Today I missed my first period of school today because i wasn’t feeling well in the morning. It was a normal day of school. My grandma has come to visit and she’s staying with us for around a week. I was chatting with her for some time then I did my requirements, ate and had a meeting for an organization I’m in. It was a pretty okay day.

Today was a pretty average day at school. It’s starting to really feel like school now but I still haven’t made any new friends. After school, I watched a little TV and then did my requirements. My runs are going fine but I’m getting bored of the routes I’m going on. I’ve tried everyone one I can do within a mile or so radius of my house and I’m getting bored of them. I guess I’ll just have to deal with it for these last weeks. I had sparring today and I feel pretty good about how I did especially since I was nervous about my sparring skills. I did a head kick which they said was allowed but I felt bad because my opponent said good kick and I didn’t say anything. The most annoying thing is I can’t talk with my mouthguard in so while my opponents say stuff...

9/2

Today I had school, and the work is actually starting this week and I have to start focusing to balance the rest of my cycle work with schoolwork. After school, I had some snacks and was chilling for a bit before I started my requirements. I did 1.7 miles today and got average time, didn’t improve that much but didn’t do bad. I was facetiming my sister for a while and then had taekwondo classes. I helped out in the junior one and worked on blue belt self defense with some kids and then did the senior class. Just a normal class but after class I was working with my mentor and my mentee and my mentor had to help my mentee and watch her because she needed work from her testing last week. I was helping out with that and worked a little on my hurricane back. We worked on them last Saturday and I realized I was doing it wrong so now it’s a little easier but it still needs work. Today I slept in and after having lunch I was just chilling and playing with my dog and then I went to the vet with my dog and dad because my dog has to bloodshot red spot his elbow. They said it’s some skin thing and we should put a cone on him so he doesn’t lick it. After we came home and were taking care of my dog and then me my sister and my dad went to a burger place. We had a nice time. I came home said bye to my sister because she was going back to college and finished my requirements. I didn’t get to do my run today because it was too late. That was my day.

8/31

Today was my rest day! My sister’s friend stayed over last night and we watched a movie till late. I’m pretty close with her too so it’s cool. We made breakfast together and were listening to songs for some time. Then we were watching some random TV while my dad made lunch. I ended up watching Avatar the last airbender episodes. It’s one of my favorite shows. I was just lazing around for some time and then I went to clean my bunk bed cupboards out because I’m getting a new bed. I listened to some murder stories while I did that. Then I made some meal prep food, Pad Thai, and it turned out really good. I showered and am chilling now.

8/30

Today I had black belt class in the morning. It was a pretty normal class today and then I had piano class. Definitely need work on my hurricane back kicks though. After I came home hanged with my dog, made a dessert thing and did some chores. Then I finished the rest of my requirements. I went a short run today and then did a little more chores. Some of my dads friends came over and my sisters friend (one of their daughters) came over too. Since I started my diet, I wanna try a little meal prep so we went to the grocery store for that. I am about to have dinner and watch a movie with my sister and her friend. Tomorrows my rest day!!!

Today I slept through my alarm so I had to rush to get ready. I won a raffle for a snack in my class during school so that was fun. After school I was watching some TV for some time and tried to get a small nap in before I started my requirements. I finished my requirements around evening and went on my run. Today my run felt horrible I was feeling like the beginning of the cycle. I think I’m just worn out. Anyways my sister came over this long weekend to visit from college. We watched an old murder movie together and our dad made us dinner. Pretty okay day.

Today after school, my mom gave me a full meal to eat because she said I haven’t been eating properly. She was leaving to go to Vegas on a trip with her friends today. I said bye to her and was watching some TV for some time and took a short nap that felt really good. I finished my requirements after. I improved on running time today and was facetiming with my sister after. She’s in college but she’s coming over this long weekend. I had an online meeting for an organization I’m part of so I did that and had dinner.

Today was an okay day at school. We had a fire drill today but the alarm kept malfunctioning and went off 4 times off and on so that was annoying. It was a pretty chill day, didn’t do much since it’s only the 3rd day of school. Afterschool there was an interest meeting for a club I want to join, Deca. So I attended that with some of my friends. After I came home, I had a snack and watched a little TV and then started my requirements. Sparring and BB class was cancelled today so I had more time but had to do more work because I had to do my poomsae, self defense and kicks at home. 8/26

I went to school in the morning. Nothing much happened today, I went to band and my adobe class for the first time and had an assembly today. I also started my diet and am just doing a simple diet of high protein, less sugar and fried food, basically no junk food. I almost missed my bus in the afternoon because I got lost. Once I got home I had a snack and then started my requirements. I went on a new route for my run and got a little lost but I figured it out. I went to my taekwondo class after and it was pretty fun. I finally caught up on my mentee sessions and learned bo cho specials. I just had dinner and am gonna go study now.

