Thunder Storm

Wow. Last night was a crazy night. We had a big thunderstorm (as I suspect most of Charlotte did). It scared my 87 pound German Shepherd, Hans, and he kept me awake from 1:30 to 3:00 panting, pacing and jumping on the foot of the bed. I finally got to sleep around 3:00 then when the alarm went off at 4:00 it was still storming and I turned over and went back to sleep. That was not a great move. Even though I woke up later than I intended, I was still able to get in most of my planned requirements before, during and after work and church. I found that I really missed not getting my run in this morning. I realized it set the tone for the day which, I am ashamed to say was kind of negative or shall I say, disappointed. Well, I plan on getting up in the morning and doing my run so I better get back to requirements then to bed. I am struggling to do my jump rope. It is embarrassing but the weight in my stomach/abdomen area hinders me. The jarring of constant up and down is painful. I will keep trying. I want to end on a positive note. Someone in my Black Belt class on Monday night commented that she thought I looked thinner. That made me feel good.
