Daily Journal #34: Just Got Back From Camp

This week I went on a mandatory field trip this week in which we left Tuesday morning and got back this afternoon. We went to a camp owned by Young Life called Windy Gap; we go to this camp every year, and it is both a competition among the classes and a time for plenty of praise and worship for God. Windy Gap is in Weaverville, NC, which is just south i believe of Asheville. At this camp there is no cell service or WiFi so I was not able to log anything until today, and I actually kind of liked that separation from the media for a few days because we were able to grow closer as a high school without the pressure of the media, and I was able to have some time to myself in which I wasn't worried about what I need to do, what I haven't done that day, etc. because I was able to just be present in the moment and enjoy the peacefulness of camp, which I haven't been able to do in months due to always having something to do for school and/or the cycle on top of having to build new friendships at my school since all of them left after last year. On a bit of a random note, I go to a very very small school in which the Junior class has 37 people and there are only 62 girls in all of high school. As much as I liked having time to rest and recharge, I am so very glad to be back in Charlotte because I actually missed my busy schedule.
