I seem to post my journal entries so late that they count towards the next day. Trying to get this one in today. Working in the aftermath of a system conversion that is said to be a success. I wonder what it would take for it not to be considered a success. How many continuing issues and of what magnitude would they need to be to not be considered successful? Maybe as long as we, those who are privileged to have the job of dealing with issues, deal with them so effectively, or as long as we are being creative and resourceful with workarounds, the perception will continue to be that of success. I fail to see the good sense in making a challenging job more manual and more error prone with the same expectations that there won't be any. Only so many people can do that for so long and be happy or even satisfied with those conditions.
Still more requirements to do before the night is done.
