Candidate Journals

I haven't done a journal since I hit 50 so I decided to just do one now. The spring 24 cycle is finally over, im so proud of myself, my friends and everyone else who made it through testing, it was a difficult night and having to do it again in the morning was even tougher, I am so grateful that I got to do the cycle alongside so many amazing people. I'd first like to thank my parents for pushing me to do this and getting through it, I would also like to thank Master Foster and Master Knight for helping me prepare for it. It's been a long 3 months but it finally paid off. It felt weird not having to do any requirements and just getting my first day off in a while. I can't wait till the tea ceremony! That's it for today.

Last journal ! I’ve been putting this off for so long but here I am. Today i don’t do much because we didn’t have school. My cousin came over because his parents and my mom went to raleigh. Question how do you guys say raleigh? I say it Ra-Lay but i know some people who say Rah-lee. anyway back to my day. I relaxed practiced my poomsaes and self defenses did my requirements and stuff. then I went to my tkd and practiced some more . then I helped out with the high belt class. After that I practiced the stuff again with my friend. When i got home I ate dinner and my mom came home. I just showered and now i have to go to sleep because I do have school tomorrow. I’m really nervous for the testing. also everyone in my dojang got an A on our written...

I had a bad day today. I went to math which was boring and then we had clubs and i left early to get my passport photo taken. After that was done i got chick-fil-a for lunch and then had to go back to school. Nothing really happened the rest of the day and then day 3 volleyball tryouts happened and i didn’t really do my best because my stomach was hurting. after that i went home i saw that i didn’t make the team, I was a bit upset but didn’t care that much because my friends made it and i’m happy for them. My stomach still hurts and i didn’t eat dinner because of it.

a today was a normal day i went to school, in math we started circles which i already knew so it wasn’t that hard. In science we had a catch up day i did work for other classes, In spanish we got our seats switched and it sorta mad because i got moved all the way across the room from my friend. In social studies we talked about the atomic bombs and stuff and it was really interesting and i asked a lot of questions, In Ela we finished up work and then did a worksheet. After school i went to day 2 volleyball tryouts, I feel like i did better then yesterday and am excited for tomorrow, after that i spent an hour peppering (practicing) for tomorrow and my arms were hurting but i got better. for the rest of the day i just relaxed and did my requirements. Today i got to sleep in a bit because i had a dentist appointment. I went to the dentist and got my braces changed and then i got chick-fil-a on the way to school. I wasn’t to late to school because in math we had just started notes. In science we started learning about genes. In spanish we got our quiz grades back and i got a 98. In social studies i finished my propaganda poster. In ela me and my friend missed 20 minutes because we were told to go take picture for yearbook (even though we aren’t in yearbook) It was fun and we just took pictures and hung out but my friend made me take all the pictures because she was scared of the 8th graders. After school i went to volleyball tryouts and i feel i did pretty well for myself because i started not to long...

todays the last day of spring break and i’m not excited for school tomorrow. I’m also nervous because we have volleyball tryouts. Today i didn’t do much except relax and work on my written test. The coming friday i have my written test and physical test so im also nervous for that.

today i went to sparring and then I helped out with the junior tiger class. I was really tired after so i relaxed her. i got home and didn’t do much for the rest of the day except read. Then my mom went out and my dad me and my sister went to olive garden for dinner. We got home and now we are watching a movie.

Today was another boring day of spring break. Today my parents were fasting. I woke up really late and ended up just eating lunch again. After lunch I relaxed and did some of my essays and then practiced my skill. after a few hours I went to my dojang for my weekend black belt class. After the I had macaroni for lunch. Then I ran 2 miles on my treadmill and then I just watched a movie with my family.

Today i didn’t do much. I woke up late and decided to just wait for lunch. After lunch i went and got a haircut and i really like it. when i got back i hung out with my family and the. me and my sister watched the new thundermans movie. 

today was boring. I woke up early on accident, probably because that the time I usually wake up for school, so I just went back to sleep, I couldn't sleep for long though so I got up and ate breakfast, then I practiced my new skill and watered my plant. then I ate lunch, my mom made my favorite which she hasn't made in a while and it was yummy. for the next few hours I worked on essays and logged in some stuff. after that I went to my tkd with a Bunch of stuff for bags of hope. I helped out with the junior tiger class and one of my mom's friends kids was there so I said hi to him and his mom and we talked for a bit after class. then I had my weekday black belt class, after that class we took all the bags of...