Today was my first day of high school. It wasn’t that bad but I need to figure out how to make friends all over again. I’m kind of scared to start doing work especially with the cycle I need to be better with time management but it is easier since school lets out at 2:15 instead of me getting home at 5:30. After school I had a snack and started my physical requirements. I went to taekwondo class after, helped out in one class, attended the next, the usual. Pretty light stuff today. I decided to skip my run today because it was getting pretty dark and I just wasn’t feeling it today because my rest day wasn’t really a rest day because I was out the whole day. Today was my rest day! I slept in and had some leftovers for brunch. I started packing my school bag because my first day of school is tomorrow. Later I got ready to go to my friend’s birthday party. She is my childhood friend since I was a baby and these twins were also our friends like that, so it was just us. We were first at her house and then her mom took us all to birkdale. We didn’t really know what to do most of the time and just looked at stores and then left. We got dinner at a pizza place and we made funny jokes there so that was fun. This morning I had black belt class. We worked on hopkito, choreyo and bo cho self defense. I’ve been getting better at hopkito. Afterwards, I finished off the physical requirements before my piano class at 10:30. I want to learn a new piece for my dad’s birthday. He loves me playing piano. I’ve been missing a lot of piano classes lately, so I’ve been missing it. Then I came back and finished my run. I ate and had a quick shower becuase I had to get dressed for my dance recital. I do Indian classical dance, bharatanatyam, and the costume, hair and everything is complex. My mom got me ready pretty quickly though. I spent basically the rest of my day at the recital place because I was preforming 2 dances and I had to do a costume change and then wait for a long time because there are 2 genres/sections...

8/20

I wanted to get up early, but I couldn’t drag myself out of bed. Have no idea what I’ll do when school starts. I finished my requirements around noon and then watched some TV. Then I went on my run with my dog. I got a little bit slower time and didn’t run as much as I usually do but I had to stop multiple times and went slower because of my dog since I was holding his leash. When I came home my dog threw up on the carpet so that was frustrating but he isn’t sick, it was just because the run made him nauseous I guess. I headed to sparring and black belt class a little later. Sparring was a little shorter today because we started late but black belt class was pretty fun. I got to work on hopkito and my stick form. Just had dinner and need to go shower.

8/19

Today I woke up a little early and finished my run. I got a much better time today so that made me happy! After I was chilling and then I ate brunch and after some time I finished the rest of my requirements. Then I was practicing piano for some time. Later on I went to my tae kwon do class, I helped out in the junior class and attended the senior class after. I finally got a session in with my mentee. I came home and had dinner. Heading to sleep now.

8/18

Today after having my morning smoothie, I was cleaning my room and organizing it and moving stuff back into it. I listened to some true crime stories while doing so and it took like 2 and a half hours. Afterwards I had a bowl of leftover pasta for lunch and finished my requirements. I was planning on doing my run after my tae kwon do class. After, I chilled for a while and then fed my dog dinner. I go to junior class to help out and then attend the senior class right after so that’s what I did. There weren’t many people in class today. I went on my run after class and am very disappointed in myself because my time went up by a little more than a minute and I was just running slow throughout. I’m feeling pretty upset about that. I’m gonna wake up early tomorrow and finish my run and everything in the morning and hopefully get better time and run faster.

I woke up really late today and usually today is my rest day but I had to have it yesterday because I was busy the whole day so today I had to do stuff. Before eating I practiced a little piano which I haven’t done in a long time. Then I ate, and chilled before starting my requirements. After I rested a little before finishing everything up with my run near my neighborhood with my mom and dog. My mom took my dog with her but mostly she was walking fast and not running because she wanted to do 3 miles. I did 1.7 miles. After resting I took a nice long shower and my dad made some really good dinner so I ate that and am watching a movie with my mom. Pretty chill day.

8/16

Today we went to go drop my sister off in college. She goes to NC state and we left in the morning so I had to miss my black belt class and the self defense seminar unfortunately. Usually Sunday is my rest day but today had to be it because we had only come back late night and I wouldn't be able to finish my requirements. I also didn’t get to do my run yesterday so I’ll have to make that up over time. We took around 3 hours to help my sister move in. She is going to her sophomore year. She always packs a lot too. After we went to target to get some cleaning supplies and tolietries for her as well which took some time. She had a dinner to go to with her friends in the evening so we dropped her off and had dinner at a ramen place nearby before leaving. Her friends birthday is tomorrow so they were planning on doing some sort of surprise party at midnight. Anyways the food was pretty good, it was pretty bland so I had to add a lot of chilli oil to it. We came back home around 11 and I still had to shower but I got a nice bodywash at the target so it was good. Going to head to sleep now.

Today I woke up later than I had planned. After I got ready, I went with my dad and my dog to his grooming appointment. It didn’t end so well because they said his fur was too matted. Anyways after I came back I sat for while and then got started on my requirements. I finished everything except the run. I had food and rested for a while before doing my run. I’ve lately been doing runs outside around my neighborhood and they are a lot more enjoyable. After I chilled for a while and played with my dog. I just had a shower and am going to have dinner.

