Closing down another year

Funny that 2018 is almost behind us. Every year I get older and the years seem to move faster. The solution for that problem is simple. change what you do. I hear it all the time, friends, family, and me, how time seems to move quicker than it used to. The length of time hasn't changed (thankfully). But what we do in that time is the problem. We are creatures of habit, and as we constantly repeat our behaviors, our minds go into cruise control and stop paying attention to the intricacies of the world around us. Sooo, the best medicine for that is to change it up. Change careers, create new challenges, drive slow in the fast lane, stuff like that. Even little changes can add new meanings. Fear is a great way to slow things down. The fear of walking away from our comfort bubble. The fear of starting something completely new and not sure how it's going to go. Fear has been a good ally for keeping life interesting. Sometimes danger can be the thing that jump starts our medulla oblongata (no way I was spelling that on my own). Just don't go peeing on a electric fence to shake things up. Though if you do, let me know. That will be a Youtube sensation. Alright, our time is done here. Same time tomorrow