Today we went to the NC zoo and I saw lots of cool animals and it was fun until my cousin threw up and she had to leave so it was just me and my parents walking around but I had a lot of fun. When we got home we had dinner and relaxed I watched a movie and my cousins watched a series, I just got home and I am working on some essays

Today my older cousin went to school but her brother didn’t. I didn’t really do anything much just play with my cousin and my sister. I also helped my cousin with his homework. Tomorrow we are going to the NC zoo and i’m pretty excited! We had Pizza for dinner and now we are finsihing a show.

Today i didn’t do much. I woke up late ate breakfast played with my cousins. My cousins are in mecklenburg county so they don’t have spring break. I’m kinda mad because all of my friends are going out of country or on cruises or to florida, and i’m just staying at home. Anyway i did my requirements watched my parents wedding video and did basically nothing the rest of the day.

Today my uncle insisted on no screens for a day. It was pretty normal and my cousin brought out a 500 peice puzzle which we started at 11. I helped out with the top part then i quit by 12 because i got really  bored. i sat for a good while and watched my cousins and parents finish it and joined them again at the end we ended up finishing at 3 because we took a lunch break. the rest of the time we listened to music and watched wedding videos . my cousin threw up right next to me but he had a bowl because he threw up earlier but i gagged and almost threw up. 

1 month closer to summer! It was ok day in school so i wore my pjs and crocs.In math we did corrections for our test and i got a 100. In science we dissected the frogs and i had to step away because i almost threw up and some girl did throw up and wore the same shirt the rest of the day which was gross. we didn’t have encore because of the incentive and i chose volleyball as my activity and it was fun. In social studies we learned about war propaganda. in social studies we finished up work. When i got home i did my requirements and relaxed it rained all day today which was sad. I am currently at my cousins house and i am watching something with them.

Happy leap day! Today was dress like your on vacation day and my friend went all out and stole her brother’s hawaiian shirt. She brought 3 leys ( i don’t know how to spell it but it’s those flower necklace things) so she gave me one. In the morning i went and visited my sixth grade teacher and surprised her because her birthday was recently. In math we had a test and i got a 8/9 which im proud of because it was hard. In science we looked at dead frogs and i almost threw up and almost started crying because of how scary and gross it was, Tomorrow we are disecting those frogs and i think i may throw up. In spanish we had another test and i don’t know what i got but i feel pretty good about it. In social studies we did a mock trial so we...

Today was school spirit day so i wore my school shirt. In math we did a review worksheet because we have a test tomorrow. after that we had stop drop and stem which means we some project and it was kinda boring. In science we finished an assignment and tomorrow i think we are dissecting frogs which im scared to because it sound kind of gross, also because im scared of frogs that are alive so. I spanish we also have a test tomorrow so we did review for that to. In social studies we finished the worksheet and me and my friend bennett were dancing to the music we were listening after we finished so that was funny. today was student teacher swap day and it was really funny to see all the teachers dress as students in hoodies and sweatpants and they had their phones in the pockets and airpods in their ears and they had an “attitude”. In math we did a worksheet i finished quickly in science we did a gizmo. in spanish we just did some questions from a workbook and went over them. In social studies we did a worksheet and in ela we finished up work. after school my mom dropped my sister at dance so i was home alone for some time and the. my dad came and we went to tkd. I helped out for 2 classes practiced some of my stuff and the. we got pizza. 

Today i was really tired and didn’t want to wake up. Anyway went to school and we started a new thing in math and it’s pretty simple. In science we finished our prosthetics. We had spring pictures today so we had a free day in Pe so i ran i 2 miles . In social studies my friends mom who is a lawyer talked to us about Law and stuff. In ela we just finished stuff up. It’s also spirit week and today was hat day and i didn’t have one so i js stole my friends. Tomorrow is student teacher swap day which mean the teacher dress like the students and the students dress like the teachers. After school i had a Volleyball open gym which i went to and i came home and went straight to Tkd. I helped out and I got complimented on how good i was...

Yesterday I didn’t do a journal because it was my mom’s surprise party. We came home late and my uncle took my phone from me when i was about to do my journal, I personally think he doesn’t have the right to do that because he is not my parents. Anyway today i played with my moms friends son he’s 5 years old and really cute he was really hyperactive and stuff my cousins were also over and we played together. Now. i have to put the kid to sleep and i have  to go to sleep to. Good night

Today i was really tired. We had a sub in math and in science we just finished something up. in spanish we got our test scores back and i got a 100 . In for social studies it was kinda complicated and basically we did ela in social studies and social studies in ela it was kinda weird. when i got home i did my requirements and then went to tkd for my black belt weekend class. after that i came home ate dinner and now im reading a book. 

