Tips for Testing

This will be my 4th time at black belt testing so here are a few things I recommend! 1) Please please please get to testing early, I reccomend about 20 minutes early just so you can put your stuff down, stretch, and do whatever you need to do to be mentally prepared. 2) Double check the website and your book that you have everything filled out and organized for the masters to go through and check off. 3) On testing night say loud "yes sirs" and "yes ma'ams," if they can't hear you from 20 feet away we will all be doing burpees! 4) Check over the emails to make sure you bring everything you need (sticks, staff, bolo, knife, sparring gear, white uniform, t-shirt or jacket to cover up, and your book). I also highly recommend bringing a water bottle but also a little pick-me-up drink or snack (whether thats a little brownie/cookie, protein bar, gatorade, etc). Whatever it is that can help you settle down in the middle of testing, it can be really helpful just to look forward to something half way through. Thats about all I can think of right now--of course making sure that you know your stuff is key but if you don't know it by now, thats a problem you can't really fix 2 days before testing. I hope everyone is having a great week! ~ Peyton
