This is my first journal and I am currently a first dan testing for my second. I honestly have been really dreading the cycle just because last time all the physical requirements were really tough on me. But I kinda think it was because I was so hard on myself with everything, I made my entire life literally only taekwondo and it was lowkey draining. So now I've figured out a way to split up my requirements to make it easier on myself and maintain balance throughout the cycle. Today is run day so I'm just waiting for the weather to cool down a little like in the evening time or something and then I'll do my run. Summer has been kinda boring for me so far so the black belt cycle does give me something to focus on. I also had the World Cup which I watched pretty regularly but now that is over. I watched the final during my friends bday party and it was so fun cuz we all kept screaming at the TV. Argentina played genuinely so horribly but karma for all that cheating they were doing. Spain had 20 attempts and Argentina had 0. Like that's just embarrassing. Anyways very happy for Spain! I still need to find a mentee but I honestly don't really have anyone in mind as of now especially because the cycle is technically 11 weeks and I need 15 mentor meetings and 12 mentee meetings but last cycle I went wayyy over on my mentor meetings so I should be fine and for mentee I only need one extra so that won't be hard either. Pretty long journal today but honestly might be one of my favorite parts of the cycle(kinda lame ik).