Today was my moms birthday so i got up and said happy birthday to her and went to school. in school we had our reading bench mark and i got a 35/45 which im not proud of but will have to do. After that we had social studies and then ela. After school i was home alone because my parents went out. My mom’s best friend surprised her from missouri and she was really happy. I showered and we had a birthday party for my mom. I’m really tired so I’m not writing much. My best friend also went through something today so i was comforting her through and text and will check on her tomorrow. I really hope she’s ok because it was really terrible what she went through. 

Today we had benchmarks but i wasn’t feeling to good so i almost skipped out but then went anyway. I went to school and got ready and then we did the test. It was kind of hard and i don’t know if i did well because i didn’t check my score. The entire day everyone asked what I got and i had to tell them I didn’t check. I still haven’t checked even now. after that we had lunch then second period. Then we had Pe for a whole hour and no spanish. then we had first period which for me is math and we did notes and went outside. after I got home i ate a snack did my requirements and then went to Tkd for a class with grandmaster Lee. the class was fun and I really enjoyed it. Today was pretty simple. I woke up with a sorta sore throat and went to school. In math we played a review game because the math benchmark is tomorrow. In science we did research for our project. In spanish we just talked about different ways to say things in different countries. In social studies we finished our letter then did a class kick assignment. In ela we did more review for the Ela benchmark. Once I got home i did my requirements then went to Tkd and helped out with classes and did a mentor session with hudson. We got taco bell for dinner and i wasn’t that hungry so id dint eat much. Then i showered and now im gonna study.

I have a lot to recap on. The reason that i wasn’t doing any of my journals was because i went to Atlanta. I went to Atlanta on friday and it was a 4 hour car ride. I mostly listened to music and was on my phone but i slept for a hour. halfway through we stopped for dinner which was Chick fil a. By the time we got there it was 11 PM so I was really tired and went to sleep immediately. The cousins i went with were 12 and 7, and we went to see our cousin who was 5. The next day I instinctively woke up early because I usually do on saturdays. But most of the day I played with my cousins on roblox or with the toys. Then me and my older cousin watched half of Dune while our parents played a card game. On...

Today was really easy. I went to school early which was a surprise and went to math. The work was pretty easy so I blew past it. In science we had an another assignment which I also finished quickly. In Spanish we had a test which I just finished in time. In social studies we did yet another assignment which i also finished. And lastly in Ela I literally had nothing to do because I had finished everything. So my teacher made me run up and down the halls printing stuff for her then she made me clean stuff out for her so that’s what i did the entire time but i was fine with it because i didn’t have to learn. Happy Valentine’s day ! This morning I woke up early and got ready early. My dad bought me and my sister chocolates and cupcakes but he woke up sick. When I got to school there was a whole ton of pink. Math wasn’t any different than a normal day. We had clubs today and my friend was ranting to me about how she hates all the couples during valentine’s day which made me laugh. I only got 2 presents the entire day both from my friends but i’m grateful anyway. When i got home I did some requirements and went to Tkd but instead of having a class I helped out with the junior tiger testing. I will be helping out with the senior tigers tomorrow even though my parents are going to a housewarming but i didn’t want to go anyway. That’s all for today good night !

Today was a pretty fun day at school. I woke up early because i had to straighten my hair. In math we didn’t get much time and only did notes because there was this assembly for a dance performance thing by some company and it was really interesting because they were really good dancers. In science we started a new project but I didn’t really get it. In Spanish we reviewed for our test on thursday. In social studies we did a puzzle trying to find out who killed this person which started WW1. And Ela was the same as yesterday because I was still way ahead of the class. Today was busy. I woke up late so i had to rush getting ready. When i got to school we just had an assignment in math and notes which i finished up pretty quickly. In science we had a test and I got a 100. In spanish we played a game preparing for our test on thursday. In social studies we just took notes because we started a new unit. and in Ela i did something different then everybody else because i finished the book and the assignment that goes with it so she made me do the next assignment and i finished that as soon as the others started it and then she made me grade some papers for her which I liked doing. Today was pretty busy. My cousins slept over so i tried not to wake them up when i left for sparring. After sparring i helped out with the junior tiger class then broke boards with hudson. after i got home I had a very late breakfast then relaxed before i showered to go to a restaurant with my family. the food was good but took a while to come. After that we went to costco and i learned that they discontinued my favorite churros. When i got home i immediately crashed on the coach and started practicing for my written test. Now i am watching a movie with my family.

today we had a half day in school so it went by pretty fast.in math we just did our retest. and right after math for some reason we had 5th period so in social studies we finished our poster. In science we just played games and in ela we just read. after i went to ms bowers class for lunch and just stayed there the entire rest of the day which wasn’t that long. when i got home i did my requirements then relaxed then went to my tkd weekend class. when we were getting pizza it took almost an hour to get ready so i stayed in the car for a while. i got home at and my cousins came and now we are watching a movie.

