed workout at Crossfit, I went through the better part of a week with pulled hamstrings and groin.That has all since healed, but my elbow continues to kill me.
When i was younger i really wanted a diary, i though it gave me freedom to express myself, and it would make me deep, and all the cool movies had a girl writing in a diary. yeah ... I'm not a diary person, it is difficult to write journal entries sometimes.

Yeah! I finally got my Samsung Galaxy S6. When I came home from school there was a small box from FedEx (I knew it was being shipped by FedEx.) and I immediately knew it was the phone. I was surprised since the package was supposed to get to my house at 8pm. For at least an hour and half my dad and me were customizing it. Then I had to do my homework. I had to build a Science Related Board game and it is due tomorrow. My dad didn't customize everything and I don't have a case yet. That is all for me.

Recently, I visited some friends in another state who have just obtained their first degree black belt. Seeking some guidance, I asked my friend how did she completed all the physical requirements. "What's that?" she asked. When I described our black belt cycle, she replied, "Oh, no we didn't have to do all that. Girl, we go to a McDojang!" I was so appalled that I was speechless (and I am rarely speechless) . I had assumed that all martial arts black belt programs had some rigorous requirements. I'm even more proud of each of my belts and our King Tiger Program. I'm also very grateful to each of the Masters for keeping such high standards. No one could ever call our program a McDojang! Today I had home school. I'm only home schooled on Wednesdays and Fridays, for the other days I go to my regular place for school. For home school our teachers give us a paper that has all of my subjects and what I have to do for them. I already finished them and it wasn't too challenging. I like to work by myself sometimes because it's quiet when no ones around. My last subject that I had to do was science, it's one of my hardest subjects but at least I got through.
Had a good black belt class taught by Master Cavazos last night. Love when he teaches class, he is awesome! My wife made a great dinner, too--steak, shrimp, and corn on the cob! Good end to a busy day. Saturday is almost here!

I was able to get in a PMAA class this evening. The PMAA allows me to be a beginner student learning material as a student. This evening, I worked with a newer student so I played the instructor/student role. Good times.

Today at school we had a small debate. The topic was "Should the US destroy there weapons of Mass Destruction?", I was on the team that said no. It was 6 vs 7, my team was outnumbered. The rest of the class were judges. Each person on each team would go against another. The first and second round was a tie, I came in the third. When it was my turn, I creamed my opponent. My teacher even said that I ate him up, so I won. The round was we won again, so we ended up winning. In Tae Kwon Do, Master Cavazos made us do Yellow to Bocho Dan Poomsae. I also am getting my Samsung Galaxy S6 tomorrow, can't wait! That all for me, Goodbye!
Today at PMAA class I worked for 20 minutes straight on Cinawhilies(sp?) without stopping. After I couldn't feel my hands. I had to wait for about 5 minutes for feeling in my hands to come back. After it came back, it stung for about 2 minutes. Then it felt normal. I knew the feeling would return because something similar has happened to me before. Stick class was fun though.
Great color belt poomsae review tonight at North Charlotte! Pre test is right around the corner. I'm ready for the written test and the color belt self defense and poomsaes, but the run, push-ups and burpees have me shaking in my boots. My knees are getting better, slowly but surely. Every once in a while they get a little weak and I just lose my balance during a poomsae. Everyone else will be statue-still in a stance and there I am wobbling. Hope that doesn't happen Saturday! I'm very proud of how much better my burpees are than they used to be (that doesn't mean they're good.... just better!). I'm slow as molasses when I'm doing them, but I'm trying to keep good form and I'm actually able to bend my knees a little for the squat thrust. Eventful day - -same old work stuff then off to dojang. Positive note got to dojang early so was able to knock out quite a few requirements, not so positive note reason alarm was going off at house so got to go deal with the boys in blue- -all ended up good think someone may have tried but our alarm sounds like an air raid horn so probably scarred them away thankfully unless the window magically started moving on its own. Assisted in my normal junior wang ho class then adult class which was great, tons of color belt review then Inst. Hsin decided he wanted to make sure we had some physical requirements in at the end of class. Love when he does that!!!
I studied my test hard at home and in class in preparation for the pre-test on Saturday. There are some things that I can not pronounce and there are some things I can. I think the hardest part of the written pre-test is spelling the words.
My oldest son had his first cross country meet today. He did well, but is having a hard time getting his homework finished at a reasonable time. I hate to be the mean dad, but I will have him quit the team if grades are going to drop.

Had a BLAST and learned a lot. Today I woke up early to get requirements in before school. I helped with the 430 and 530 classes and got leadership credits. I took the black belt class and got a Mentor session in.

There is this voice in the back of my mind that says "You can't possibly do this at 49. You're too old, it's too hard, it hurts and you're much too busy". If there is anything I've learned, it's this: That voice is not me. That voice knows nothing, That voice wants to keep my life small and safe. This is the same voice that said I could not possibly go to medical school, I could not possibly be an Ob/Gyn, I could not possibly open my own practice. This voice is the enemy. It has been with me throughout my life. I've learned not to believe it. So when it says, "You can't do that" I laugh and say, "Watch me!" 3.45 miles

My first day of school was a pretty good day. I met my teacher and all of the new kids in my class. There are 6 other kids from my class last year. Unfortunately none of them were my best friends. My favorite part of the day was music because I like music. When I was called upon to explain the rules for music. There was 'Be A Good Listener.' This is one of the easy ones to remember because it has two eighth notes and two quarter notes. A quarter note is one beat and an eighth note is two beats on one note. My music teacher said I was spot on. After that we learned a song. I forgot what it was called. I'm pretty sure it went like this... "oooh goodly thing if the children of this world could dwell together innnnnnnn peeeeeeaaaaaace."
today i went to school an since it was the first day and i was going into 7th grade, there were double the amount of people there were last year. and all the 6th graders were so small. but other than the traffic i got some of my friends in my class so the first day wasn't so bad.
Productive day with requirements and helped with the bocho's at 5:45 class today then BB class with lot's of color belt review- - -needed that and pretty happy with the results. I am confident I will get everything done and see this to the finish however these dang pullups. Even with my beloved red bungy I can still not conquer them - -frustrating- -maybe some day but not going to loose sleep over it. Looking forward to a great week and the pre test on Saturday.
