Today's Pretest Findings

I think I handled the physical portion of today’s pretest with solid confidence. I’d prepared extensively for the running, pushups, jump rope, and plank portions of the test and that preparation paid off. I’ve found through the years that strong conditioning keeps your technique sharp even when fatigue sets in.

After going to Lake Norman from the track, I’ve determined that now I’ll want to focus on the technical side, especially the Taeguk Yeuk‑jang through Pal Jung poomsaes and my self‑defenses.

I think I’m on the right track. I look at today’s pretest as not just an evaluation, but also as a roadmap. With focused practice on my forms and self‑defenses, I’ll be able to walk into the full test with greater confidence.
