Good Thursday

Today I woke up earlier than normal for two reasons: it was Christian's first day back to school, and I was meeting a mentor for morning coffee. Christian was wide awake and ready to go right off the bat.
My mentor meeting was great, as always. He continuously helps me spot perspectives I might otherwise miss, and he isn't afraid to call me out when I need it.
Work went really well after that. We had a visiting scientist lead an activity with the kids where they got to make cotton candy, and we set up a quick experiment for the middle group to observe and check back on later. All in all, a solid day at work.
Afterward, I took class, logged a leadership credit, and stayed for sparring. Sparring went great this week—no new bruises, which is always a win!
Just a few last requirements to wrap up before bed. I'm really looking forward to Saturday's testing in Greenville. I can't wait to watch everyone perform and impress the crowd and Grand Master Lee with all the hard work and preparation they’ve put into this cycle.
