My school got called off again tomorrow. Its comical that 2 inches of snow / ice will completely wreck school systems for half the week. States in the north often get multiple inches of snow and they still commute to work and school like any other regular day. I spent a lot of my time today trying to clear ice off of my driveway. I never thought of how steep my driveway was until it was coated in ice. I felt like a penguin the way I would start at the top of the driveway to hack away at the ice and then make one wrong step and begin to slide all the way back down to the sidewalk. Without the help of the sun, I think my driveway would still be a sheet of ice. Later in the day I did my requirements. As I was relaxing later in the evening I though of something that kind of boggled my mind. If you took really large mile long rulers and placed it around Hawaii for example to get a measurement, you would get a distance in miles. Now If you took a yard stick and then measured the entire coastline of Hawaii like you just did with the mile long ruler, you should get roughly the same thing but not quite, you would get a slightly larger distance because you would be able to measure all the small details that the mile long ruler misses. for example if there were some coves or inlets that the big ruler missed. Now if you kept on doing this with progressively smaller units of measurement, your distance would keep on getting larger because each smaller unit of measurement would cover details that the last unit overlooked. Now I was thinking, This could really apply to anything, your car, your kitchen table, but more importantly life. Here is what I mean. "The smaller the steps, the longer the path may seem; but every tiny measurement adds up to a masterpiece" Quoted from me. - Lucas
