Challenging Day

Yesterday was a bit challenging.. I did not accomplish anywhere near what I had planned. As the day went on, my pancreas began acting up.. by late afternoon I was dealing with a lot of pain. After helping teach at our satellite class I went home to try and rest and see if I could get it to ease up... it didn't and I missed Black Belt class. I really had planned to go. Today I am still struggling with it.. I must have ate something that I shouldn't have. My baby sister has been in the hospital too. I admit I have not been as focused as I should.. I've been very worried about her. Between the two of us, we have enough ailments for many.. it is crazy!

Today, I met early this morning with my Mentee. She was not able to meet after class as we had planned on Mondays and since I didn't make it yesterday I went to her house this morning. I think It went well. We are concentrating right now on Self Defenses, and Poomsaes that she feels she needs work on. I will see her again on Monday and we will take a look at what we went over to see if she has practiced. In just a little bit I teach our satellite class. I teach by myself on Wednesdays. I am very proud that Master Shin feels confident enough for me to handle the one day on my own. We get to work on our breaking stripe today. I always like breaking and I love to see the kid's faces when they do their breaks. Hopefully everyone will earn a new stripe today.

Still trying to get and keep a pace for this cycle. I think I'm doing okay, but like always there is plenty of room for improvement. I am doing my white belt challenge this week so I am actually taking the white belt classes too. I do like classes that go back to the basics. I'm trying real hard to pay special attention to my techniques. It is so easy to get bad habits, and habits I didn't even realize I had.

Well, gotta go. I hope everyone is having a great day !
