Journal 3: Being tired and other stuff

I went to black belt class and sparring yesterday. And personally, I think they are not so bad. But after you spar, you do these crazy workouts when you're already tired from brutally fighting for the past 20 minutes. You just wanna lay there like the hopeless blob you are. At the beginning of class they handed out bracelets in tribute to Master Richie. He died just two months ago. It's really sad. Just goes to show that life is really precious. They also said that they were looking for volunteers to help his wife. I am planning on being a volunteer because I'm pretty good at yard work and doing chores around the house. I've been scared to go on a run because of what happened LAST TIME, but I've gathered enough courage to go. I'll bring a person with me this time, and I'll bring a map so I can work out how far I'm going to go. My insanely ambitious crazy goal is to do ten miles, then do 500 pushups and sit-ups, do 50 V sit ups, then do 50 burpees, and then collapse. Not too hard, right. I know it's almost physically impossible to do that, but the thing about me is if I don't work up to my goal, I will feel really guilty and sad. Like a lazy snail. I'll update tomorrow to tell you guys if I survived or not. My dad's birthday was Friday. We decorated the living room and I hid in a box with a birthday card and a chai latte in the box. He opened the box and I scared him half to death. So that was a nice day. Since we moved, me and my mom are on a journey to make the house into those homes you see in magazines. My room looks great, but it's missing a few things. I'm gonna get a desk, and we are going to get some minor things that will make the room nicer as a whole. School is starting! Yay! ...Ugh. School. I can't believe it. After a fleeting three months of vacation, back to "the square of Blah blabh blabh and Shakespeare whatever and 'today class, we're gonna learn spanish nouns in a boring way!' and blah blaha llamadramashamallamaasjfnskdng.

Yeah. Sounds so EXCITING! I can't wait to see all my friends, though. And see if we have some classes together. I'm sharing a locker with my friend, who we'll just give a fake name for. What about... Walmart. Yeah, Walmart's a great name. So Walmart and I are sharing a locker. Yeah. And I'm sharing a locker with my other friend Target in eighth grade. I think sometime this week I'll work on my essay. We had a summer reading essay that we had to hand in on the first week of school. The essay topics are so boring. Easy. But boring. I don't know how you're supposed to write 350 words on what genre you think the book is about. I can do that in one sentence. 'The genre of this essay is realistic fiction, and I know this because it presents a fake character but a realistic scenario which could have happened in real life.' There. Done. But I suppose I'll have to make up a bunch of mumbo jumbo to fill in the rest.

Ugh. School.