I went to the gym early in the morning today to get my requirements finished off. I’ve been pushing myself on the treadmill but it’s getting a little scary now. After I ate breakfast, I finished another one of my essays. I ended up writing 4 pages instead of 1. I have trouble paraphrasing. Then I cleaned my room for the next couple of hours. Then I went to my tae kwon do class and had dinner.

Today I woke up pretty late and finished my requirements in the afternoon. I figured out a way to separate the exercises into different sets to make it easier. Still working on my pull ups but I can do dead hangs for longer now! After I started putting up my posters in my room. I got a lot as birthday presents over the years but never had the wall space until now since i’m redecorating. That took longer than I thought but I listened to a stories and podcasts. After I did the laundry and went to my taekwondo class. I had a session with my mentor after where we worked on my hurricane back kicks. Definitely need a lot of work on them. Today was my rest day! Last night me and my family watched the new jurassic world movie until late so I slept until late today. But my mom woke me up in a rush because I had to my room walls out because I was getting my room painted today. I’ve been wanting to redecorate my room for the past 3 years and my mom said we can do it this year since I’m about to go to high school. We went to Lowe’s to get paint and then I was chilling at home for a long time. I had to get ready around 5 though because we were going to a cafe to meet some family friends so I did that and I had a nice time at the cafe. I’m getting ready for the night and will probably watch a movie with my mom! I really needed this rest day so that’s good!

Today was the second day of the digital detox and it is definitely a lot worse. In the morning I had to meet with my school counselor with my mom to get my schedule finalized. After I went on a run at the school track since we were already there. My time is always faster on the track compared to treadmill. Then I came home and finished the rest of my requirements. I wanted to chill for a little but I didn’t really know what to do since I finished my book and couldn’t do much online. I also had limited time because I had to practice my dance because I had dance class in the evening. I did that for the next 2 hours and then had to wash my hair really quickly before going to my class because I had to go to a function right after. I am leaving for my function right now. I’m pretty tired and I have to wake up early for my black belt class tomorrow.

Today I started my first day of my digital detox. It’s been very quiet and calm today because of it. It isn’t that bad but I am definitely looking forward to it ending. After breakfast I read for a pretty long time and then finished all my requirements except for my run and then had lunch and read a little more until my mom and sister came back from work. After hanging with them for a bit. Me and my sister went to the gym where I completed my run and stretched for some time, waiting for my sister to complete her workout. I only used my phone when I needed to, like for my journal, duolingo, and a meeting for an organization I’m a part of. Today was the pre test and it was a lot quicker and less intense than I expected. I thought you had to do everything you have learned for poomsae, self defense and kicks but each group only had to do 3 poomsae’s and the only self defense I did was bo cho self defense which was helpful though because I got better at my rolls. The master who watched me during my poomsae was a lot more specific and watchful so I got okay scores but it was fine because I learned a lot from his advice and his perspective was very interesting. After I came home I had food and watched TV for some time and watched a movie with my mom. Then I finished the remaining time for my requirements that I didn’t finish during the test. I made food in the morning with my mom and after eating, I did some of my requirements at home and my sister and I went to the gym after where I finished my run and the rest of my requirements in. After I had my birthday party. Last weekend was my birthday but I had this weekend since most of my friends were out of town. It was really fun and nice to see them after a long time, also since they are my school friends and most of us are going to different high schools. Unfortunately I didn’t realize the time I had and couldn’t complete my poomsae and self defense for today but I will just finish it on Sunday. I just came home and saw that the pre test run is cancelled which is a pretty fortunate since I came back home late and I can get more rest now! I’m a little nervous for the pre test but I believe in myself. Now i’m going to look through the instructors book for the written test

Today was pretty chill. After a small breakfast, I was chilling for a while and then took my dog on a nice walk. After, I had lunch and said bye to my dad because he is going to NYC to visit his old friend. My mom and sister were at work so it was just me and my dog. But my sister came home a little while after my dad left. I watched some TV and afterwards did my requirements and waited for my mom to get home so we could go to the gym for me to do my run. This week, I’ve been running extra because I missed on day last week and I want to not have to run extra after my 1 mile at the pre test. My time has been improving a lot so that’s good. My fastest time for a mile has been like around 10:30 but that’s when I really pushed myself and went really fast. My average time is 12:30 ish. I’m a little nervous for the pre test but my instructors tell me it’s a lot easier than it sounds like. I’ve been studying for the written test with the instructors book my mentor gave me so that’s good.I just had dinner and am about to have a shower.

7/29

Today I woke up a little early to get my run in outside instead of on the treadmill. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be! I had to take lots of breaks when on the treadmill, I can go consistently without stopping. It’s probably because I’m not used to it and because of the incline. After I had breakfast, I finished my requirements and chilled for some time. Then I went to my taekwondo class to help out in the kids class and then take the senior class after it. I had a mentor session after where we worked on my rolls. I’m getting kind of better at them but I always get scared right before I do it.