Today i had a math test and i got a 11/12 which is one of the best scores in the entire class. In science we “graduated” from the unit so my teacher did this whole thing and gave us diplomas and cookies and juice which was yummy and for the rest of the class we played games. I don’t really remember what we did in spanish cause is kept zoning out. In social studies we finished our poster and we just have to color it. In Ela we had a sub who was my former science teacher so i really liked her. We went to the media center for the entire class period and did an assignment. Today was pretty fun. In math we did a 100 grid and i got candy. son science we just finished up our rotations and did something else. In spanish we didn’t really do anything because we were waiting for the people who had test corrections to finish. In social studies we started a new project. Rachael left halfway through because she was sick so i ended up partnering with bennett. In Ela i mostly read because rachael wasn’t there to keep me company and i ended finishing the book even though the rest of the class was only halfway through. After school I had a snack at home did my requirements then went to Tkd. I didn’t have any classes so i helped out with some and got leader ship credit and class assistance. Today was a normal day i woke up went to school and got busy . in math we played a game and my team tied for first so we got candy.In science we had a sub so obviously i barely got any work done. Today i woke up early so i could go to my sparring class. It was very tiring today and i was really sweaty.After i helped out with the junior tiger class. Then my dad picked me up and we went to my sisters basketball game, she lost but she didn’t let it get her down. After we went to chipotle and ate lunch. then i did my requirements and realized for a while before i had to eat dinner and now my parents are watching a movie and im kinda doing nothing.

Today i woke up much earlier then i usually do because my sister was whining. In math we played a game and i didn’t have to do anything because i reffed. In science our teacher wasn’t here so we did a different assignment. In spanish we learned time and we didn’t get our test scores back. In social studies we cont what we did yesterday and in ela we finished the assignment. after i got home i did my requirements and went to my weekend black belt class which i was just in time for. During the class we had to lead a poomsae or stick or staff form. I led chilchang and I don’t think I did ver well. Now that i’m home i ate dinner and am about to go to sleep.

Today was I pretty difficult day in school. In math we started a new topic which i didn’t get at first but kinda do now in science me and rachael finished a whole rotation which means we only have 2 more in spanish I had a test which I don’t really know how i did on because it was really hard. in social studies we started a new project and me and rachael had a really good idea for it and in Ela we did benchmark review. once I got home i did my requirements then headed to my mentee session and then when i got home I relaxed ate dinner and my mom went to a party.

Today i woke up and wasn’t feeling to good but I was good enough to go to school. My head was hurting the entire day so i kept my head down mostly. We had to give back our assignment that i hadn’t finished for homework because I was busy all day yesterday so i got a 50 but she gave us another chance to do it. We also did test corrections. After I got home I relaxed a bit before I went and helped out with the junior tiger class and after that i led warm ups for the senior tigers. I just finished dinner and I’m studying and i have to shower.

Today was a pretty normal day I woke up got ready and went to school the only thing different is that my throat hurt. My sister feels better and is finally going back to school tomorrow but now my dad has a fever so I’m scared I might get it to. But i went to school and the day went normally i had all the regular classes and then I came home ate a snack and relaxed a bit before I went to help out with the Junior tiger class and then I had my weekday black belt class and then I did a mentor session with Master Foster. Overall i liked today and it was fun.

today was kinda hectic. First i woke up and got ready for sparring. then i went to sparring and it went as usual, then i helped out with the junior tiger class on got some class assistance credit. then i went home and relaxed for a while, caught up on some assignments and stuff. At 3 I had my basketball game and I picked up my friend and went but i forgot my shoes which was so funny because i switched with my friend so i could sub in for her. My dad did end up being my shoes and i played the full last quarter, we played a team we won 18-17 to and won 28-6 this time which really shocked me because either we got better or they got worse but I was happy then i got chick fil a after and I had to hurry and eat it...

today I went to school as normal. In spanish today I got my quiz scores back and i got a 96 which is better then i thought i would do. In science a kid threw a colored pencil at my head and almost got written up but since he was rlly nice about it and made sure i was ok  i couched for him and he didn’t get written up I have a scratch on my head though and it hurts. At home i relaxed a bit before i had to got to my weekend black belt class i was 15 minutes late because my dad got the time wrong but i made up for it with a mentor session with master foster. When i got home i ate dinner did the rest of my requirements and now im watching a movie with my family.

