Hello candidates, Master's, fellow students, and foreign delegates. Wanted to thank you for what looks like a big turn out for the King Tiger service project coming up this Saturday the 9th. Those who are on the cycle, were of course voluntold, but we seem to be getting a lot who just want to help out. Here's a little about this organization. It was established in 1944 by Rev Childers. It was a private place to help abuse, neglected or any child in need. The residents at the ...time, was a mill town, raised $10,000 to make it possible for children to have a safe and loving place to go if needed. The Church of God Children's Home is still a private, non-profit Christian facility and will remain so as long as the generosity of the community deems it so. Most of the children (to my understanding) go home on the weekends to be with their families if it's a safe environment. We will be making an impact on their landscaping and possible doing some needed painting. I know King Tiger will make a phenomenal impact on the staff there and especially the children. Please wear your King Tiger t-shirt when you come. If you do not have one, buy one. If you can not buy one, come with a big smile and a hard working attitude. And then borrow one from someone who will bring a spare t-shirt, hint hint.
Adults: if you wish to bring your weed eaters that would be awesome. Make sure you have eye protection please.
Y'all (meaning everyone): bring work gloves (unless you have hands like woodpecker lips), cover toed shoes or boots, a shirt to paint in, and a lunch with snacks and WATER. Remember, what you pack in your pack, is what you pack in your pack. I can be bribed with tasty snacks for better working conditions for you. Homemade stuff only, no preservative packed Little Debbies of the kind.
Address is below. We start at 9am and finish at 12 pm. If you or your child is on the cycle, do not ask me to leave early to some soccer game or something. I will not care of their future scholarships that are on the line. The world can always use more ditch diggers (something my mom used to tell me). If you are not on the cycle, thank you for helping.
