Today was black belt class. We did bocho dan one step and some forms. Also tomorrow is the super bowl and I’m supa excited. I hope the Eagles win and I am also happy about the halftime show. I like Sza and Kendrick Lamar. Here is a quote I found “You never know true beauty until you see the earth from space.”

The Eagles won! I was nervous before but when it started the Chiefs had no chance. They could not get through the defense and Patrick Mahomes forgot how to throw! Anyways, now that football is over, it’s just soccer lets go Arsenal! Here is what the Eagles head coach said, “to be the greatest you have to be surrounded by the greatest.”

I probably should have talked about this earlier, but I have some small goals I want to do. I want to do 2 pullups in a row then hang for one minute. I want to run 3 miles in one go and I’m trying to do a handstand (it’s not going well☹). Here is the daily quote: “The only bad thing about a star is they burn up.” - j cole

Today I did a mentee session with Zeke and Roman. We worked on high yellow self-defense, basic blocking form, Il Chang and Kwon Sool. Yesterday, I had a mentee session with Mikey. We worked on Oh Chang, blue belt one step, and stances. Here are some wise words: “if you wait until the last minute to do something it only takes one minute.”

Today I’m a little sad but also happy. Instructor Max won’t be teaching sparring class anymore. I am glad he will still be there on Saturdays. Also, his own school is doing well so that’s good. I also had a mentor session with Master Opey and we worked on poomsae. I also found more answers to the black belt test. A quote from no one’s favorite villain: “Fine, I’ll do it myself!” Thanos

Today we’re going to talk about sharks because I got nothing else. So, there’s over 500 species, some extinct like the largest shark, the megalodon, growing to 60 feet long. Also, the smallest shark is the dwarf lantern shark only reaching 8 inches. While some sharks have special abilities, like the bull shark who can survive in fresh water. I shall talk more about this tomorrow

Continuing yesterday’s topic we shall talk about the third biggest shark, the Greenland shark. It can grow to about 21 to 24 feet long and they can live for hundreds of years. They are also one of the slowest moving sharks, moving less than one mile per hour! Anyways, Happy Valentine’s Day!

Today in blackbelt class we worked on staff form 1 and bo cho dan special. Then I went home and ate breakfast. Then I went to the Asian market with my dad and brother. We restocked on everything and got some boba. Then when we got home, we realized we forgot the sweet chili sauce, which is one of the main things we needed. ☹But at least we had pho tonight 😊

This week I only have 4 classes because of testing. Also, we might finally get snow. I hope we get a lot because we have a really steep hill in our neighborhood and when it snows, we slide down the hill. But knowing Charlotte weather we’re probably not going to get much snow. Maybe one day I can visit more snow! Anyways, here is a quote from my least favorite football team, “Keep pounding!”

Today I had Philippine marital arts, and we worked on all the stuff we need to know for testing next week. Also my friend Mikey is testing today for his high blue belt (good luck) this week! I know he will do well. This week I am going to focus on trying to get 3 pull ups in a row! That’s all I have to say, bye!!
