After getting in my daily requirements at the Harrisburg Y this morning, I had to go to a friend's job site and help him and his department get ready for a food safety reaudit coming up in October. A food safety reaudit is a return visit by food safety inspectors (either USDA or FDA, depending on what type of food you manufacture). During the initial audit, the inspectors gave the company a failing grade because they found problems such as cross-contamination risks and incomplete record-keeping. Those findings are warnings that something in the system could allow harmful bacteria or allergens to slip through and harm customers who buy their products.
After I left from there, I assisted during the 5:10pm Senior Tiger class at the dojang. I came in tonight and assisted because we're closed for Labor Day on Monday and we have belt-testing next Thursday night, so it's essentially a short week.
