Saturday

Today was a really good day. Started my morning with helping with family class at the Lake Norman school. Instructor Lloyd was leading class today, and I always enjoy class with him. He mixes it up and does some things a little different. He is great at explaining why we do things and the practical use of the move, position, kick, or strike. Then I got a chance to help with the Little Tigers class. I have never helped with them before. I was a really great experience to assist with little ones. It also reminded me when Nate was little, but he is not little any more. Nate was at Junior Instructor camp. He was great to really take some time and work on the basics with them. I got a chance to work with a few of the kids. It was a great way to start my day. Then we have Black Belt class, which was also led by Instructor Lloyd and Instructor Jolly. Again, Instructor Lloyd mixed things up and we got through many poomsaes, kicks, self defenses, and sparring combinations. It was a great way to exercise and they helped us tweak our movements, stances, etc. Then, I came home and ran since I was already warmed up. I did some jump rope and finished my remaining exercises for the day. Then my wife and I went out to lunch, which rarely happens. Then we headed to Grandmaster Evin's school for the Junior Instructor ceremony. It was great to see so many kids there and wanting to learn more. We got Nate, headed home, he showered, and then he chilled out. I was very surprised that he did not nap or fall sleep. He played a bit, and then had dinner. It was about 7:30 when he finally passed out in front of the TV. We got him in bed, and I am sure we will see him bright and early in the morning. I was a good Saturday. Tomorrow we head to USC to watch my daughter cheer for the girl's basketball. Looking forward to the adventure.