Today i woke up a bit late and started panicking because i was really late but then i remembered i had a Ortho appointment at 9 so I slowed down and took my time. At the Ortho they moved one of my brackets which is making my teeth hurt really bad and i also got my color redone. by the time i got to school it was like 9:40 and we were doing an assignment, it wasn’t to hard and i finished it in time. In PE we moved on to pickleball but i don’t really like it because it’s hard and not very fun. In spanish we took our quiz and i feel like i didn’t do very good on it even though I studied. I did my mentee session which went on a lot longer because she didn’t know any of her self defense but it was ok because...

Today I was running rlly late to school and js made it to the bus stop,luckily our bus was late to. in school math we had review and science we had the regular rotations. Tomorrow in spanish we have a quiz and im kinda nervous because i don’t rlly get the words so i have to study. In social studies we are doing a UN conference simulation and my group chose South Korea as our country. In ELA we had this assignment that i luckily finished right as class ended so i don’t have homework. After I got home I at a snack and did some math homework, after that i relaxed a little then did my requirements. My sister hasn’t gone to school all week because she has a fever and i’ve been trying my best not to catch it to. I went to my Weekday black belt TKD class...

Today was nothing out of the ordinary. As usual i got up got ready and went to school. At school we didn’t really do anything exciting except in Pe we started the badminton tournament. once I got Home i ate a snack and did my requirements did some homework and went to basketball practice at practice coach mad us practice boxing out and stuff like that once i came home I ate dinner and now I have to shower and go to sleep.

Today was a pretty normal day.I got up and ready for school and got to the bus on time even though i woke up late.My sister is still sick so i’m still keeping my distance. at school I did my retest my math and my presentations for science and social studies. in social studies my group got the second most votes to get printed. after I got home I ate a snack did some of my requirements and relaxed a bit before I had to go to my weekday black belt class. once I got home I ate dinner and did the rest of my requirements now I have to shower and go to sleep.

Today i did basically nothing I woke up late so i just went ahead and ate lunch after that i watched a few movies. my sister has a fever so I tried my best to stay away from her I read a book for a while then tried to take a nap but couldn’t fall asleep. I did my requirements, ate dinner and showered now I have to go to sleep. 

Today I woke up and went to sparring then I helped out with the junior tiger class right after. after that i got home and had some time to relax before i had to go to my Basketball game. My team lost but we played really hard in the second half and I felt that the refs were being really unfair because they kept ignoring the fouls the other team made and the girls on the other team were just being really bad sports but I can’t do anything about it so i came home and ate lunch then showered and relaxed some more did my requirements and now i am watching a movie with my parents. That’s all 

Today went pretty normally. I woke up got ready for school, picked up my friends and went to school. Me and my friends finished up a project for social studies which we have got present tomorrow. After I got back I ate a snack and went to do my mentees house to work with her then I came home did my requirements at dinner showered and now i have to go to sleep.

Today I didn’t really do much because we had a teachers work day at school I just sat at home did my requirements I went to the dentist in the morning. I didn’t do my journal the last 2 days because it’s an indian festival and we have been really busy. But we went and watched a movie and shopped on sunday then went over to my cousins. Right now my sister is at dance so i’m just sitting here kinda bored. But that’s it.

Today was a pretty normal day I woke up a bit late for school but still got to the bus in time.I did my quiz in spanish which was pretty easy and i think i did pretty good so still haven’t finished my children’s book for social studies but i think im on the last page so i know i can finish it soo. My uncle is at my house. Tomorrow i have a basketball game at 3 and im kinda nervous for the mile even though i’ve run one before tomorrow is also the start of an indian festival so that’s exciting. we have monday and tuesday off of school next week so that great. Today wasnt very normal because our power went out at 4 am and i had to get ready in the dark so that was hard,but school went normally i have a quiz in spanish tomorrow and i have an assignment in reading thats also due. The power was still out when i got home so i just made myself a snack and we decided to go to my cousins house in huntersville because my dad had to get work done i also got my new glasses. By the time we got home the power was back and i finished the last of my workouts and now i have to shower and go to sleep.
